Just heard on CWR,Coventry United attracted 1000 fans at their game on Saturday ,That for them must be highly encouraging.

i am going to be honest here ,its not for me ,its a much lower than expected standard of football , doesnt seem very well set up , spoke to one of the owners and he said he wants 3 promotions in 5 years , looking to use the acadamy pitch if ccfc dont come back basically ,also the pitches at alan higgs are not in a good state tbh

i bloody loved that kit, was the 1st one I owned and bought it on the morning of my 1st ever away match. Put the kit on, sat on the coach and headed up to Blackburn...

Lee Hurst was an absolute star that day !

Lee Hurst was a fantastic player. But I didn't like that kit as everyone joked that it was basically pink from a distance. Given it's tightness, that wasn't a good look for Sumo!

It would be 1003 if they played at the Ricoh! :D

Yeah, he was good. Gould buggered his career up with that ridiclous stint at an army assault training course in Hampshire.

Be 1,001 if they changed their name.

Something like Coventry Highfield, or Coventry Godiva would have been much better Otis, the United is just bland and I think they have missed out on more support calling themselves that.
Tap into some of the citys history and they would have got a bigger support in my opinion

I know the bloke behind this aswell, he is an attention seeking Man United fan.

Leamington had 1002 at their friendly on Friday night. Think this was mentioned on CWR. Maybe someone got the wrong end of the stick.

If that's me apologies all.!!:(

Question for CCFCWAY,that being your first game ,what was the score ,the the one where we thumped them 5-0 or 5-1 .

The one i'm thinking I believe David Batty was sything people down for fun and we had a Scottish Loanee from Celtic I think .It was evident he wasn't really fitting in to our plans ,IIRC he'd had personal Probs north of the border .He came on in the second half and Didhim, Batty missed that summers International tournament ,always loved the guy for that but just can't remember his name ,or was it against Leeds??

We played there at the start of last season and the pitch was quality

Their defence may look intimidating, but you can hit them hard at the back without much effort.

Playing surface is always too slippy, far too many games played on there! It is like a sludgy sunday league pitch with pissed up middle aged men trying their best to dribble all over it....
