Amazing how kcic has clout? If rob and Michael work together they can target all sides :)

Rob, you seem well connected in sisu circles. Can you find out under what terms will CCFC's tenancy agreement will be with sisu should they gain control of the ricoh or indeed build imagination land. It would be a lot easier to get on board with sisu's plans if we knew exactly what this means for the club. They seem reluctant to make this clear yet assuming the tenancy agreement is going to be something that all fans have been dreaming of (which is what they seem to be trying to sell us) it would be the easiest cheapest bit of PR they could do, yet nothing.

It seems to me that your campaign looses a lot of clout without this knowledge.

To be honest there are about 5-6 bog standard questions that if the club answered. By answered I mean in a way that makes rational sense they could really turn a lot of fans to their way of thinking.
The problem is these are such basic questions that when they are not able to answer them it has the opposite effect in a massive way.

Unfortunately I'm in the cinema now so I'll catch up in everything in the morning and happy to fill in any gaps.

BTW, for anyone trying to spin it another way, "spoken to" = anything from an official minutes council meeting to a telephone conversation and anything in between.

Nothing underhand in a small part of a comment but interesting to see how it has been picked up on. Welcome to politics I guess. I knew we'd be getting backs up at the council :)

Got backs up at the council? You are getting the backs up of people that you would need support from. CCC means not a lot to me. But if you make out that you have had talks with someone and then it comes down mainly to talking about beer...........

So it is OK to spin as you see yourself as in politics? I am the same as the majority of us. Lies and spin are close to being the same. And if you are classed as lying or spinning it makes you less trustworthy. Which is why SISU are not trusted by anyone other than idiots. And anyone using similar words to them and are after what they want will be deemed to be of similar standing.

i wouldn't say people are trying to spin it, when you've announced you're starting a party to stand candidates in the local election and then state "We've spoken to all sides in this and will continue to do so, so yes to talking to people from the Sisu side. And the Council/Higgs/ACL side. And a few other sides too" most people would interpret that as something more formal than a few comments in passing where other person wasn't even aware who you were representing!

Would probably be a good idea to clarify what communication has taken place with all the parties involved.

Interesting to see you were at court with Les Reid, wasn't there rumours around the time of the protest at the council house that Reid was involved somehow? Seem to recall a disproportionate level of coverage for the protest and the phrasing of some of the groups statements being queried for being very close in tone and content to those made by Reid. Can't remember if anything ever came of that as Reid seemed to disappear off the face of the earth! Is he now involved with the campaign in any way? Would explain why he is no longer writing to the CT as that would be a huge conflict of interest!

Why is it getting people's backs up?

Have spoken to all sides. So has spoken to SISU an Les Reid about our club and the Ricoh. Spoken to PWKH about beer. But makes it sound like unbiased meetings have taken place when it sounds like the most biased people have only been spoken to where the subject matters.

For all we know he may have asked Sisu if they prefer red, white, or to be a bit racy, rose.

Admit just talking to somebody about beer doesn't mean you're discussing a way to buy out ACL.

I'd have had it all sorted out years ago if that was the case.

I had no idea that was you. Indeed I saw you sitting with Les Reid for the first two days in Court and passed the time of day with you. I saw you outside the Court in the Lock, Stock and Barrel and compared with you the ales on offer with our local East Sussex ale from Harveys of Lewes and asked if that was what you drank at home in Brighton. I did indeed talk about the work of the Charity. If this is classed as "talking with all sides" I would hope everyone would be polite and behave properly. To suggest that any of it was meaningful discussion about the sale and purchase of the Higgs Charity shares is fanciful. Paul didn't mention it, but why ask him to arrange a meeting when you could have asked either the Chair of the Charity or me, the Clerk.

Love they way you casually threw Les Reids name out there. Clever strategy well done.

You don't have to - you just always do and always will.

Just as people agreed with you in the days of you doing decent posts. But you now seem to be on a one man crusade against CCC.

He should have written it in emails, shouldn't he? Everyone would be on his side then.

Because it's leading people to think one thing, and then it turns out not to be the case. Some people find that sort of thing annoying.

