With respect that is bullshit. Do you condone a statement that wants fisher and seppella to die in excruciating agony? Yes or no?

Chuffing right . I'd pull their nails out first one by one . Make the fuckers suffer .

Add to them the cancer and rape comments and you realise some people need to have a word with themselves.

Or with a psychiatrist.

Why should I care if these two individuals die in excruciating agony or not?

Absolute honesty, I would struggle to feel anything if they did.
I dont actively wish them dead, but I wouldn't care if they did die.

But it's okay to hope that the tax payer and a children's charity get financially raped by overseas investors in a hedge fund. If you want to be the PC police I suggest you get all your morals and principles in the right place first, otherwise your just a hypocrite.

Businesses make gains and losses all the time - no comparisons. Anyway I don't like using words like rape in this context but given that the council and the charity have been abusing the club for years I think a bit of a fight back from the victim is a good thing.

By the way, I wouldn't condone the behaviour if its Lucas, mutton, PWKH either.

So do you condone it?

Charities invest in the people that need assistance, tax payers invest in local community and the services required to run them.

Hedge funds help the "have's" become the "have lots"

Your right when you say that there's no comparison. I'm cheering on the little guy's. You're cheering on the ugly face of capitalism at it's worse. You have no grounds to be judging anyone.

So you are happy for the football club to be exploited then? Strange logic. It seems that when the club are being ripped off by ACL then 'it's only business', yet the same logic doesn't apply to the club wanting to escape from being exploited.

Didn't the council step in to ensure the stadium got built? Weren't the club supposed to buy into ACL via Higgs at a later date? Didn't the club sell the F&B rights? If so, how was the club exploited? The club is now a different entity to the club run by local businessmen interested in Coventry ( and themselves ). It is a hedge fund who's sole purpose is to generate wealth and therefore, has no interest in the City of Coventry or soccer - apart from possible wealth creation in the Coventry area. So, please don't start the poor victim sketch. These people ( SISU ) are business educated people with a wealth of experience between them. If they have made a mistake by accepting the rental conditions through the purchase of CCFC, then they are certainly not victims, but have made a poor business decision, which they are now forced to correct as best they can. Doesn't help CCFC fans though.

No. I'm not. What you and the other sisu apologist don't seem to be able to grasp is that the only people currently exploiting the football club is SISU.

I'll ask you the same question. So are you happy for the football club to be exploited then?

How much of it's own money did CCC put into the construction of the Arena? How much of this do you reckon they have recouped since if you take into consideration the F & B sales, car parking, naming rights etc? As I have said before, if Hoffman/Haskell had managed to successfully takeover the club and then taken up the same stance as SISU, I am certain that the fundamentalists on here who demand 'militant action' would already have their pitch forks out for the council. Yet because it is SISU, they seem to forget that they should be wanting what is best for the football club.

I am surprised that you aren't singing the praises of Tesco for their part in the construction of the Ricoh?

No of course not. I want what is best for the club, and the sooner we can detach ourselves from SISU and ACL the better. The Ricoh is not our home, we do not own it and never will do.

It is laughable that those who attach blame to both ACL & SISU are labelled as 'sisu apologists' by the very people who once claimed that those who didn't blindly worship sisu were Leicester fans.

I agree, surely acl.should have done better due dilligence and had better contracts to stop them from being broken like that?

I can't tell if you are serious? there is no contract you can't break by doing what sisu did.

Maybe acl should have done due diligence before allowing sisu to take over?

Not saying this is what I believe, just that the whole they agreed to it, it's their fault thing isn't quite as simple.

I see you are keeping on thread... You only do due diligence when you are acquiring something, the contract existed. The consequences of a hedge fund manoeuvring out of the contract rather than continuing negotiations is 1000 paying customers in Northants and an utter shambles of a club. But you seem happy with them as owners.
You reap what you sow.

ACL are poor innocent lambs who only want what is best for the football club. They were innocently led to slaughter and left to die. Grrrrr Grrrrrr

Ok, maybe they could have researched sisu before allowing them to take it on?

Like I said, I don't believe this but it is just turning the other argument around.

Look at the books of ACL to see how much they send to the council. If the council are wallowing in money because of the Ricoh, then fair play to them, ( they are not btw), because that would be saying that they made a great decision on behalf of council tax payers - and not offshore tax dodgers in the Cayman Isles. The reality is that "the club" are trying to blackmail them via the JR, and I bet they wish that they had never got involved.

