Huge win. Makes up for the Derby loss. Looking forward to having Rudoni back after the break.

A great win all the more so as I mentally prepared myself for getting nothing out of this match.

Who said Haji can't play through the middle, eat humble pie guys, eat it. 😁

All my anxiety about whether Haji Wright could play through the middle, or whether 4ATB was sturdy enough has just melted away. We still have Rudoni and Sheaf to return to the squad. I'm drunk on possibility right now. Possibility and Camden Stout.

Performance of the season! Controlled from start to finish.
Haji Wright proving why we paid £7.7m for him, he'll get MOTM today and rightly so, but Jamie Allen was sublime. He was integral when we started our good run under Lampard and he's come back in and done it again today.
Torp was everywhere. What a way to put an off performance to bed.
Am i right in thinking that was Wright's first hat-trick for us? If so what a time to do it.
Also, for all the talk about Bellingham, i didn't even notice him today. Our midfield ran the show.

Awkward Season 4 GIF by The Office

To be fair, don't think anyone seen that coming!

When's he's that sharp and at it he's unstoppable

Not only can he play through the middle as its his natural position , but hes shown how the role should be played today .. that was tremendous and without being silly all our forwards can learn something from that today ..

Ran the channels , won headers , linked up well , bullied their defenders and scored a hat trick .. superb

He also won the penalty and managed to get 3 crosses in

Shows bouncebackability
Wins 2/3 without rudoni
Shows that little overall difference between jds and bidwell
Dropped Simms because he doesn't put in enough effort
Rightly decided wright can do a job down middle
Signed Patterson who if he plays he wins everytime
Shut up the idiots who said we play poor football and they "could see a loss coming" 🤣
Super Frank Lampard!

Brilliant win and the reaction we needed from Derby.

Thought it was a risky move to play Wright at CF, especially after how lacklutre he was last time out, but that has been vinidcated ten times over. Wasn't sure how well Wright was as a CF but today shows he's more than capable.

I think without tuesday's performance, today wouldn't have happened
Agreed

We could have won at derby and drew today and had more points but today we got a performance

Arguably the most dominant performance I have ever seen from city.

Before I was just happy to make playoffs. Now I'm wondering if we could well be in the premier league next season!

The possession
The pressure
The bite in tackle
Winning headers

Oh man today was glorious

What a game and what a performance. An epic atmosphere too. Don’t think I stopped singing and the place was really bouncing at times. It must have driven the players on. I am currently eating a small mountain of humble pie on Haji. I thought he looked miles off being fit on Tuesday but Lampard must have known he was close to his best and stuck with him. He looked unplayable today at times. Everyone was excellent. Special mention to Jamie Allen whose energy was critical in the first half. How many times did he win the ball back? He set a really high standard from the start. Well played my Sky blues, well played 🩵

We both agreed he needed a chance playing through the middle when it wasn’t as soon as he’s moved to a new club in a new country. He should be our first choice 9 (I’ve heard you’re not into the numbers thing but I don’t care)
I did say number 9 is the only acceptable use tbf.
I like Wright on the left but i said all along EMC is a big performer for Lampard. It was a no brainer he'd want to try EMC and Wright in the same team, dropping Simms makes way more sense.
