Short term yes it's possible, but not long term, every club in the country is trying to maximise it's revenue and taking the most extreme measures in Hull's case.
Buying the freehold is pointless less then? Unless they've got an ulterior motive?

Every owner of a Football Club wants a successful club, that's the only way of being able to make a return on investment the owners put in, SISU are no different. Everyone wants the additional revenue it's the only way clubs can compete.

Well comparing it to say Cardiff and Hull I don't think SISU's measures are that extreme or maybe some people would like the club to be rebranded to "Coventry Cats" or to have our club identity changed by foreign owners. Yet groundsharing is worse?

I can see Robo's point - the club moved to Northampton as means of breaking an unfair rental agreement made by the previous owners. It wasn't or isn't a SISU vanity project, unlike the re-branding of either Hull or Cardiff.

I blame SISU/JS etc (almost) entirely for the off-field mess that we are in.
I blame them 100% for the fact that we play the vast majority of our home games on a Sunday afternoon 35 miles away
I would struggle to believe a single word that comes out of Fisher's mouth.
I think we all know that there isn't and never has been any realistic possibility of a new stadium
I don't think that SISU / Arvo / Otium care two hoots about the club
BUT if they are able to do a deal on the Ricoh and ACL it HAS to be be good for the club. Yes the "club" ie CCFC wouldn't own the ground but as many have pointed out it would be counter-productive to charge a high rent that would impact upon another of their assets and yes they could sell on the ground to another speculator but why would they do so without proper protections in place for the asset they would retain
In short as with (I think) most supporters I wish we had never heard the word SISU and I wish they would all (particularly "Smuggins" Fisher) get lost but any deal would be better than god knows how many years of groundsharing and, possibly, an ultimate total loss of identity or extinction

The admin process broke the agreement but didn't improve SISU's bargaining position (it remains to be seen whether that is true or not)

I would rather none of the above. I dont condone what they have done/are doing. But these are teams that are now in the top flight because of these new owners investing. We were relegated under our owners, and moved 35 miles away from home. Would you rather choose your team playing in red in the premiership at the Ricoh? or in League 1 playing home games in Northampton? Fairly pointless comparison but to say they are worse than SISU is a bit ridiculous I think.

If you are asking would I prefer our situation over Cardiff's then I'd have our situation every day (not that our situation is plausable), Football is to much success and money orientated nowadays, I enjoy watching my team win just as much as anyone else, however Football for me is having a laugh with my mates, watching a good game of Football and being entertained. I don't like the fact that I can't do that at the Ricoh at present and before that at Highfield Road, but that's why I love the Away Day's. I won't forgive SISU for what they have done, but changing the name or changing our identity for money makes our club no longer ours.

If you've said you can't work with the council, and they can't work with you, buying the freehold stops that being a problem.
I thought it was all about income streams?
