1. Scrap Trident.

2. Reduce the military from an overbloated attempt at colonialism to a national defence force.

3. Scrap the monarchy.

4. Scrap hereditary peerages.

5. Plough the proceeds into minimum wage rises and the industries of regions outside SE England.

6. Where do I sign?

2 & 3 will lose you the election (not that I disagree, though the monarchy are good PR).

EDIT: Hey Rob! If you're in need of a manifesto... :D

Just wait till Charles becomes king-he will do more for republicanism than any level of campaigning ever could! I think people would be quite happy if a downsized military meant we weren't sending people off to die all over the world because we're afraid of 'losing global influence'.

I think you underestimate the Little Englander demographic.

It begs the question if we carried on and took a stance on Syria whether Ukraine would be happening now .

Or Ukriane should ever have been encouraged on It's current path .

Bottom line is that what goes on in these countries isn't a direct threat to our security so military intervention would be a waste of time, money and life.

No. Not at all.

1, We need some sort of deterrent.

2, Big vote loser. Ask the Lib Dems.

3, My wife works where they build them :D

In fairness that's the main purpose of renewing military equipment, whole economies are based around BAE systems, especially up your way!

They've already done this, the army is now not an army but a defence force.

Agreed

5. Plough the proceeds into minimum wage rises and the industries of regions outside SE England.

Half agree, infrastructure spending is required outside SE England and London, better making companies want to base themselves there through developing the infrastructure. Employers already got a subsidy through the ludicrous tax credits system.

MSN chat years ago used to have loads of "Lesbian" chat rooms which were just full of blokes pretending to be lesbians wanking off to another bloke who was also pretending to be a lesbian.

I assume you were just researching internet culture at the time!

Afternoon all…I'm trying to catch up with the past 24 hours on this thread. I've pulled out some of the key questions along the way so should be able to provide some answers.

I got quizzed by Shane O'Conner this morning which may help answer some of the questions.

Interview starts at 0:19:45 here:

Forget that! Since you've been gone we've set up a new left wing party, solved the Ricoh ownership issue and me and CC4L have even had a cordial conversation. Frankly anything you do now is gilding the lilly.

To be fair I'd still like to know Rob's stance on the monarchy.

Rob, you admit in this interview that a strategy of putting up candidates for council elections means 'Get Cov Back to the Ricoh' as a group have come down on one-side of the debate, yet for the past 6 months you have been claiming that as a group you want pressure on all sides. I don't think your argument that other groups are pressuring Football League, the Club etc. is credible when you are wanting people to vote for your candidates, who will be seen inevitably as solely anti-council/ ACL.

That said, you showed your first sign of real ability as a politician by avoiding answering one of Shane's questions!
