It's a gift shame there isn't a gcse on it

Are you sure there isn't already?

Talking of which, my foster daughter gets her results tomorrow. The clever sod is going to set me back a fortune. Serves me right for offering cash incentives.

In that case aren't people going to Shrewsbury supporting a franchise club? Or are they only a franchise club every other week? This is why I think those that only attend away games are hypocrites

There were apparently fewer Cov fans at Carlisle than there were last season for some strange reason, maybe the 'away game only' lot got stuck in a traffic jam or something.

So some of you think NOPM is not working. For sheer desperation by sisu I suggest you look on facebook at the ccfc site. Childish pathetic utter rubbish, and these people are deemed fit and proper to run a football club!!!!!! and still some fans support them.

At the start of this saga I, and many other fans, supported the NOPM campaign. I attended the protest march and was close to pitch invading at Crawley. The turning point for me was when I discovered that SISU have proved that they can fund all of this including a stadium. I dont believe they will be starved out but I do believe that other measures that the fans take can influence decisions at our club. Im not ready to attend Northampton just yet but its turning that way.
Saga? 3 league games in is a Saga? News to me that SISU have proved they can fund 'all of this including a stadium', the slightly contentious matter of obtaining planning permission for this fallacy notwithstanding.

Massively disappointed given your previous stance.

ffs ,theres 10,000 of us that want to watch the team!!!!
Where's the solidarity ?
I have 2 sons aged 11 and 13 that get nopm
1 game and it sounds like we're caving in
Timmy will need a chisel to get his pants off tonight !!!!
Get some perspective Tone! This, by comparison is a thread with many views, however, of the 5000 or so views only a minutae are posting and only a portion of those are actually in favour or wavering regarding attendance at Northants. I'm a native of Cov, in the real world as opposed to this faceless forum, i've yet to meet anybody prepared to admit they'd go to Northants. The resolve is strengthening, the blitz spirit is alive & kicking. The Neville Chamberlain types who go or who are considering, well fuck 'em. We don't need 'em. 31,000 earlier in the year, to 500 odd paying punters for the opening day of the season....

Relax.

I bet he's talking about the unofficial one, the one that is littered with moronic comments and fat people on holiday with Sisu out banners.
And if he is talking about that one, he goes to the top of my list of idiots on this forum.
If not, I apologise in advance.

I dont want SISU running our club as much as anyone on this site, by saga I meant from March onwards. as Greg Clarke has already said his accountants have seen the proof of funds that SISU have. This includes an initial 10,000,000 for a stadium and money to cover losses while we groundshare. If all of that has been proved then the NOPM campaign simply will not work, my worry is actually the campaign will further hinder the chance of a return to the city. I suggest a different approach to the matter, try and get a supporter rep on the bord. Whether than mean Fisher elects to hand of some of the shares to a supporters group or whether we all help raise money to buy Lenoard brody's 4% stake in the club. with having someone on the board we have the transparency that we all desire and can ensure that the new stadium is prgressing, even better, broker a return to the Ricoh. If it was 100% proven that we could not starve them out, would you still carry on with the campaign? and on what grounds?

Couple of games won and you turn to SISU's arsehole, Tim Fisher said "they'll be back", he was laughed at, but oh how very right he was, FUCKING DISGRACEFUL!

Will they go down as history's greatest villains? I think so. Bad luck Pontius Pilate, you've been usurped by these DISGRACES to the human race.

We all know its not exclusively about the money, its more the impact it would have in the national media if Coventry played all of their 'home' games in front of ZERO Coventry fans. If that happened for, say, 3 months The FL would have to act.

By going to Sixfields it is justifying the FL and SISUs groundshare nonsense.

It wasn't rocket science what Tim said. I think people are more interested in supporting CCFC than knowing whether or not Tim makes the odd comment that might be accurate. Where is the excitement in proving him wrong?

Its traitorous of the highest order, next they'll be singing "SISU IN" and "In our Northampton Coaches".

Thing is we know that juggy and Ian go as they were on Cwr after the last game and we know juggy is very anti sisu. Kind of ruins your rant really.

When I miss Coventry, I don't have to go far...I just have to look inside my heart to find them, not a 70 mile round trip to support a team with no love off it's owners. ;)

So why do people support the "Franchise Club" when they play away? Surely if they are NOT supporting CCFC at Sixfields then who are they supporting at the away matches? Your post sums up why boycotting home and not away is so bloody stupid and senseless.

I give up with you lot! Go to Northampton if you so wish BUT don't say you are going there to support Coventry City FC because YOU ARE NOT. You are going there to support a franchise club!!!!! The more that go to support this move, the less likely that they will ever return to Coventry.

The point was supposed to be not giving SISU our money, hence why it was only going to away games. At the moment I still support CCFC and will do until they cease to be CCFC but I'm still not giving them my money...

Shrewsbury and Port Vale will be my first games this season and I am very excited about them.

Like I said Wince, there needs to be leadership from the trust on this issue. They have done nothing to attempt to unite fans and have us all singing from the same hymn sheet, the NOPM campaign will not work as i have proved. there needs to be a new sense of optimism

You haven't proved anything of the sort, SISU could have the funding of Bill Gates and NOPM would still be the only chance of getting rid of them. The idea isn't to make them go bust, it's to make it so their numbers don't make sense, there losses so great that they can never make a profit by staying. To make it so they are constantly having to throw large amounts of Good money after the bad. To make it so the only smart option available to them is to sell up, take whatever they can get and leave.

Tony though says this is a franchise club and will remain in Northampton. Why would you go if its a franchise club?

OK, the money thing I get but the team thing I don't. As many have said they are no longer Coventry City anymore, they are Northampton Sky Blues or SISU City or whatever. So if they are a franchise club at Sixfields then they are the same franchise club when you go and see them at Shrewsbury and Port Vale, aren't they? So why support a team who no longer represent Coventry?

Basically, the away only thing is a way for fans who call others "scabs" and a "fucking disgrace" to still go and support "Coventry" City while slagging fans off who go to Sixfields.

Oh, and I'm not saying people shouldn't do what they want, they can, of course. However, I just don't think it makes sense. The "rules" are being bent and manipulated to suit some but not others.

I find it difficult to accept at the minute that they do represent Coventry now, home or away. At the moment they represent the ambitions of the hedge fund and are being used pawn like to realise them.

Yes, I was surprised when I heard that, considering how anti-SISU he was on here. Good on him though if that's what he wants to do, just underlines his "don't do what I do, do what I say" attitude.

I agree and that's why the "away games only" stance doesn't make sense for me. They are a franchise club who no longer represent Coventry, regardless if they are playing in Northampton, Carlisle, Shrewsbury or anywhere else.
