Grimes is great as he knits things together, offers great cover, is great on the ball and he has help cut out the stupid passed the cbs make as the cbs don't need to pass through the lines as the can just give it to him and he gets things going. Some after pub thoughts from myself -
Two players I feel deserve massive plaudits -
Rudoni - Take out the obvious O Hare comparison’s , he’s really stepped up the last couple of months, keeps us ticking and has been my player of the season so far. Is the difference maker most weeks and a massive factor as to why we’ve done so well under
Grimes - Consistent. Nothing fancy, does the basics right. Massive January signing for us, 7 out of 10 every week, his assurance I feel has made us better as a team.
Looking back to the start of the season to now, to still be in with a chance of the playoffs is night and day. Regardless of how the season ends it’s been one hell of a ride, I just hope that if we don’t make it this season we have a proper pre season and give it a right go next. No more of this season starts in October. Players seem to have bought into Lampard's philosophy. The future is bright
A lot more31K at home is soo good.
I wonder how much demand we had for the game
Anyone know the deal with Binks?
Anyone else clock him doing a very quick applause to the fans on his own then straight down the tunnel

And from that you presumably think he's off ffs?
whne they are all fit and playing well Grimes, Sheaf and Rudi are some midfield.

He took one to the face in the battle with Dike towards the end tbf.Anyone know the deal with Binks?

Not forgetting losing away to Stoke first Championship match of the season.I mean, it's our own fucking fault for not beating Hull.
I've given Sheaf some (deseeved) stick this season, but he was excellent yesterday, his best game of the season. Hopefully he's back to his normal level just when we need it.I've been Sheaf critic but that midfield configuration is something else.
As good as Rudonis been this season that was another level yesterday and I'm sure Sheaf and Grimes gave him the platform to deliver it.
I also hope that if we don't make it, then we avoid the natural crap "some" of the fan base will throw at the team. To be where we sit today after where we were at Xmas is just an incredible achievement that needs remembering and as you say built upon. Gawd only knows what Mondays results will see but regardless we are absolutely right in the mix and it has been a fantastic 4 or so monthsSome after pub thoughts from myself -

I’m honestly more worried about the crap some fans will throw at us if we get promoted and don’t do well!I also hope that if we don't make it, then we avoid the natural crap "some" of the fan base will throw at the team.
Long way to go yet - don’t get too excited game by game don’t waste the experience - just take it in and enjoyI’m honestly more worried about the crap some fans will throw at us if we get promoted and don’t do well!
Critic is how we're putting it eh? LolI've been Sheaf critic but that midfield configuration is something else.

Wouldn’t surprise me at allGood, confident game all around.
For those who may be interested, I find these predicted final table results interesting. If you scroll to bottom it gives predicted scores for the last 3 games. Losing to both Plymouth and Luton but still beating Boro to finish 6th? A little funny if it plays out like that...

I thought Rudoni was good pretty much from the start. There is a post of mine from an early game but I can't be arsed to retrieve it. I likened him to Ian Gibson (see pic left) 1966-70. But he's better, more consistent if less spectacular than Gibbo. I haven't loved a single City player so much in years. His value rises with every game and we will be fortunate to have him next year, but at least we will have a pot of money. He’s come on hugely, even since his injury he’s gone to another level. Massively impressive.

I said to my lad when he came on let’s hope we don’t concede 2We can only dream someone wants him

He can claim the clean sheet though
what about Collins coming and claiming that ball and his clearance first half
He can only deal with what comes his way. It's stupid going on the attack when he has done nothing wrong. What a low bar lauding over Collins claiming a ball & clearing it - wow
I recall telling my Huddersfield-supporting acquaintance (who lives in Spain nowadays) that we'd signed Rudoni.
His reaction was that he's a bit of a show-pony with little vision, and a lightweight at that.
I'm massively fighting the urge to rub it in.
we seem to be quite good at turning reasonable players into good players. This is hilarious one of his biggest strengths is that he's quite big and very athletic definitely not lightweight at all
They all said he has a bad attitude as well when he definitely doesn't at all and seems to be loving life.
What really helps is our players get a great backing most of the time from us. It helps the confidence and pushes them on. Both Robins and Lampard have made a point of it. But look at what happened before when the crowd turned on Collins. It smashed his confidence. Good to see it is back and hopefully the crowd doesn't get on his back again.we seem to be quite good at turning reasonable players into good players.
can't be an accident that it keeps happening.
He looked onside on the replay, lucky to get away with that oneWas Armstrong's goal offside?
He looked on from where I was sat but 97p pints cloud a man's judgement...
I think our collective arseholes would have caved in had it stoodHe looked onside on the replay, lucky to get away with that one
