but in all seriousness, we make 5 changes bringing on 16 year olds, it's not surprising that they score

I apologise, just sick of all the shit that's happening with the club ATM, the last thing I wanna see is the fans turning on the manager..

85. GOAL: 2-0. Brown hits a shot which Murphy does well to even parry but he ball lands at the feet of Antoni Sarcevic who scores from close range.
Attendance is 1455.

If anything Pressley possibly has the hardest job in the FL at present so we need to support the lads all way can, granted only away from home at the moment unless a deal is done for the Ricoh for the club to play there.

Chief Commentator!
Reid looked decent at CB. Murphy unlucky with second goal at least (didn't see what happened on the first). Martins looked OK too.

Having to bring on kids was always going to have an effect on the game. That said, I'd say yesterday's opponents were better than tonight's, and we won there! Suppose friendlies are as unpredictable as league games :)

Always take a Friendlies with a pinch of salt. Silly results in alot of friendlies to be fair.

Martins was at Porto for some time. Thought Manset was a poor Adebola but anyone who has a lump like Ryan Creswell marking them won't win much. Murphy, Willis, Phillips and Garner did what they could. Moose didn't look interested.

The Captain Pugwash goal music was an interesting touch.

Are you really comparing a naturally gifted world class Rooney with several 16 year olds thrown into the side??! A. Rooney is a once in a blue moon player and B. he didn't play his senior debut alongside several other U17's!!!

Yes, Rooney was class at 16, some players don't reach potential until early twenties..... I was focussing on the age thing really. So bloody what if they're only 16.

No, but judging our 16 year olds using Rooney as an example is ridiculous.

What's that got to do with it???

Nobody has seen Rooney either.

My point is, I find it a bit judgemental you assume the worst because we bring 16 year olds onto the pitch. We have to get used to it.

I'm not sure who you are responding to, but I've not made any judgment about any of our young players at all.

And what do you mean nobody has seen Rooney?

Was meant to of said nobody Had seen Rooney.

Nothing personal against you Hill, I just don't get/ like the "they're too young" philosophy.

Fair enough. If they are good enough it doesn't matter what age they are.
I thought you were saying regardless of their age they should be good enough, using Rooney as an example.

Wires crossed.

Thing is STP, some people thought McGoldrick and Clarke wouldn't cut it, a few pre seasons fixtures mean nothing.

Some people are douches. Doesn't stop a blind man from being able to see that Manset has a Christmas Carol that rhymes with "spittle one knee" named after him. Clarke and McGoldrick were proven at L1 or above; Manset was a mediocre impact sub in L2. He makes Clive Platt look like Darren Huckerby.
