club to hold meetings with fans (10 Viewers)

Holdings aren't in admin though, never have been. The only people who say they are is ACL and that is surely spin. If they were then the staff/players wouldn't be getting paid and they are.

Pretty sure in the next few weeks holdings will buy back Ltd anyway as they can pay £1 in every £1 if they want to for the debt because it's owed to one of their parent companies anyway.

If SISU pay back £1 in every £1 that will mean they have to pay in full the money they owe ACL.

i do not understand:thinking about::thinking about: why is the administrator not making these statements? :thinking about::thinking about:

As much as you might like SISU not to be involved with the running of the club, they are. Tim Fisher is a director of CCFC Holdings which clearly has an interest in the club.

Continually asking "why is Tim Fisher commenting on behalf of the club" is erroneous and unhelpful.

Let's focus our energies into encouraging all parties to stop behaving like children and sort this mess out.

should we read anything in to the fact that TF has reappeared in the last couple of days? he'd been quiet for a while but now, just as the administrator is due to report back, he's back on the scene. hope it's not going to turn out that SISU still have control over everything and we're stuck with them.

Sky Blues will hold forums and meetings with fans over next few weeks

We will be holding forums and meeting with fans' groups over the next few weeks to explain recent events surrounding the club.

Tim Fisher, chief executive of Coventry City Football Club, said: "The club must move to a long term model which is financially sustainable.

"We will be holding meetings with fans over the coming weeks to explain events to date; to establish precisely and in detail what the legal situation means; outline the short term plans and long term vision and provide a question and answer opportunity for fans.

"Despite suggestions from ACL and the Council to the contrary, ACL and the Council have consistently refused to negotiate a deal that is commercially viable for the football club.”

Dates and venues for the forums, which will be open to the media, will be confirmed in due course.

If the above is what we can expect at these brainwashing seminars, it's a complete waste of fans time and SISU can stuff it up their pastey fat arses.

Why is he still spouting nonsensical garbage. Somebody really will give him a good hiding if he fronts a fans forum, when will he understand 90% of supporters want him and his employers gone !

Another reason not to go...I don't think I'd be able to restrain myself!

What worries me is that the administrator say's f--all and even before the court investigation results are announced next week this guy fisher is already organising meetings to discuss our future basiclly it reads that SISU are 100% sure they will be in full control when the dust settles and have had assurances off the administrator that this will be the case
You would surly wait till the investigation results are announced before planning to meet the supporters?
There are only two certainties in all of this myself or my mates will not be attending his stupid meetings and that if we play home games at another gound it will be the lowest attendance ever recorded in league 1

If you would like to be on the guestlist for the latest round of 'He said, she said/they started it', contact the club with your details via email. Please also attach your will to live, as you'll no longer require it.

BOYCOTT OR PROTEST?!!! They are the only considerations to make with regards this meeting imo. Actions speak louder than words and SISU's actions over the years has been deafeningly ruinous. Time for fans to make big statement of intent. SISU out HASKELL IN

Well it sure isn't SISI only care about themselves and how to make the next Buck :blue:
I hate all that emotive crap, whilst all that is going on who's caring about the poor little kiddies not getting any food because of the club not paying their rent?

Wherever the meeting is (and be sure that the audience will be very carefully selected by SISU) we should have a full on protest outside if we cant get in, something that gets full press coverage so these sharks can't spin it to say it was support for them.

We will be holding forums and meeting with fans' groups over the next few weeks to explain recent events surrounding the club.

Look these aren't going to be brainwashing meetings and anyone who thinks that they are is just wrong. We don't do brainwashing we will be holding perfectly acceptable "THOUGHT REFORM" meetings where we will express our point of view in a way the fans will learn to understand. There's more chance of UFO's being explained acceptably than the events at CCFC but please come along anyway

Tim Fisher, chief executive of Coventry City Football Club, said: "The club must move to a long term model which is financially sustainable."

The model is one we bought off of EBay and is a scale one but perfect for playing Subbuteo on and is certainly financially sustainable.

"We will be holding meetings with fans over the coming weeks to explain events to date;
You need to find someone willing to go out with you first,
Then you need to arrange to meet them somewhere........

to establish precisely and in detail what the legal situation means;
We're screwed on the Golden Share and we're throwing everything we can at the courts to drain ACL of cash and get them to go under.

outline the short term plans
You've seen the barrow at Tesco right?

and long term vision
We're visiting specsavers to sort that out

and provide a question and answer opportunity for fans.
A sort of Timmy asks the questions you fill in the answers opportunity.

"Despite suggestions from ACL and the Council to the contrary, ACL and the Council have consistently refused to negotiate a deal that is commercially viable for the football club.”
We want everything for nothing (or the scary boss lady will have words me again) and so far the others don't seem to think that's very fair.

Dates and venues for the forums, which will be open to the media, will be confirmed in due course.
We're opening it to the media as we're worried no one will turn up otherwise. Oh and don't expect it to be at the Ricoh, remember that barrow at Tesco that I mentioned.........

