Hopefully it wont happen again, but in fairness considering the strong emotions involved its a credit to us that nothing hasn't happened before.
Ive seen city fans fight each other before anyway. There's always been the odd mouthy git in the crowd that someone takes exception to.

This may well mean the end of fans being allowed to go on the hill matchdays. Police will not tolerate this kind of things, especially if sky are going to be there. This was all but inevitable the longer the saga is dragged out

Why didn't the responsible protesters on the hill tell the six or so troublemakers that they were not welcome or at least tell them not to abuse other fans?
Fair question. I've never been fair weather, anyone who knows me would vouch for that. Just felt so deflated today, even before the game kicked off. What is the point? Sitting there every other week at what feels like a glorified pre-season game, and getting abused for it to.
Having to listen to Brentford fans sing "we've filled your ground for you" just summed up this whole shit-fest. Just fed up of it all. I suppose I can join the ranks of those sitting at home and I may at some point choose to adopt that air of smug superiority (but I hope not). Will it make me feel better or make any difference to what happens? No. It's just a mess, and it is not going to end anytime soon. Then I had to listen to all that crap coming out which made the journey home even more depressing.
So that's it. I concede defeat.

just sends it home what a big shit sandwich we are all in, regardless of who you believe is the most responsible there are no winners.
What a mess, how low can we go. SISU have created this because of their shitty rent strike and subsequent actions, especially the divisive words of Tim Fisher. Others are partly culpable we know but Seppalla and her hedge fund have trashed the football club and stand offs like today will just drive even more people away from the club altogether, a generation will be lost and the older folk will never come back.

Even if it was just handbags today, it doesn't matter, it was symbolic. The mere fact that there was a confrontation and one set of supporters were being openly abused by another underlines just how serious this has become. It is a travesty.

Does it sound like they are the type of people you don your hat to then cordially ask to remove themselves from the hill that is not your property.
It would be interesting if someone with a few bob took charge at Coventry RFC. For a much smaller investment than in football, an ambitious owner could get the club into the RFU Premiership.
Average attendances in the that league are about 12k and local matches against Leicester or Northampton could attract over 20k. The Butts wouldn't be large enough, but there is a stadium available not far away......
Apparently two guys have invested a £1 million each. At that level it's a fortune, if it's true of course. There is a different feel about the club this year on and off the pitch though and I'm pretty sure that a good few hundred CCFC fans are throwing their weight behind their local team !!

Exactly, I wonder if the police or club will do anything about the hill? As much as I think it is pointless I wouldn't want a couple of tools to ruin it for the sensible people.
It does put the hill in bad light, maybe somebody could have told them to shut up.
Nearly 1500 there yesterday I see, which is good.
Good for them. I've been critical of the way that club has been run over the years, but they seem to be turning things around. If they can ever make it back to the top flight, then they will have to redevelop BP, and that will be good for the city as a whole.

How can the people on the hill criticise those going to Northampton when they travel up every week to watch the game for free from the hill, They are against Coventry playing out of Coventry but are happy to watch the game from the hill in Northampton.
If you couldn't get a view of the pitch from the hill I wonder how many would still go up to the hill.

Sorry to hear how you feel. I know we don't normally agree on a lot, but everyone should be free to do what they want and how they feel. All it takes is a few idiots to make trouble. In all my years of following our club it has only happened twice to me with our own fans. And both were thoroughly deserved. I just hope this doesn't cause a bigger rift with our fans. It is all so wrong. And the worse of it is that there is no end in sight.
How about away games? I love them. If you fancy a good rant we could try and do a SBT day out....not the trust though
If I am not working I would be there. I travel to Coventry and then to where we are playing most of the time, even if I drive past where we are playing on the way. We should be able to fill our own coach easily. Would be nice to put faces to names. We would certainly have enough to talk about all day.And for those that have met me in the past, don't be shocked when you see me next time. Have lost a couple of stone through it being so hot at work this summer. Down to about 15st now which is about right for my height. This meant I couldn't be one of them fat b@stards on the hill
So how does everyone feel about getting together for a game?

The rift is deepening I think. Before the game today I overheard a couple of people (two women) who were abused in the pub at PV last week because they mentioned they were season ticket holders. That ain't right.
I'm always up for a drink, but if our beer-sozzled debate from the other night is anything to go by, it would be a long day
