Basically, the away only thing is a way for fans who call others "scabs" and a "fucking disgrace" to still go and support "Coventry" City while slagging fans off who go to Sixfields.

The KCIC campaign is relevant when CCFC play in Northampton. I don't think, and I may be wrong, that we can force the league to let us play all our away games in Coventry..... :D

OK, the money thing I get but the team thing I don't. As many have said they are no longer Coventry City anymore, they are Northampton Sky Blues or SISU City or whatever. So if they are a franchise club at Sixfields then they are the same franchise club when you go and see them at Shrewsbury and Port Vale, aren't they? So why support a team who no longer represent Coventry?

Oh, and I'm not saying people shouldn't do what they want, they can, of course. However, I just don't think it makes sense. The "rules" are being bent and manipulated to suit some but not others.

I wasn't arguing with you on that - agreeing with you in fact (rare on here I know)
My point is the NOPM campaign is supposed to be to get our club back in Coventry. If you don't believe it's Coventry City anymore then I don't see the point in going.

We all know its not exclusively about the money, its more the impact it would have in the national media if Coventry played all of their 'home' games in front of ZERO Coventry fans. If that happened for, say, 3 months The FL would have to act.

By going to Sixfields it is justifying the FL and SISUs groundshare nonsense.

The FL wouldnt act because they have already said that all they want is for the team to fulfill the fixtures, why wouod they care if there is no fans there?

Not really sure what you are not getting. For most fans it is quite simple we are 100% opposed to the club playing its home matches away from Coventry. For a lot of us even if the club won a 100 games on the trot we simply wont go on principle. However I believe most fans don't yet believe the club is lost forever, and cling to the hope that they may yet return to Coventry. Most fans don't blame the players, as they have no choice, and they all clearly want to play in Coventry. So going to away games is away of showing a support for the team not the owners.
You may as well ask fans travelling to Northampton for 'home' games, how conditional is there support? Lets be honest going to Sixfields is no real hardship for some fans, what would happen if the club was to move further away, 40/50/60 miles would they still go? What would happen if a few months down the line Fisher says because of 'planning' difficulties the exile may now be 6/7/8 years, would they still go, and if not why not?

At the start of this saga I, and many other fans, supported the NOPM campaign. I attended the protest march and was close to pitch invading at Crawley. The turning point for me was when I discovered that SISU have proved that they can fund all of this including a stadium. I dont believe they will be starved out but I do believe that other measures that the fans take can influence decisions at our club. Im not ready to attend Northampton just yet but its turning that way.

Exactly how and when have SISU proved anything of the sort??

NOPM will never work. I tell you what ill show you the maths,

Lets say every game this season was a 7000 sell out. at £16 a ticket this would constitute to £2,576,000 in ticket sales.

SISU HAVE PROVED THEY HAVE AT LEAST £10,000,000 FOR INITIAL PAYMENT FOR A STADIUM AND CAN COVER LOSSES WHILE WE GROUNDSHARE!

Turning up or not it makes no difference. I wont be going but I will not say anything about anyone else going. The stance of the NOPM lot is actually making me want to go to Northampton

hahahahahahahahaha - muppet!

Trouble is Greg Clarke also said he was sure that the Football League had done nothing wrong then the League issue a statement hours later saying they had made errors and had known since March.

Not sure you can place too much reliance on what Mr Clarke says.

What exactly have they shown the League ? was it a bank account with in excess of £10m? Was it budgets showing crowds averaging 6000 and wage costs low? Was it a letter from SISU promising to continue to fund ? Bit like the £1m bond that the league demanded that turned out to be a promise to pay in 3 years time. The Football League have already said on several occassions that they dont have the manpower to investigate things thoroughly why should we think they have on this.

They may have shown the access to funds but that is now what about tomorrow, next month, next year..... one thing we do know is SISU are very good at moving assets around. It may be completely above board but past experience indicates otherwise.

Sorry but I remain sceptical of what exactly has been proven

Worth quoting to agree with.

However, can't control others' actions, can control how you react to them.

Yes i understand exactly the points you are making, however we dont know who the investor is behind SISU. If SISU wanted to sell why not sell when they have already lost 45,000,000 ,under an embargo, facing liquidation, irretrievable breakdown with the council, a slaughtered fan base and an offer on the table? Surely the most sensible option without spending more money to go to Northampton and every other loss which will incur from that. Why would they put in more money to force the groundshare if they thought "if we dont fill it we will have to sell" the risk of that would of been stupid because they would of knew from the outset that that wouldnt happen. All i suggest is a new approach, deffinately trying to get a fans rep on the board

yup,but its not like its even a 2 sided thing

its if you think council are at fault too then you are a sisu lover

there is noone calling anyone a acl lover for hating sisu because we all hold hate for them

they have no common sense.

