Hi mates,

my name's Francesco and I'm a Coventry City fan from Italy. I'm 30 years old and I follow this team about from a bit more of 10 years. I love all the british football, but the two teams I prefer are Arsenal and, of course, Coventry City.

I usually attend forums in my country, so I'm the admin of a famous italian forum about football in britain. But the provider is different, so I hope to learn quick the using conditions of this provider.

My passion for CCFC begans about in 1996 with a Subbuteo miniature (the miniature with the Talbot jersey), I continue to follow the team with scores and reading on internet but this year I opened a blog about CCFC in italian language (I don't know if I can put on the forum my blog's link).

I hope to meet a lot of CCFC fans, to share my passion with them.

Welcome, Frap. My Great Grandparents and my grandmother were from Naples. Always had an afinity with Italy. I've owned Vespas, Lambrettas and still have two Fiats!

Yes, it's true. The Delle Alpi was orrible and very cold in winter, the Juventus Stadium is better. But is not a stadium like "english model", because the stands are very high from the pitch, and italian supporters are "animals".
But I think the first time that CCFC played a match in the Juventus Stadium, I'll there (I hope they can organize a friendly match)...

So you're a bit italian :claping hands: I come from Turin, where you can find a lot of british football italian fan.

What Fiat did you have, if I can ask? Now I'm working with BMW/Mini workers from Oxford, but in the past I worked for Fiat.

Yes i remember the juve fans dislike ofthe delle alpi and the remains of the old ground were recycled for the new one?

My wife lived in Florence in the 90s and went to a few fiorentina games. She said the fans were crazy and she used to get scared lol.

True, I've had a few of both over the years. Mainly Vespas. I like Vespas for their reliability and Lambrettas for their looks.

yes, the new stadium is on the old site; there's a thing that not much people knows, is that the border between turin and another town (venaria reale) walkings in the middle of the stadium. so a part of the stadium is in a town, and the other part is in another...

Blimey i never knew that. At least there's a good atmosphere at the new ground, I remember hearing the police dogs barking at the old ground,they were often louder than the fans!!

Frapalin , Italian football supporters are very passionate , I have read two good books on the violence that surrounds it, one of them about fans that followed Hellas Verona.
On the flip side I also read about the miracle of Castel del Sangro, (or something like that as it was a long time ago) ,and it was about the rise of a very small town team in Italy and its rise to serie B.Another good read

I had a great holiday by Lake Garda a few years back. Other than that, I don't ride hairdryers, can't stand pizzas and not a lover of pasta, but I enjoyed "Captain Corelli's Mandolin". Apart from that, welcome aboard! :welcome:

I love pasta and pizza - without cheese though. As for Italian football. It's boring. Much prefer German footy.
