Have the club had any response from the Transport Secretary regarding their backing for the Midlands Connect rail link? re: Midlands Connect - Midlands sports clubs back plans for rail link

Are there any longer term plans for the current shuttle bus trial? Whilst it has been a great addition and is generally very convenient it does seem to have outgrown its current capacity, the post-game 17:00 and 17:30 services were both full and gone before 17:15 on Saturday which left folks stuck till 6pm or paying for a taxi instead.

The car park problems have to be addressed for next season. Locking people in the stadium for an hour isnt acceptable

It seems people are able to watch Saturday 3pm games through IPTV at a lot of Coventry pubs. I take it this is something the club aren’t interested in stopping? Or are they not aware it’s happening?

Can you ask if there are any other options other than Road Closures? Maybe stewarding the actual ways to cross a bit better? (The subway, the bridge, the crossing).

I am guilty of running over the roundabout myself after games but if they were to disperse people up to the subway that goes under and then down the path it would be a lot better (I didn't even know it was there until this season)

That will be an above the club level, not sure Doug King is going to rock up at a pub and shout Gotcha.

Now the club can see the demand for buses is there, with the road closure in place, would they look at some kind of massive bus pool to get people away to town straight after the final whistle? No timetable, just a f*ck tonne of buses ready to go. Would help clear the area and support getting car parks open faster. Should be in place for concerts etc. as well tbf. It just depends where and how they will do it to get around the road closure.

At the minute I guess they do it at the little bus part at the other side of Tesco / use that back road which still goes out onto Longford Road and is in the same traffic caused by the Road Closure and Blue Ribbon roadworks.

I'm not sure it would help clear the area by much to get them open, the car parks will still be full and waiting.

If we were getting 10k attendances I get it, but we have higher average crowds than in my lifetime

Yeah, that's the other side of it. Especially away games.

Any places I know are usually mostly ST holders and people who go up, I'd bet there are usually much busier on away days.

Totally agree, would matter a lot more if attendances were suffering. My local refuses to do it as they’re too scared of the potential fine whereas another venue I know were fined a couple of times but make profits on match days far in excess of those fines.

The clubs don’t really seem to care, whereas the broadcasters care very much. That should tell you who it really hurts.

Given our current attendances, the net impact on the club from lost ticket sales would be the sum total of fuck all. More people than ever who care to any extent are up there for home games, and we will be selling out most if not all our away allocations now the good vibes are coming back.

This was more the point of my question, I’m not interested in the streams being shut down, more so interested in if it’s the club losing money. But as @rob9872 rightly pointed out, it’s keeping casual fans interested. Particularly in away midweek games

Distribution for tv rights is pre-set is it not, so I can't see the club caring too much. It's sky who probably care most, and I can't see too many people giving a shit about that.
