In all fairness, the store at the Ricoh was also called a "Superstore"... Was very small for a superstore

The Sky Blues are moving into a store on the Gallagher Retail Park which will also provide space for community events...
Coventry City Football Club are set to open a new superstore in the city.
The Sky Blues are moving into a store on the Gallagher Retail Park, which will give the supporters the opportunity to buy merchandise, tickets and memberships.
It will also provide a community space for events such as player autograph signings with fans.
The lease on the 5,000 sq ft unit has now been agreed and the club will move in as soon as fit-out work has been completed over the next few weeks. The temporary retail outlet at Arena Park Tesco will close on October 5 in advance of the new superstore opening.
Supporters can still purchase merchandise online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk or by emailing [email protected]. The club also has a telephone ticketing ordering service on 024 7699 2326.
Karen Bennett, head of retail at Coventry City Football Club, said: “We are looking forward to opening at what is a major retail centre in the city.
“It’s a great location with excellent footfall and will offer a full range of merchandise and will hopefully become a hub for supporters. We are planning to hold player signing sessions to help launch the new superstore.

to be honest there are several stores at gallagher that have gone under in the last year or so. JJB, Comet, the one in between pound stretcher and maplins (can't remember the name).
instore as somebody mentioned above ^ ......... in between maplins and pound stretcher would be just where you want to be

How embarrassing ! A retail outlet in Coventry as the team plays in Northampton. What do they think they are going to sell? and to who? Surely no-one, not even the 'Sixfields' 1500 would want to buy that ridiculous new home shirt? It's another pile of SISU shite, playing at running a football club but in reality just playing for time.

Not really I would have said a sensible location was somewhere like the city centre. Sure they used to have a shop there.
Whatever happened to the plan to sell tickets all over the city using the pay points, that was a great idea but never seem to be mentioned after the first time they came out with it.

A city centre location.... yes they had a shop there but it was never hardly used. City Centre rates are astronomically high if you believe local traders with premises in the City Centre (no reason to not believe them) and have you been through the City Centre lately? The majority of it is empty with nobody going there. Out of town Shopping sites on the other hand are generally pretty busy.

I can't fathom the logic of some people.
Close the original outlet and move to Tesco Stall- hysteria.

I want SISU to fail at all costs, I want them to fail so badly they have to accept a disaster of an investment and sell at an acceptable price to an owner whose priority is to reunite the club with the City. I'm pretty sure that is what 95% of City fans want, except the small minority of course who think that everyone should cave in to their demands and that once they have the Arena in their grubby hands we'll all live happily ever after.

So, what is it you do want. Realistically. Not just a "SISU gone and someone else come in" by-the-numbers answer, as that is pretty unlikely.
