First impression is that i am disappointed by the article, but it is what it is and i am not sure really what I expected from it. Just to be clear thats not a comment on Reid
It is hard to see a way forward for CCFC at the Ricoh especially when the headline is we will come back but only as owners.
Please explain to me why ownership of the Ricoh is absolutely essential to the club - thats the club not the owners
So what is the point of all this PR if Plan A is to build a new stadium...... that seems like a definite plan, a choice made, get on and do it
Buying the freehold will give no income to the club, unless they get rid of ACL....... is the clue in the statement the freeholder has the right of entry if ACL went bust
So ACL & the SB Trust have their answer there is no rental deal, even on a temporary basis, to be done.
I assume full control means all incomes not just the football incomes
So the new stadium will be far enough away that it cant be affected by CCC....... does that mean Brandon is a non starter because aside from the residents likely objections the council will have influence over access
So new stadium say £20m..... 60% borrowed say £12m at 3% over 10 years = repayments £1.39m per year. Where is the 40% cash coming from ? more money from investors? isnt that in effect borrowing the full amount?or sale of associated land interests on the site?
Does the ACL lease get assigned if someone buys ACL? Would the council sell its shares in ACL then refuse to recognise the new owners in terms of the lease?
The Council might owe CCFC Ltd 400k but the rent is owed to ACL and you cannot net the two off. Any collection of the £400k is used to pay the administrator and then split between all the creditors including ARVO, SBS&L etc not just ACL
I agree with her comments regarding the current squad, Pressley and the current day to day running of the business
From the article i take it that Plan A is the new stadium build, that SISU have no intention of coming back unless the council sell them the freehold (i do not see that happening I just do not think it is for sale to anyone), the lady is not for turning, ACL only interested in a rent deal and thats been dismissed, I dont see the Charity or Council selling their ACL stakes to Joy and if all that is so i dont see the point of continued PR, discussion, etc. SISU/Otium/CCFC had better get on with Plan A sooner rather than later.
I am not at all encouraged by that article
