Embarrasing himself. He just isn't a media guy. Shane was OK, but should have asked when he was saying the Ricoh isn't a viable business, why does Joy want to buy it.

Hate threads like this. What did he say? Can someone type some quotes up so the rest of us can join in? :D

The interview was beyond parody, the best word I can think of to describe it was pitiful. You would almost believe he is a Council plant, for ACL he must seem a godsend. When he speaks it appears that he is just about to breakdown in a flood of tears. Within almost seconds of the interview starting about a new stadium, he is back on about the Ricoh.
Either these people are idiotic beyond belief, or they think the majority of the fanbase are.

I dont think there are loads, but some of his threads like the one this morning are a bit cleverer than the normal wind up, which does get some likes.

There's a group of about 4 or 5 who enjoy his "balance". But yeah he's switched tack recently and as I've stated I agree 100% with this thread.

Look at any Grendel thread or post. There are those who 'like' every one. He could post his Mum's recipe for batter mix and some would 'like' it. Same ones; every time. I don't know if they're trolls, like him, or 'genuine' fans. If the latter I despair

It's the latter I can assure you....superiority complexes from him and fisher

Did Mark get challenged by Shane over

The long term figures of building a stadium, and how they pale in comparison to agreeing a long term rent deal?

Why if as Mr Fisher agreed it is financially better to agree the latest rent offer. When he says you can't do business with the likes of the Higgs trust. How did they do it for the academy.
Also if they are happily building their new stadium how exactly could the council or the Higgs trust damage them whilst they are at the Ricoh earning more money than at Northampton.

Did he get challenged over how this new project could cost 30-50 million. Why do they value a far superior stadium at less, are they intending to offer at least the value it would cost them to build the inferior one.

Did he get asked have they obtained an independent estimated value of the Ricoh based on the info they know so far. Whilst they are wasting some people's time drawing pictures and enquiring about land this could be more useful.

Apparently Fisher is very derogatory about the people of Coventry as a whole.

That much is obvious, he's treat us like shit.

Apparently him and ken dulieu at an end of season awards started going on about coventry and being less than complimentary about the areas surrounding highfield rd.
Unfortunately a certain Cov Kid was there and took exception, as you would.....
The fools didn't even know where their players grew up

I hope the FL are taking notice of this fiasco. At what point can they decide Sisu aren't serious about a new stadium and withdraw the golden share?

that was the funniest thing i've heard yet from the sisu charlatan's yet, how some people still believe all their bull is just as laughable.

Sorry Shmmeee... I'm looking for the 'play again' link on the BBC/CWR page but its not availiable yet.... he said very little you couldnt predict.

From memory- for example when challenged that these were just artists impressions and without planning permission or indeed land to build on he responded with a suggested cloak and dagger secrecy statement, suggesting that to disclose such information would harm OTIUM(?) business position. He mentioned how Otium(SISU?) were in a position to (and I quote) "move very quickly" to buy the Ricoh. He understood the fans frustration, reiterated that CCFC belong in Coventry (or so close it matters not!!) and these artists impessions were in an effort to engage the fans in the consultation process in an effort to do so in parallel, whilst acquisition of land etc meanders it way.

To be honest, it was the manner of his very unconvincing delivery as much as the statements he made. So transparent. When he was challenged he hesitated, and that just added to the flaky nature of the overall statement. Poor Poor show.

So we're thinking it's bullshit then.

Are 60 acre plots of land like football players then?

If we reveal where we're looking Sheff Utd might come in and build a stadium there first?

Tim Fisher confirmed this evening he had been told by CBRE that heads of terms were now completed on one site – but said the club was bound by commercial confidentiality not to reveal any of the prospective sites, as doing so might unhelpfully push up the potential price.
He said delays on the site had been “complicated by the fact it’s August and people are on holiday.”

That was August.. when a land deal was weeks away..
