I agree with Eastern Green for once.

Our fans are too lazy and too soft to do anything.

And prove so by buying a season ticket.

Except it isn't. At all. There is a board member of the Trust in this thread confirming as much. (In the fucking post he quoted!)

Or are you now accusing him of lying?

I haven't signed up to a NOPM or KCIC newsletter but I keep receiving them, I am a trust member though....

So how did they get my email address if it isn't being sent to trust members?

It's funny though that you didn't do this when they were playing in Bedworth?

If they asked for help we would do what we can to push the game where ever it was, just we are trying to promote the Leamington game this weekend.
I have no issue with the Ricoh, I want the City to play there but its the biggest and best venue in are so why not promote anything there if it helps Coventry and the community

The main event at the Ricoh was for the former players association this was laid on for free by the Ricoh and as all catering money goes to compass the money made by ACL was minimal possibly some from Parking?

So next time lets not support our former players even though they are supporting us and not attending at sixfields.

Yes Grendel another excellent idea from yourself so what do we do in between as these games are very rare?????:thinking about:

Compass get 23% of the F&B'S, ACL get 77% so they would have got a nice little income from 6k crowd.

Lets just see what comes of the picnic - it may act as a precursor to organising something more significant for the Sheff Utd sky game.

Look at it another way, say they/we get 200 people on the Hill, the Police will be there, more cost, extra security more cost.
People will ask whats this all about ect, The organisers say this is a tester the real protest will be when Coventry City play Sheffield in front of Sky.
The cost will go through the roof as they cannot afford to have the game delayed or any problems. The whole place will be buzzing with, security, police, the few going in and those on the Hill, Sky and every other media will be either on the hill or in Sixfields.
No one will know what to expect after Sunday, will it be another couple of 100, maybe 35 or could as many as 500 turn up?

It will be organised on Sunday and if more than 50 turn up its a sucess.

On another note they will not fence off the hill, the Police (Nothants and West Mids) say they would rather we we on the hill than down at side of ground.

So we're encourage people to go for a picnic on the hill, with their kids as a family peaceful protest, in the hope of lots of police and security having to turn up so that the club incur costs or delay the game? I'm not sure my 6 year old would be happy being on a hill 'buzzing' with security and the police.

Trust members were sent an email saying if they didn't want to receive kcic emails they could opt out and some people did so. A grand total of 2 kcic emails have been sent and both have contained clear information on how to unsubscribe. With both emails some people did unsubscribe although other people have asked to be added so overall total continues to grow. As a personal favour to you Nick, if you email me at [email protected] I will personally unsubscribe you. Unless of course you want to stay on the list!

It did.

Admittedly I'd have ticked the box asking for my details not to be shared by the Trust had I known I'd have to opt out rather than in for such mails ;)

After all, better to get the full bickering experience on here.

I don't think I got that mail but my point was that it is trust related as its using their mailing list...

Mailchimp will let me unsubscribe but my point was just about using the trust list

Just a thought;

I wonder of the 1926 General Strike would have achieved greater success if it had been a General Picnic instead?

To be fair, NOPM/KCIC AFAIK is a split from the Trust, so it's a bit like a final trust communication asking if you still want the other communications (please correct me if I'm wrong). It's not the Trust adding something as such, rather asking if you want a bit taken away.

Do not give a shit what people call it, if the main aim is to get the Club back to Coventry then on Sunday I am on the fecking hill.

See you Sunday.

“First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—
and there was no one left to speak out for me.”
― Martin Niemöller

The point is if you disagree with something speak out, protest. Every little helps, it can take time for things to gather momentum.

Do not be put off by people on here who have plenty to say, are quick to knock back other people's ideas, yet offer no ideas or solutions themselves.

For instance the Jarrow March at the time was a complete failure as the intent was to speak with The Government who refused, and the only option was to walk back home. Yet history shows it was a success because it woke the conscience of a nation.

Abusing people coming out of the game??

Give it up. You're fast becoming a disgrace.

These people want the club back in Cov. Obviously as you are so against everything they do, you do not, I assume?