Not stirring up trouble but I don't know anybody who has been or is going to sixfields. I wouldn't mind an honest veiw of somene who is going to sixfields and what they think of the mess.I wont knock anyone who wants to go and support their team but surely they can't be pleased having to travel to northampton and how do they think we should go about getting us back in coventry.

Correct. You have Higgs and CCC....ACL. All one group but won't always agree. Then you have all the separate groups of SISU that even the FL can't or don't want to understand. Then you have the courts that SISU threaten others with. Not done very well in the courts for a bit either.

its if you think council are at fault too then you are a sisu lover

If you try to make out that the CCC are nearly as much to blame as SISU then people will get upset. The majority know that CCC are partly to blame. At one stage I had them balanced. But the more SISU do the more the balance has tipped. What did it for me was when the loan was refinanced so a lower rent could be charged......what SISU said they wanted at the time...........they tried a Judicial review. The judge said exactly what most of us were saying. There is only one side that can take us back to Coventry. There was only one side that took us away. They did what they could so they didn't have to hold sensible talks. They don't care about our fans. 'So what if you are disabled or infirm. We won't help you get to shitfields. You got cheaper tickets anyway. You can't afford to get to games as well as buy a ticket? Go away then. We want real fans with real money.'

there is noone calling anyone a acl lover for hating sisu because we all hold hate for them

Some hate SISU more than others :thinking about: We could be back at the Ricoh within a couple of weeks if they wanted us back there. And on cheap terms as well. And they would earn much more money than keeping us away. There is no doubt why they are doing it. But in the latest attempt all they have done is rip the club apart.

Some people just go to the game and then go home. Some make it an all dayer, especially on away days. Some like myself make a weekend of it. Oh the joy of Sunday games. It means a lot more to some to give up more than others. I won't see family or friends as much now as I believe in NOPM. I am not saying I am a better supporter or anything. Just that it means more to some than others. NOPM is not a one season thing. It has been building up. People are frustrated. I only come on here now when I have had my happy pills ;)

they have no common sense.

Ah the common sense one :thinking about: It depends on what you believe in to what people with common sense should also believe in. But if someone believes in the opposite to you then their idea of common sense is different to yours. So what we have to do is look at what thoughts are most common. This is what common sense is

if sisu can fund this , why don't they invest in the team or pay there debts ?

Not sure some fans are that bothered to be truthful. Let's be honest if you are in work and have a car and particularly if you live on the south side of Coventry then getting to Sixfields is no real great hardship.30 minutes down the M45/M1,with reduced admission costs to offset the extra travel costs, is not exactly a great sacrifice. The fans going are hardly on a heroic mission to save the club. The fans making the true sacrifice are the fans who could go but won't on principle.
Obviously there are a lot of fans, the elderly, fans with children and fans with no transport and or on low incomes, who getting to Sixfield is a real problem. I doubt if the travelling fans hardly give it a moments thought about these fans, and will probably be happily sitting at Sixfields in 4/5/6 years time, if needs be.
will you tell your grandchildren you was there, when they ask " who were that coventry city team ?". sisu are taking the piss out of your blind faith , wake up, nopm.

What annoys me most is when I initially decided to go to sixfields from the start I came on here to gauge the general feeling..and I was surprised just how in the minority
I was gonna be...I hadn't really spent much time looking into the whole political sorry saga.

After spending a couple of hours discussing with people (and being called scab & scum) I was convinced going to Sixfields was a poor decision.
NOT due to the childish name calling..but the real argument about Cov in Coventry.
Even my 13 year old son gets it!!

I can't believe that after 2 wins (that's all..just 2) people are so weak.

Every extra paid bum on a seat at sixfields will make Timmy smile.

I put this to you,,,those ones that are going today.

If we lose today and then the next game..don't come on here bleating the other way!!!!

Good point piglet and I agree with your comments/

Did you get tickets for Hinckley by the way?

Not in the end...My lad went to see them against Hitchin in the week & said they were awful.

We went to see Burton V Bury yesterday & it was a great game (Edjenguele and Nathan Cameron in for Bury)

Thats where we are going every other week.

It was real odd to see Edje all in red..he played well..& I managed a correct score 2-2 @ £5 12/1 :guitar2:

When I first got there ..I hated it..but once the game kicked off and the goals were flying in..we loved it.

Still want Sky blues back in Cov mind.

Piglet, not read every page here, but it seems you have had a rethink and opted out of going to Sixfields after seeing the bigger picture.
Well done. It must be hard for you and you 13 year old not to support the team, like all of us.
If we unite against these awful Sisu people we'll force the issue.
And hopefully all be back together at the Ricoh before too long.

People are free to do what they like. However all of us must accept that our actions affect the world around us.

Those that refuse to go (and I include myself in this) must accept that by not going the team will eventually be weakened.

Those that go must accept that they are condoning the move to Northampton. Its no go saying that I don't support it, I just support the team. If you go, you're supporting it.
