wasn't that childish on your part?

Do you know exactly what when on and who started it?

i don't know and i dont care, my point was that all sides are becoming childish, and writing a childish story attacking other cov fans for attending a Cov match is out of order

The only time I reacted was the first game and that was well documented I go now and stand there the view of the cinema is quitw boring after a time so I just talk to the other people on the hill. I think it was a blip as you put it but your'e also right that verbal responses are natural also drink doesn't help

Fair enough. I'm not one of those who feels any animosity towards those that choose to protest in that way. I quite admire people who travel all that way to stand in all weathers that far from the action (which you can't see for the most part). Takes a lot of dedication does that.

The Ricoh/Casino has sky sports on,are they allowed to put CWR on through their speakers.we could all go and listen to it there

The casino being an innocent victim in all this, it would be a nice gesture.

I listened to the game today via SBP and also Keiran's written coms. He put up a vid of the players running out. Why can't he video the whole game?

Some of the language ain't going to help.

Has-been radio broadcasters, second rate Journalists at tin pot newspapers, fanzines with nearly as many supporters as were in the cow shed behind the goal today - all SISU puppets helping to keep Coventry OUT of Coventry. SHAME ON THE LOT OF YOU!

For the love of God, if anybody wants hope of getting sizeable numbers to protests in the future, think before you post boys and girls! Accusations, recriminations, feuds, mountains out of molehills... not going to help anybody!

15 pages on this one topic and nobody comes up with the real answer of how to stop violence at football match's.

Ban Alcohol from inside stadia , don't let anybody in who has had a drink, close all pubs within a 5 mile radius of the ground.

Wouldn't be popular but would probably work.

Sit's back and awaits the derision.

What! are you on the right thread. This has absolutely nothing to do with the consumption or indeed the non-consumption of alcohol but all to do with the attitude of some Cov. supporters with others of the same ilk: and it all down to the actions of our "fir and proper", owners

Am I the only person on this forum who wouldn't cry and/or punch someone if they called me a name - scab, for instance?

Seriously people. Ridiculous.

If you were on the hill you must be lying as they are all hooligans and not true fans there to watch for free and mud sling.
Those going in the ground are all gentle people who would not say boo to a goose and are only there because they are the only True Fans!!!
Stop talking like a pratt, there are good fans inside the ground and good fans on the hill. i have been on the hill because it was my choice, why dont you think about it. if people go into the ground its their own choice .or does it upset you.
By the way i am not a hooligan. I bet you are one of these who do neither.

Far too much nonsense going on and being posted. Lots of very interesting posts and opinions but of course we do have to suffer those who IMHO have an obsession regarding our Owners ( and no, I'm not trying to defend then). Not enough questions have been asked of "Coventry City Council (and the 54 Councillors who voted to 'bail-out' ACL!) WHY? I understand that some people have problems about getting to Northampton and maybe some who can't afford either time, money or hassle involved. I also appreciate how difficult and upsetting it must be for the fans of tomorrow (those youngsters who either play on Sunday or don't have anyone to accompany them.
Good post RFC, although i will never set foot in Sixfields, you at least do what you think is best, well done for admitting it.
Personally for myself it's a pain in the 'back-side' but following much heart searching decided to renew my season ticket and was so impressed with the first game, a 5-4 win, purchased another season ticket the following Monday (so either of my sons could attend). They've been to 3 games and have enjoyed more than the majority at the Ricoh!

In fact after the Preston game they both said they'd enjoyed the atmosphere and style of play more than any other game since our last at Highfield Road against Derby.

For the RECORD ...........

I DON'T SUPPORT AND HAVE PROBABLY NEVER LIKED ANY OF OUR Owners, any COUNCIL, STADIA or STADIA OPPERATORS!

I support the Team & Manager and will hopefully do so for many years to come, where ever they play (but hopefully in Coventry in the not to distant future) in a Stadium owned either by the Club or their Owners that has access to ALL REVENUE STREAMS, FIFA Fair Play Rules based on total "Gross Incomes" and not as many posters on here seem to think' profits!

Uwe had done his homework today and following the first quarter of an hour or so when we played like Brazil they more than nullified us and certainly out muscled us but hey-ho onwards and upwards PUSB!

I was taking the piss actually have only missed 1 game on the hill today couldn't make it due to other plans i went to the last one left at half time then did a 12 hour shift will be doing the same for the Sheffield game as I will not take time off to go to Northampton I have however booked off next Saturday to go to Stevenage.

I have called people things on here but have never called anyone a scab for going to the match but have had abuse hurled at me I am big enough and old enough not to take it to heart shame others aren't.

Nick As for drawing pictures of muppets what is your point and do people actually care.. Childish things happening on both sides a bit like our Owners and ACL and they are supposed to be the intellectual ones I for one can never be accused of that in that and do not pretend to be so unlike others on here I am happy to be a working class roots and with all the trimmings that come with it.

Not surprised. A group of people yelling 'scabs' as people left the ground. Could sense it might happen.

I cannot be arsed anymore with all this shit.

I heard it was some super fans leaving early when the second goal went in who started slagging those on Jimmy's Hill - and then a small group of them reacted. All hand bags and drink but a very sad day for CCFC nonetheless.

I remember the Sheffield Wednesday Quarter final match when Cov fans in the bottom Right hand Corner started fighting one another because they were pushed in the crush so really nothing new.
They have fought over managers players and all sorts for the last 40 years that I have been going so it was always a matter of time nothing new at Cov or any other football club..

I wanted to reply to this because what you say in theory could work but is impractical tbh.

What must be done is what needs to be done across the country. make people responsible for their actions and if they are not face serious consequences and fines (including a night in the drunk tank) Punishing everyone for the mindless few is wrong.
If you need an ambulance to attend you for being so out of it that you have only yourself to blame for then the NHS should bill you and the police fine you for wasting their time and the drunk tank overnight cost you as well. You could face hundreds of pounds for failing to take responsibility for your actions. That would stop it in it's tracks.

Instead we continue to fine drivers for minor offending, dock 3 points and the punishment never fits the crime as it is too excessive while we keep letting drunken idiots get away with it and costing us the taxpayer loads of money to sort it and the idiots out.

rant over :)

This has been a lengthy thread and deservedly so. It breaks down when people try and figure out who was responsible. The truth is there has been snipping on both sides.

The positive on here is for once there has been an acceptance that we are in this altogether and sensible discussion has taken place. We just have different views about how to lodge our protest. The fact is people have the right to attend, stand on the hill or indeed stay at home. They are individual decisions made for all sorts of reasons.

We are still all fans of Coventry City FC. So while this situation is still forced upon us can we sign up to the following. Pre and post match at Sixfields fans, attending either the hill or the ground sing together.

Sky Blue Army or Let's All Sing Together.

Just by using the phrase "super fans" shows the contempt you hold for others.

I heard it was some super fans leaving early when the second goal went in who started slagging those on Jimmy's Hill - and then a small group of them reacted. All hand bags and drink but a very sad day for CCFC nonetheless.

people should "if they want to return home", boycott, it would end this, sisu would cave in , SIMPLES !. And just a quick note people who have been attending sickfields, said " we're playing well because there's no boo boys", i knew that was rubbish, and that was comfirmed yesterday , in the first half , Adam Barton had the ball, and all you could hear were howls and groans, and this was still in the first half. I think yesterday was a water shed for sickfields, and a few attendees have pulled their heads out of the sand. NOPM.
