KCIC update. (4 Viewers)

Trouble is small disjointed protests scattered everywhere would be pointless as it would have no impact

Exactly what I've been trying to say, it seems kcic is really just stand on a hill or outside offices. If you suggest anything else then you are told to do it yourself.

Unfortunately I agree with both of you.

It's disappointing there isn't a main planned protest.

What use is a load of people watching the game on a big screen somewhere?

Get as many on the Hill as you can, let those who go inside to all walk out at a set time and be united in showing Sky and everyone that the people of Coventry are agaoinst this stupd situation.

An empty stadium on Sky would get International coverage.

I may well be on my own but for one very last time I will be on that bloody hill at 4pm on Sunday 13th October. Will not go near Northampton again after that (unless Coventry Rugby Club play at Northampton)

I'm definately upbeat this week about the prospect of ccfc being back at the Ricoh !!!
Sisu are obviously starting to crumble !!!
As long as we keep pressure on by not going inside sixfields !!!
Who in their right mind would build or get given funding for a stadium based on revenue 1500 season ticket holders will provide ?????????
See you at Stevenage pusb !!!!

It is about as much use as somebody stood on a hill and everybody could be united. Would people from the ground really come out and stand in the hill with the aggression shown in the past and the big flag saying if you go in you aren't a true fan etc.

it's got more chance, than if the normal 1500 are there.

It 'may' get National coverage, although that's debatable, but International???

The only thing that'll get any kind of coverage is a single approach. And I know, it's easier said than done following last weekends embarrassment.

You really are simple aren't you

International coverage?

Why do you laugh, if a stadium was full and then everyone walked out it would be all over the internet. I do not think its such a silly idea.
That Hill will get so much publicity against Sheffield.

What do you class as media big time?

Well Sky will probably have a film crew on the Hill so that means other TV companies who cannot get into the ground will be there, I imagine the Police will be in numbers which brings other types of press.
Like it has been suggested, if there was a mass walk out to an empty stadium it would be all over the Internet and thats means media coverage big time.

I totally agree, to go from a full ground to the hardcore 400 then it would get media attention and would be good.

As it stands, has that been arranged?

The problem with the mass stadium exit is that 1500 ccfc fans would still be sitting in there after we had left. Also that's more likely to cause more of a row than just a few words on the hill last Sunday.

No idea Nick
I did see a few posts some time ago where some of the fans who do go to Sixfields would support such an idea but there will always be a few who will not follow the majority.
Can you imagine the stadium being emptied in front of the Sky Camaras and everyone going up to the hill to watch the last 15 mins?
It would unite all the fans and show we have differernt views but agree that we should NOT be playing in Northampton.

Just my view and what ever is said on here seems to divide support even more.

It needs people to stop dick waving over who has the best idea and, just for once, for one game only, accept a compromise (as long as the message is a positive assertion that we're supposed to be somewhere else!) and go along with what's decided. If after the event it's not what we hoped for then we'll know not to put trust in those organising it again, but we've got a rare chance to make a statement, and that means having a little faith in ourselves.

But no, it seems we'd rather prove our idea to be best, argue about it repeatedly, and rather have 50 go ahead with it regardless than join up together.

Pathetic, we should all be ashamed.

Why do you think that?
Even if a few 100 walked out to join those on the hill it would make a scene?
Those on the Hill are generally decent people as are those who go into the ground, what happend on Sunday was not the normal, I know because I go every week.

I can imagine it and it would be amazing but would the people on the hill go in to make it look good? Would the trust and kcic promote it?

It was just a couple too, the only reason it's blown up is we all have access to the internet now to voice an opinion.

I am not ashamed, I will be going to the Hill and hope that those who do wish to go in and watch the Sky game all walk out and make a massive media statement on that day. If they dont, then fine.

Not sure any one group should promote anything its got to be a personal view.

Nick, you could do this, you could organise it?
You have a way of getting a message through to many many people.

That's the thing though, you will be standing on the hill but want people inside to walk out?

So why should I promote it if kcic and the trust shouldn't be? If I sent an email to all members saying protest at the council people would have break downs so no matter what my personal view is why is it different to organise a mass walkout?

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to send mailshots if it was something like the march

There is zero chance of the pack the stadium and leave protest working, you are relying on thousands of people to believe it will work, to spend hours of their time, to give some money to people whom they don't think should be given any money and then after thats happened they have to leave the game they are quite possibly enjoying in the hope that everyone else will too.

More likely is you'll get a few hundred people to turn up extra, they will realise that them leaving will only lower population in the stadium by 25% or so, so they will stay and watch the game, in the meantime having giving money to sisu.

I agree that packing the stadium and everyone leaving would look awesome but it won't happen and by trying and failing you do harm rather than good.

Have a protest that works weather you get 50 people or 5000. Doing that increases the chance of getting more people and makes sure you make your point even if you dont.

If the Trust or kcic got involved it would be seen as an organised group thing, all you need to do is promote it to people as individuals, what ever is said there will always be a few who do not agree. I thought the March was a great day and made me feel proud as it was a show of a united City. You have the ability to do something a lot of us cannot do as individuals.
Its not a protest, its not anti anyone its just supporters of a mixed up club showing we all want to come home.

All that is needed is a few on hill, few in ground, one agreed time or certain sound and everyone leaves, a few pats on the back as they walk up the hill and watch rest of game (and yoiu can see all the pitch from differernt parts of the hill) from hill.

A united show of support, Sky will film every bit of it as will others, can you imagine an empty stadium?

I know this has all been said before, but at least we can say we tried!!!!!

Most do nothing but leave it to others.

Contact the other groups, see if they will help?

As it stands at the minute i will not even go to sixfields to stand inside or outside. I'm still to be convinced about any sort of action at the Sheff utd game !!!
However i will be at Stevenage Saturday.

Correct. We, collectively, as a set of fans, have been worse than useless.

Here is the first thread of many regarding this game...

http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/35161-Live-Sky-Game-vs-Sheffield-UTD?highlight=mass+exodus

..way back in early august.....full of great ideas (including the best one...cough cough ;)) yet here we are with the game nearly upon us, no leadership whatsoever from the organisations we hoped would provide it...and more divided than ever.

A massive missed opportunity.

Shame.

It appears KCiC is no more...

To avoid confusion, this page is being closed down. Please join the Not One Penny More page if you haven't already. This page was set up in readiness for new people taking over the KCIC campaign as Michael had planned to step down as organiser. Thankfully he has changed his mind and will continue to lead from the front and we fully support him in this. We are sure you will agree he is proving to b...e a real thorn in the side of SISU. We apologise unreservedly to Nigel Eccles and anyone else who has been offended by anything posted by this page. When a page gets hacked you know something is seriously wrong. Thank you for all your support and keep up the efforts to bring Coventry City home to the Ricoh. See you on the Hill on 13 October for the protest against the Football League.

What's wrong with seeing it as an organised group thing? Isn't that what the group's are for to organise things like this?
So why is it ok for groups to email.and promote things like the legends day or protests in London or standing on the hill?

Firstly there are quite a few plans that have been made for the Sheff United game.people have given their Ideas and some of them will be happening. Sorry but cannot post them on here,
they are all peaceful! but should be fun.

As for trying to find a venue there is the CCFC supporters club on freehold street has a big bar and an even bigger room upstairs has a large garden and Sky TV. maybe an apt place to have it I know they are struggling to stay open since the move....
