You have highlighted the "Main Event" however did it slip your mind that the CCLFC has been highly promoted by the Sky Blue Trust? Which I am sure Grendel was highlighting..

We were asked to offer support the ladies which we did as the Football Club would not offer anything to help. CCLFC are members of the Trust.

The same goes to the Supporters Football Club, we gave sponsorship to them.

Get it going then don't just talk I will back you.

It's not about 'slagging everything off' if it's something worthwhile I'm there twice over. Fucking ribbons and a picnic is pathetic.

Ribbons
Picnic

Look at the state of it. Pathetic.
We need a 5k strong march. Everyone outside the ground for the sky game. Crate of beer. Cov songs. Done.

A fucking picnic. Ha ha! Sorry but what the fuck. Picture Leicester fans staging a picnic on a hill and tell me you wouldn't take the piss.

Just have a nice little picnic. What it's for doesn't matter.

I'd suggest:
Sandwiches
Sausage rolls
Hard boiled eggs
Juice

That'll learn Fisher
For someone who finds picnics embarrassing you seem to spend an awful lot of time discussing picnics and seem to have a extensive knowledge of the subject.
But I get the feeling 'picnic' in this context actually means a bit of a demo, with cans of beer and pasties-- but do go on.

It's funny though that you didn't do this when they were playing in Bedworth?

It's not as easy as that though is it. I don't have the means or contacts to arrange it. Others do. And those others are in this thread. So I call out to them. Get as many people in Northampton as possible for the sky game. The rest can and will organise itself.

But will that bring back CCFC to the City NO they have no say whatsoever in that decision only SISU do.
You can give them the Ricoh for no rent but they still don't have to accept it because they need the pie money.

So do you expect a picnic to bring us back then?

TF: Oh my goodness gracious Joy they have the Marmite, we have no choice but to return to the ACL Arena!!!

Of course it means 'a demo' but calling it a picnic is hilarious.

Well it certainly is hilarious to you and Robo-- beyond hilarious in fact into the obsessive.

That's what i'm talking about hill83 is the new Messiah and he will we feed the 5000 with one crate of beer!

With the Messiah being a City fan we can win this battle.

That one is already being dealt with this weekend was just a dry run to see how many may turn up? admittedly calling it a picnic was a big mistake but that just emphasises that it is a peaceful protest and kids should be encouraged.

You can stop that straight away. The crate is for me.

That's all I'm saying really. Picnic, sorry but it is funny. It goes without saying it should be a peaceful protest, and of course kids should be encouraged to go. I agree with the sentiment, but I can't get past it being called a picnic. Anyway, I'll leave it alone now. Bring butter.

You can get Heinz beans pasties and slices now. Still haven't found them, but that's got to be a magical experience.

It's to the point where it isn't even hilarious..

What I can't understand is the logic behind it all? You go to Northampton, with a bag of Haribo's and a few cans of Coke, you sit (or stand, although most picnics your primairaly sitting) there and don't even look towards the ground, then a few people pipe up with "SISU OUT" chants which can only be heard if your sitting next to someone, then you go home..

It's really going to make Joy and Tim take notice and think "We have to move back", if you want to protest KCIC stay at home! It isn't do nothing which some people have the idea of, it's showing full backing of to not going to Sixfields, by going to Sixfields you are giving satisfaction to SISU whether you go inside or not.

I personally dont agree with going to Northants/Sixfields for anything, just boycott it. But I wouldnt criticise a demo there, at least to get some publicity and disrupt any sense of normality there...

I didn't see those in Tesco, so who is up for buying sandwiches from Asda and sitting outside Tesco eating them.
That'll teach them.

I agree, but the whole point of a demo is about what it stands for (1 point there) and the impression it gives off to everyone else. (a picnic -10) Piss takes all round unfortunately.

The only publicity we will get is that our fans like Pork Pies more than Pasties.

Ashdown said earlier in the thread if this was Leeds Fans who had been moved to Sheffield from Elland Road, by Ken Bates or anyone, then the last thing they would do is have a picnic (or a demo as you christened it) outside of the new ground, they'd be marching through their City every weekend, something I think we should be doing!

Everytime there is a home game at Sixfields we march like we did previously and we keep doing it until someone hears the message!

Well said Steve unfortunately most people are happy to do nothing bar come on here and slag off everything that is tried.

If these posters have better ideas let them organise them and I for one will attend if they require help I'm sure this can be arranged for them.

Now lets hold on and wait for the same old replies.......

So people expecting the fans groups to listen to them ,take on feedback and represent them is asking too much? Surely it is the fans groups who should be organising things rather than telling fans "if you don't like it, do it yourself" in as many words.

Why would people be part of groups than represent the fans and then moan when fans give them feedback?

When you say same old replies, they are usually the ones saying "so why dont you do it yourself" or even a copy / paste one from Michael. Steve or Jan usually need to come along with well thought out posts and save the day!

I think we need to bide our time and get planning for the live game against Sheff Utd. Same numbers or more that were at the protest in Cov, proper professional banners and maybe one of those plane banners with SISU OUT buzzing about. That would look great on SKY and above all it needs to be peaceful so people can bring their kids along!

I'm a ST holder at Sixfields but i agree with a few of these posts. if this was leeds or Milwall, This would of stopped months ago and they would be back at Elland Road/The Den.

Look at it another way, say they/we get 200 people on the Hill, the Police will be there, more cost, extra security more cost.
People will ask whats this all about ect, The organisers say this is a tester the real protest will be when Coventry City play Sheffield in front of Sky.
The cost will go through the roof as they cannot afford to have the game delayed or any problems. The whole place will be buzzing with, security, police, the few going in and those on the Hill, Sky and every other media will be either on the hill or in Sixfields.
No one will know what to expect after Sunday, will it be another couple of 100, maybe 35 or could as many as 500 turn up?

It will be organised on Sunday and if more than 50 turn up its a sucess.

On another note they will not fence off the hill, the Police (Nothants and West Mids) say they would rather we we on the hill than down at side of ground.

How is standing on a hill in Northampton with a sarnie and a bottle of pop going to encourage communication between ACL and SISU/Otium?

It'll achieve nothing.

The Trust should be protesting to ALL parties involved in this sorry situation. Your blinkered approach has alienated you from SISU/Otium when the Trust should be doing all they can to encourage talks. Why do you think a protest against the ACL/FL/CCC would be pointless??

By being in the Stadium it's a statement we've not given up on our Football club. I've not sat back and given up.

Nothing wrong with it at all. To me it seems a little one sided and tbh a bit pointless.

But you're only protesting against SISU/Otium. A one sided Trust is no good to anyone.

Sits back and awaits the Fishface rentboy/Shitzu lover comments. All so predictable :D

Are you fucking retarded? Which bit of "this is not a trust event" is causing you problems?

Will you be protesting/waving banners inside? Or are you happy with the status quo?

Just curious as to the position of those ping.

A total hypocrite if you ask me. He wants the club back in Coventry but he wants to sit on his backside at sixfields and let everyone else do the donkey work. His patronising of us boycotters is starting to grate me, was it really necessary to say he is a season ticket holder? Like who gives a fuck, whoppee do.

The fact the newsletter was sent to all trust members shows it sort of is ;)

Except it isn't. At all. There is a board member of the Trust in this thread confirming as much. (In the fucking post he quoted!)

Or are you now accusing him of lying?

I agree with Eastern Green for once.

Our fans are too lazy and too soft to do anything.