I agree couldn't be more confused by the situation tried to run all the outcomes through my head who's got the upper hand has any1 other than the fans got the clubs well being In mind and all I can work out is that the more I learn the less I know but this latest statement does point to the fact that sissu whether rightly or wrongly seem to think they aren't going any where which if this is the case beggars belief that they've alienated themselves from everybody that they need fans landlord football league and even now the local press who lets face it had more splinters from sitting on the fence than a beavers arse

If people think these meetings are to brainwash fans, they must have a very low opinion of their fellow fans who just accept whatever someone tells them.

I do, I have a pretty low opinion of the human race in general when it comes to believing what they are told when its spun even half decently. Otherwise there would be no religion, no homeopathy, no astrology, none of our newspapers especially the daily mail, how many ignorant people believe we didnt go to the moon for example?

Tim fisher has said alot of things that sound good and without thinking about them carefully it's easy to be taken in by someone who knows how to misrepresent that facts especially if they are also willing to outright lie.

We arn't taught proper critical thinking at school and I truly believe the majority of the worlds ills would be cured if everyone knew how to properly think critically and how to evaluate what we are told.

An awful lot do need somebody to tell them what to think, lot of doff cappers amongst our support.

Bit of money and they go all weak at the knees.

Yes, lets all go and tell SISU to get the hell out so we can move forward. SISU must be thick if they don't know how we fans feel. Lets go and boo and hassle !

So SISU engage a large PR company (Pitch) to handle their public image. Now you wouldnt pay their large fees for nothing now would you......

all of a sudden we have .......
the club trying to engage with grassroots clubs
statements in the media more measured than aggressive
TF only commenting from time to time
SW put at the fore front a little more because he is a "good football person"
press releases about getting involved with CCFC Ladies
Cov Supporters team getting backing from the club
Fans forums to explain how badly done by the club has been.
Fans forums to explain why a short term move away is essential and will be worth the pain (they have to do something following the campaign to stay in coventry)
the emphasis on we want a deal but ACL wont deal with us (see thread on lease legals to explain why they cant but those reasons are glossed over by TF)
Efforts to engage with the Trust and other fans groups (dont actually offer anything as such - "just trust us" )
the whole club and SISU stance portrayed as softer more caring (I say club because at this point SISU own it also the PR is portrayed as the club because that is where the fans relate to not a mayfair sharkfund)

All the while keeping the financial pressure on ACL, Charity & Council............
cant let the stadium if they could because administrator still has valid lease/licence on it
administrator doesnt have to pay them a penny
Legal bills mounting putting pressure on cash
time it takes to sort all this mounts too which deflects from running the business
money spent on legals can not be reinvested in the stadium so affecting earning potential
hard to plan ahead to drive the business
even harder to attract a realistic buyer
a judicial review that could run well into next year and a potential penalty at 10% of income
enough PR and it will be ACL/council seen as the only ones being unreasonable, after all they are the ones refusing to talk to SISU - perception not the truth is everything

Result
ACL run out of money
Council say we can not afford to keep fighting (not that they want to give up the fight)
deal with SISU in driving seat to drive the settlement
SISU get they they want
in time the froth from the original PR disappears

Conclusion
ACL Charity & Council screwed over
the fans remain as they have always been ...... pawns that are told little and thrown scraps to provide much income but control very little
..................But the sharks still control the club

just a scenario nothing more............................:thinking about:

But most people understand this OSB and hate the hedge fund and Dim Tim a tad more each week because of it. How much more despicable do they have to get ??
The most obvious thing is the spinning the time out and burying the club in a maze in a blatant policy of trying to deter other investors !
This impartial administrator should be called to task now and told to give a verdict so the FL can make their decisions !

God forbid that anybody should employ a major Public Relations company to put their spin on something, must be evil.

Weren't Weber Shandwick appointed by ACL recently?

My reading of the lack of comment from the FL is that they don't actually care. As long as they can include CCFC in the fixtures list for next season they don't care who owns the club or whether it will continue to screw other people around.

It is all too complicated for them and quite frankly too expensive for them to get involved.

Not an unreasonable scenario, OSB. But do you think that SISU have the money to finance this long-term? The money for the administrator's fees, legal costs and PR fees has to be found somewhere - is there enough in the various holdings companies? These companies also have to find wages etc. and have no apparent source of income. SISU Capital is hardly awash with cash, < £800k at bank in the last accounts.

I really don't understand Lord Summerisle's attitude to ACL. He seems to think the council somehow screwed the club by setting a 1.2m rent.

If the club didn't want to pay 1.2m they could always have built the stadium for themselves. After all they are a private company. The club could also have built a stadium for what they needed not a super duper one housing 32000 non existent fans. But they wanted a 32000 seater stadium and the council built it for them.

For what it is worth I always thought they should never have done that, but at no point do I see they have shafted the club.

What no one seems to realise is that it is incredibly difficult to get planning permission for new football stadia, so SISU are blowing out of their arse if they think they will get one easily. Furthermore the council could knock down the stadium if CCFC don't want it and build something else.

I hope someone has a few beers whilst at the forum, and does something naughty to TF. :D