Hoffmann is at least a fan, so I would expect a different tactic if he were in this position. Haskell comes close to being a SISU ( Joy majored in Real Estate and Haskell makes his money from Real Estate ). I think his interest was bluff - as is the "Pie in the Sky Stadium" - , or just plain opportunist .

The best for CCFC has little to do with a return on investment for offshore risk investors - unless, by pure chance, SISU can get out by selling to a good owner.

Tesco took a risk by paying top money for a site outside of London. They probably hoped for a new station on site and regeneration of the area. It hasn't gone ahead as planned, but Tesco have not relocated 35 miles away and do not make a song and dance about having paid the agreed purchase price for council land. They have my respect and I hope they are doing well.

If they had refused SISU coming into the club then GPE & his crew would have been up in arms. They would certainly have supported the collapse of ACL then.

I think that you need to look in the mirror to before you reinvented yourself.

I haven't reinvented anything thanks. If you are suggesting I changed my position on Sisu you are wrong.
They simply have to be judged as a business on their performance. And they have been an utter disaster.

Edit. Oh the super intelligent Sick Boy has confused me with GinettasStickySofa. Err wrong name Einstein.

ACL are a stadium management company who only want what is best for their owners - CCC and Higgs ( Higgs was supposed to have been bought out by the football club ). The football club was an anchor tenant who only want what is best for the football club ( in theory - but SISU want their investment back, which is not necessarily what is best for the sporting side of the football club ). The football club was supposed to buy into ACL. Would the football club then have become a poor innocent lamb?

Exactly, and what's people obsession with sticking to one side and blindly following it from then on. See political voting for another example of this.
I originally supported Sisu and was grateful that they saved the club. I'm not embarrassed to admit that, many people were the same.
Now I can clearly see they have completely fucked it up and want them out.

Have I 'switched sides' or 're-invented myself'? No, I see what's going on and base my opinions and thoughts on that.
If sisu piled in, apologised to everyone and invested heavily in the club and brought us home, I'd be pleased with that and leave all the Sisu out stuff well alone.
I'm sure many on here would never be able to 'forgive' them regardless, but it will be their loss in the long run.

And there is no point bringing hindsight into it. In hindsight I wouldn't be supporting this shower of shite at all and I'd have capitalised the H in my username.

if you don't believe it why say it? its not turning the argument round, it's not playing devils advocate its just nonsense. ACL had no say and even if they did they would have had to say yes because the club would have gone into admin and they would have lost the contract. Not to mention the absolute outrage that would have quite rightly occurred had the stadium management company not allowed ccfc to be sold and instead made us go into admin. Of course with hindsight admin that day would have almost certainly be far more preferable to what has transpired.

Net~ £350,000. They got most of the money ~£6.5M they originally put in paid back by the Higgs Charity when the Charity bought out the clubs stake and rescued the club from insolvency.
Ask instead how much the Higgs Charity has committed to the Arena and why should they be exploited by a hedge fund!

Why over complicate it. Sisu took over a contract with a supplier, if they had run a successful business everyone would have been happy including 'all owners'.
They failed miserably, acted unprofessionally in non payments, squirming out of contracts, trying to distress the supplier. And it's all over the floor under Sisu's stewardship of the business.

Did I say that? It's ok for SISU to want the best for SISU. But that is not the best for CCC ( who represent my home city ) nor is it necessarily the best for my favourite football team. The football club should have bought into ACL. They didn't and they sold the F&B rights. SISU have made bad decisions, but are attempting to deflect their failures on to CCC and ACL. That doesn't mean CCC and ACL are perfect, but it does mean that SISU made their bed and have to lie in it.

We see alot of criticism about people changing their opinions. Either people accuse them of being wishy washy, or they use the persons previous opinion as a weapon against them (this is the one we see alot here), It's ridiculous.

If you change your opinion based on new information, you are smart, you are a sensible and reasonable human being and the planet needs alot more of that. We shouldn't be so ashamed of being wrong that we stick to our guns no matter what, it causes so much damage the world over.

We should all strive for this, we should all reevaluate our opinions and see if they are still based in logic and fact, it is surprisingly difficult as no one likes to be wrong, but we should do our best, the world will thank us.
