A quick question about sixfields (9 Viewers)

Equally- does by his own admission revel in such responses.. he's hardly a shrinking violet in that regard, recently posting quite offensive remarks such that I reported to Mods, they were disgusting- I criticised him openly on the forum and the post was removed.
I agree AJ "cyber" bullying isnt on... but I doubt:1 He's remotely bothered, 2 a totally innocent victim?

My problem isn't whether the people following Grendel offend him (I'd be amazed as it's not the most cutting stuff) but it's incredibly dull to see it happen in every thread he posts in. If he brings it on himself then sure, but it's increasingly the case that it's not what is said but who says it, and the people continually doing it either don't seem to realise or just don't care. I have no real interest in defending Grendel, this is purely selfish motivation. It gets a bit much to see threads all go the same way.

I agree and to be clear despite Torch's opinion based 'take' on my previous neither do I.
Again though G isnt at all "shy" in his commentary on all things, to a point in certain circumstances that he could be accused of goading... there's even a Poll running in his name, which I suspect serves his ego only too well, which he partakes in with apparent gleeful abandon.... I have no axe at all to grind with G... I could discuss quite easily over a pint our differences and our alignend views, not attending sixfields being one.

What offensive remarks?

Does anyone remember an American sitcom on TV years ago (circa late 70's-early 80's) called 'Soap'?

The opening credits featured the cast consisting of two families posing nicely for a group photo before descending into bickering, pushing and shoving and eventually, full on fisticuffs.

That's what this thread, and the wider Sky Blue Army at present reminds me of.

Yes I remember it.

Dear god, it's not the car crash shite again is it?
Please no!

Of course - I think walker is the guy who knows the pitch invade. Looking at this blokes Facebook site I wonder when he knew him.

Oddly as hunt ignored me I assume walker is the one who PM'd him to advise him to take legal action. Given Hunts extremely dubious posting history regarding equality, decency, racial slurs and mysonistic behaviour this could make him culpable in the appalling slurs I've had to endure today. I am so stressed I am unable to concentrate on my work. There will be repercussions.

What I find rather odd is when rob2598 (or whatever) says it and means it, no one really bats an eyelid. However when you say it, it's the crime of the century, even though you were using his words within the context of the thread.

I do know the pitch invader through the association of work. Any other reference in your post is one of your imagination and not at all with rationale thinking, or with foundation, but you've had stressful day so I forgive you.

Mark- I didn't read Robs thread as you suggest to same? only G's, I don't read every thread, nor do I "follow" G, maybe I missed the context of the thread and took it literally-apologies... but I wouldnt post such a thing in any context... and judging by the mods removal I think it wasnt a view I alone held?

It was a sickening comment made by rob, referring to sixfield attendees.
I just think there's a select few (not you) that are quick to jump on whatever grendel posts. Even if you disagree with him, he makes some valid points.

OK. I dont think I read that-not at all appropriate- I thought it was G's comment alone, maybe G ought to consider his actions posting such garbage even in jest.
I'm not doubting at all that some follow G with a view to disruption.
Probably best left there... maybe G can search his soul and consider his inference towards me that were totally without foundation... but that's his prerogative. No repercussions

It was a bad comment and not something i condone. But it was definitely out of character for Rob. We have all had bad days and sometimes get over frustrated at the situation. I would think we have all posted something we regret at some point or another on here.

That's why Rob wasn't banned....

His view on Garry Speed was that he liked "arse crack" and his view on scousers at Hillsborough is very well documented.

The Garry Speed comment was edited as it was complained about - the Hillsborough ones are there for all to see. Sorry I don't post crap like that.

Clearly not then....which kind of brings this debate to a nice conclusion... fortitude and humility are a nice balance- for some?
