Nice gesture I think, I know it sounds harsh as most charities are a good cause but I would much prefer they are helping premature babies.

OH NO - one or two on here are not going to be happy with this...SISU allowing a Charity free publicity - BASTARDS!! Fair play to them I say, they seem to doing something right...good management team being built, great kids coming through, decent signings...apart from dragging us from our City, what have they done for us!!

I think it's a great idea, not sure why on earth CBRE wanted to sponsor us, but makes far more sense for the shirt to advertise something relevant to your average City fan.

Is this going to change every now and then or what? What sponsor will the replica kits, and more importantly FIFA on PS3, have?

What a weird sentiment. Now I want do know Nicks list of worthy charities. I take it an OAP is worth less than a premature baby, but how do we rank people of the same age?

I would say a premature baby is more worthy than drug addicts, alcoholics for example.

What about a premature crack baby vs a man who was kidnapped and force fed alcohol until he was addicted?

Only playing, but you shouldn't try and rank worthy causes IMO all kindness is good.

Oh no I agree, the people devoting their time for free to try and help others is great whatever the reason whether it is self induced or not. I guess having a premature baby myself I know first hand what it is like so can relate, whereas I have never been addicted to class A.

I think we all see things though our own lens don't we? I work with kids every day with troubles you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy and I know there's a massive tale behind every so called "bad choice". Whereas I've never (touch wood, just found out missus is preggers again) had a premature baby so see it as a fairly normal medial "thing".

What a lovely thread this is.

And you feel the need to hurl abuse because ?????

Because, yet again, you try your hardest to drag some good positive news down with stupid comments. There was no need for you to suggest that SISU would take anything from a charity and although I realise (well, hope) you said it in jest, you're still a big dome.

MY lad has FIFA14 on the PS3. It has the new kit but not a sponsor.

What exactly is your stance on everything Edgy. A couple of years back before all this ballooned out of control you used to often agree with me on concerns about SISU and the way they were operating, especially squad wise??

Any charity work is to be applauded !!
I myself give money and time to help just like many others do !!!

But at the end of the day Im not as gullible as you to believe Sisu have got anyones other than their own intentions at heart !!!!!

It may well be a PR stunt to make them look nice and friendly, but if a charity benefit out of it I don't mind.

Sorry, am I missing something? What have SISU got to do with this? I thought CBRE were our sponsor and they chose the charity.

The concerns are all still valid Ashdown. However the putting of blame for all our ills at SISU’s door, doesn’t sit right with me. Anyone who has had their fingers in deserves to be held accountable and that just isn’t happening. I suppose I was naïve to think we could keep offering our better players bigger contract every couple of years. I didn’t take into account our crippling rent.

So when someone comes along spouting SISU this & SISU that, I take issue. I’m not a SISU fan, haven’t been for many years now. Just because I want CCC/ACL criticised doesn’t make me one either.

I would like new owners and a fresh start. NOPM will not make this happen. All NOPM will achieve is an even weaker playing squad than we were already expecting and/or the final death of the club. Some people openly would prefer this to SISU owning us – to be they are crazy. How can you rather not have a football club you’ve supported for decades?

Regardless of owners, I want my club to own it’s stadium. Ultimately if that means somewhere other than the Ricoh, I’m happy with that providing it is, as they say, in the Coventry area. I also of the belief that once the club & a/the stadium are paired then we will be in the hands of someone new within months.

This statement is another example why we won't achieve fcuk all on this Forum.

I am sorry Nick, don't mean to pick out your post in particular but it's another shining example of the division we have within our ranks.

I was only posting as it has followed on from the original spit sponsorship that the club will carry on after the shirt stuff.

Not sure on CBRE being our sponsor, however they are helping us with our "relocation" apparently.

EA could theoretically patch any sponsor in. Although they'd make you pay £40 and call it FIFA 15, amirite gang?

I like how this thread proves a fight can start from pretty much anything here. EVEN SICK KIDS.

But SISU have already said that they will be funding us whilst we're at Sixfields whether we go or not and the new stadium is built. So if they are true to their word (stop sniggering) there shouldn't be any effect on the playing staff.

No. "Funding" us doesn't mean keeping everything as it is. If the fans aren't coming through the doors then further spending cuts are inevitable. Playing staff being the likely priority.

"Funding" us will just be the bare minimum for us to continue fulfilling fixtures.

Maybe someone from SISU/CCFC/Otium would like to clarify that as it's obviously not clear.

I like to put things into perspective yes
the council / higgs charity in the form of Acl charged us 1.3million a year for playing at a better than average stadium.

Otium who have owned us two minutes have debts of 10million of which 2 million is fees and interest. My question is what did we get for this two million ?

Its only a matter of time when funding will only be a fraction of other league 1 clubs with no sponsor, advertising revenue and poor attendances alongside FFP. Imagine our playing budget if we stay at Sixfields into next season!

With injuries only just starting, very little backup and a cut up pitch we will do well to get into the top half and to avoid relegation - SISU and ACL must get together as soon as the Judicial Review 'We have moved on' nonsense is sorted.

Back to the Ricoh on cheap rent sounds like a compromise! Someone needs to back down though.

Fair play of you to put out your viewpoint. I agree that other interested parties are not completely blameless but have to take issue with the 'crippling rent' as successive accounts have shown that the rent has only ever amounted to 1/7th of total losses and therefore the club was being run criminally insolvently anyway. The rent was indeed too high though, we agree on that, it had to be reduced dramatically but what about all these astronomical administration charges and debt interest payments as well? To me SISU have made a total hash of it all on the face of it and finally sought other parties to blame..............it seems 85% of the fan base see this and will not now succumb to their bullshit with their own hard earned cash !!