You may call it strategy but do you not think that would be of interest to some people given Reid's perceived stance on CCCs role in this? And of course if PWKH is mistaken and Reid wasn't there with Rob then we will find out soon enough when Rob comes on in the morning to answer all the points raised.

Was he there? Did they speak to each other? Was PWKH not allowed to mention this as Les Reid has been the most biased twat in all of this......other than our local MEP :thinking about:

Nope don't think a lot of people have liked many of my posts on my favourite subjects.

I just have an annoying habit of being right about certain things. Don't think its a one man crusade either - if I was RobS I would be very happy with the response. I would have quickly worked out who on here would react and rubbish the proposal and the more vehemently they do it the more his main campaign points are validated.

The fact even old PWKH has dropped by is just the icing on the cake. He's agreed to a meet now so rob should arrange the meeting minute it and report back on the outcome.

Do you mean the meeting that Rob had implied had taken place?

So you now think that if the majority think you are wrong it makes you right? I am starting to wonder if you have also spoken to SISU and have fallen for the spin :thinking about:

I like the idea of doing minutes.

Rob can you also minute any meetings you have with the other parties involved and report back on them too.

So it appears that Rob S was correct when he said he'd spoken to Lord Peter of silver spoon. And I've actually got to agree with Grendel, in my humble opinion it's a bit cuntish to play the ' I saw you sitting next to Led Reid and discussed Sussex ales' hand. You could have just said 'sorry mate, didn't know that was you' but no, you've got to give it the I'm considerably more important than you, speak to my PA and we'll have a fully minuted meeting bollocks. It's this sort of self-important shite that has got us where we are. Acl, sisu, the fucking council. Fuck off the lot of you.

It is no shock that you agree with Grendel though is it?

And we have someone that makes out that something happened that didn't yet you still try and blame others for what happened.

It got media attention didn't it? Isn't that the aim?

And I think that's all any movement can hope to achieve at this moment in time. The minute our story falls completely out of the media's eye the club truly is done for. Credit has to go to Rob and Michael for this.

(edit) keeping ccfc in the media that is, not killing the club.

What are you implying? That unlike yourself I'm an unquestioning Sisu love machine? Seriously, go fuck yourself. I've been going to games since 72. I want to watch football with my dad in Cov a few more times before he dies. Hedge funds, community assets and local charities can all fuck right off. I've had enough of this shit.

Never read it like that, but congrats on making me smile on a thread that's going the usual bitchy way :(

The irony is, as you rightly allude to, as far as I can see neither Rob nor Michael have a problem with the other's approach, so why on earth are they being compared and contrasted by some in a protest dick waving event?!?

Be nice if we could just have one unified campaign(!) with actual numbers attending and all rather than a bunch of different acronyms until everyone's lost who stands for what... but this thread is going particularly bizarre just atm!

Disagree -- I think the minute Michael starts questioning the council he will be accused of having secret meetings with Joy Sepella who does her brainwashing routine and he will be spotted at the car boot sale with Les Reid.

Yeah go fuck yourself. Great reply.

So you think that having a go at anyone but SISU will bring us home? There is only one side that can bring us home? Do you think I find it funny about our situation? Do you think I am wrong for not trying to help get SISU their own way?

I suppose following our club for nearly 40 years is nothing because I don't live near Coventry.

There are laws that will stop SISU getting what they are after. Shout down everyone else as much as you want. It won't bring our club home until Joy picks up the phone.

Exactly. I'm sure there's an event somewhere concerning ccfc where Michael and Rob could join forces in the common interest that they share. I like the fact that they're coming at it from different angles and I think we should all embrace that.

I agree. I for one have been saying "Why isn't KCIC targetting the council" but if the answer is "So and so does this, so and so does this" and that they can all work together, it would be a lot better in the long run as every base is covered isn't it.

Can Rob have access to the Trust newsletter list too? :)

You're at fault because you've nailed your colours to the mast. We've been royally fucked by all the parties but you're only willing to blame one of them. We're football fans, we support a pretty shit team who are playing home games miles away but instead of insisting all the wankers involved be challenged people have devolved into factions, supporting fucking charities and councils and hedge funds. They are all self-serving wankers and they are playing us like little violins. Media assaults ahoy.

And yes, go fuck yourself.
