No it's not, but then you would wade in with a subtle defence of the hedge fund wouldn't you. Your whole position seemed to change a few months back when you.........went to Sixfields or was it maybe a threat from the London lawyers !?

Where was it a defence of anybody? My whole position hasn't changed, if people want to fall out with family members because they go to Sixfields then they need to have a look at themselves I guess.

Legal threat? What shit are you making up now?

Excuse me, you shook yourself out of bed and jumped on here with the first salvo pal !

'Salvo'

My 'salvo' was to attack those that uphold the divide. Something that I believe will kill our club ((((regardless of who started it))))

Your response was to attack that. Therefore your personal insults seem to indicate that you want to keep the divide....

...and given your gusto, you appear to thrive on it.

So families and friends are falling out over it? Surely that is a bit OTT? The division is being caused by the people who are dividing.

If I didn't believe in Sixfields and my mates wanted to go then it is up to them, they would still be my mates.

But not everyone is you Nick. I would be the same.

We just have to accept that football fans can be very passionate at times and situations like this cause friction. There have been incidents of players receiving death threats for missing a penalty or costing a game before and death threats against refs too at other clubs up and down the country.

It's all idiotic behaviour for sure and it is beyond my reasoning to shout abuse at anyone because their view differs to mine, but not everyone is rational thinking and well reasoned in their behaviour are they.

I used the miners strike as an example of how when passions are raised and people are angry, how they behave in ways they wouldn't normally behave. My guess is though, that many the City 'fans' giving out the abuse are like this anyway in their nature and the act it's not particularly out of any sort of desperation at the situation.

A lot are just knobs anyway.

So I hit out at the hedge fund, you hit out at me and I hit back and what if this was face to face after a skin full of ale.................and then you say a divide hasn't been created by the ridiculous scenario we find ourselves in ? For what it's worth I know a few 'Sixfield' attendees and they are all just Dads with young lads trying to keep that bond going and their son's as loyal City fans, I don't have a problem with that train of thought at all. I do have a problem with posters or individuals trying to justify their { SISU's} spiteful actions !

I don't agree with calling people scabs etc.

I don't agree with a single coventry fan attending Sixfields as we do not have to be there. If not a single fan attended our plight would be highlighted. In my opinion a greater selfish need us why some go.

I am not prepared to say if you want to go that's up to you but I don't.

I have a right to criticise and debate with those who go.(if they want to) That is my opinion but abuse no way never right.

No, you started making things up about legal letters and me defending them? I haven't defended their actions.

That isn't caused by SISU, that is caused by you just talking shit. If people want to fall out with friends and family over it then it is their problem.

If I went into Sixfields, then came out I would happily have a beer with somebody who thinks it is wrong and talk about the game.

There is no reason at all to fall out with friends and family.

Of course sisu have caused the divide. Who else moved us to Northampton then?

We wouldn't be having threads like this if we were still at the Ricoh.

Mind you,you wouldn't be getting free tickets for home games then would you.

Thing is though Nick, the owners must have known this move to Northampton was going to cause anger, friction and division amongst fans. They must have and they have done very little to reassure the City faithful staying away from these 'home' games in Northampton.

I agree, I'm not old enough to remember the miners strike so can't really comment on it but people falling out with their sons for just wanting to support their family?

I agree about the knobs bit, some just like to be angry, outraged and protesting whether it is whether people should go, shouldn't, if the grass is too long in the park, if the swing is creaky or anything else they can have an issue with.

Ashdown.

We've had our run-ins mate...but never about fūcking football !!

It's shit. Where we are as a club is shit.

..and furthermore, SISU are to blame...along with the Council, ACL and seemingly, Higgs.

Events (some understood, most not) have led us here. Do we want the whole thing to implode? Do we want Coventry City to end?

We could argue all day about whose fault it is...who started it and who initially divided the fans...but it's all becoming of secondary importance to the fact that we are slowly cementing the divide so that it deepens to the point that it will scar our club way beyond the point that SISU leave.

It's time for the 'blame game' to be secondary to 'where do we go from here'.

...and that, my friend, is currently the unknown.

I have always liked (not always agreed) with what you have to say. I know there's more to your game than personal insults.

I'm not saying SISU are blameless, but when people are saying "anybody who goes into Sixfields is a scab" or "anybody who doesnt go isn't a fan" and then turn round and blame sisu for the divide don't see the irony.

I have heard somebody was getting abused for going to sixfields at Preston.

Did anybody see or hear what happened?l

Happy to be told it didn't happen![/QUOTE
Yes it did happen. A certain person who thinks he is above everyone else is always calling fans who go to the cobblers scabs. I am just about fed up of him. He even thinks it is alright to smoke whilst watching the match. Anyone worked out who he is?

Nick, I was at Preston and didn't see/hear any problem. There seem to be lots of opinions on here but very few facts! Did whoever told you about this say who was involved, how it started etc? I know from what happened at the Brentford game that the 'excitement' that any mention of conflict between fans seems to cause led to something smaller than a molehill becoming Everest and the truth of what happened soon went out of the window. Is the same happening here?

You had to be there Nick.

People went on strike on principal. They went without any wages for well over a year and were really living on the breadline. I think the notion that other people were keeping the mines going and earning money while they had none really got their backs up. Add to that the fact that some of these differing factions were from the same family and it was easy to see why they fell out.

It was so sad to see. I think this one family never ever properly patched things up right until the day of the dad's death.

Im sorry but people who go to sixfields are scabs in my eyes and in most peoples eyes, the club is divided which is a shame, roll on afc Coventry. Sisu have destroyed are club along with many more, Sisu will never come back to cov its Northampton sky blues they want, the quicker we start again the better.
h as you
What right do you have to call me anything. I hate Sisu as much as you. Its your choice whether you watch your team or not, don't have a go at me

It's becoming clear that unless you have a pop at those that want to go to Sixfields, or fail to blame SISU 100% in every post....you're supporting an evil hedge fund.

Three parties started this mess...

...the fans will seemingly end it.

Fūcking sad.

Yes, we should give a shit who started it...

..but why continue it?

(awaits brainless barrage)

You need to read through your posts and look at a how you address people fella. You say people shouldn't attack each other yet this is all you do on here.

You expect respect but aren't willing to give any the other way.

mark82..So you think 4 blokes having a go at an old man is acceptable? What the argument was about is irrelevant...............................................................................It most definately is NOT acceptable. I think the post by ASB..Is only pointing out the abuse given from BOTH sides in this affair. So you may have mis-read his post mate.
