This might be the step that helps get everyone back round the table.

Hopefully, at least it shows a bit of intent.

Although the fact that Higgs is probably the only pace in Coventry that can house with them..

By the sounds of the CET article, ccfc are under pressure to keep the academy category 2 status, and Higgs centre has the required 3g pitch.
Seems otium are being forced to negotiate.

Its not funding for Sisu, Its funding for our academy !!!
and where we be without them right now. Lets hope it gets sorted and the wizards in charge of our youngsters keep doing their magic.

I'm sure sisu have realised the higgs is a vital part to the team with over a dozen home grown talent in the current squad. As quoted above, maybe this is the start of SISU hopefully realising they are vastly losing money and need to stop this. Back round the square table with ACL and at the very least its another piece added to the broken puzzle. This is a positive.

I wonder if it is Waggot doing the negotiations instead of Fisher?
Lets hope so at least he seems more grounded, and he actually gives the impression of being a 'football' man who hopefully will see the vital importance of the academy.

The only sensible "move" made by SISU in the past few years - but, it seems, only because the FL have forced them into it.

That's a large junk of pride they've had to swallow though!

Finally they realise that they will lose the millions from the FA ! Seems they don't have the funds to run the club if they have to eat humble pie for a couple of million!

Proof if more proof were needed that indeed NOPM is working! Watch out in a few weeks of miniscule crowds all of a sudden they have always been prepared to talk!

No business can function with no money coming in - and this is the final proof - certainly they are never going to get the funds for a new stadium!

What an about face from the assertion Tim Fisher made at the fans forums in June that the Academy could move to Warwick University. The fans attending the forum said those facilities were not up to FA requirements and lo and behold we were right but Mr Fisher was wrong.

Search for "Sky Blues Fans' Forum - June 10th, 2013 - Part Three" on UTube and listen from 2m 30s (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZomvOfnlfOM) in where Timmy was told the requirements & claimed he had a solution at the Cryfield Centre (in Warwick University). He said 'the facilities at Cryfield (in Warwick University) are knockout compared to the Alan Higgs centre".. well apparently they are not up to the mark, whereas the AHC is.

Mr Fisher & your wrist has been well & truly slapped by the FA!

back at the Higgs

So after Mr Fisher said that the University was the way forward with their world class facilities it seems that they now will have to go back to the Higgs or lose their level 2 category status.
So after ranting and raving at the forums he will have to go back cap in hand.

The Higgs trust should make sure they get all the money they are due and make sure that the rest is paid up front in cash.

Give it another 6 months and Sisu will come out crying we are being charged too much..

Is this the first chink in their Armour ? I hope so :p

I think that they always paid three months up-front for use of the Academy facilities anyway?

Think the only dispute was over some maintenance bills.

Was a bit of a different case from the Ricoh/ACL.

Slightly surprised that the Higgs Centre would talk to SISU after the way they were treated by our owners - but if it means that the academy is safe(r) then that's a good thing. Don't screw this one up Tim we need those players that the academy is going to produce for us now and in the future - agree a deal.
