Transfer Feed, but I heard about it from somewhere else, maybe putting two and two together though if Holding now going to Sheff Utd as they don’t want to pay for a player with 6 months left

It would be insane to pay £3m+ for a defender who is free in 6 months time.
Sheffield United are right to steer clear on that basis and I can’t believe we would even entertain the notion.

@AFCCOVENTRY desperately searching for an insanely vague transfer rumour on Twitter to post on here!

For the record, I love it.

In 6 months time we could well of missed out on the playoffs.

I agree that £3million is way OTT, but maybe Doug is taking a gamble on pushing for the top 6.

It sounds.logical but although he can physically occupy the position he does not appear to perform well there Posh owner MacAnthony assures Coventry City fans that EMC's the real deal

Players progress. There are plenty of example of players playing one position, then another, then another.

Antonio at West Ham went from being a RM, RWB to striker. Or CR7 from RW to LW to ST. Good players find ways to impact the game from anywhere on the pitch and that’s why Haji did well playing LW last season despite his natural position being striker. It’s not a stretch to say EMC can’t play RW until it’s been tried and tested.

On other years if we dont do business on deadline day, do they still say "that's business done" ?

Think so. New management tho so maybe new way of doing things. Have we always done a deadline day signing under Doug?

Don't see the hype in it having to be done on deadline day, always find it weird how people (usually the media) act like signings don't count if they aren't done in the last few hours.

Except for Paterson’s short term deal being announced at 8pm tonight, it certainly is complete.
I think this Thursday (in time for the Ipswich game) if and only if we do not sign anyone tonight.

Grimes signing makes it a decent window for me. Had we not signed Grimes then it would have been a poor one. Cover for right back or a centre half would have been nice but with players to come back to fitness we look good overall
