It's greenbelt land, there would be uproar if they gave planning permission for it there whilst there is a shortage of housing in the area.

But they could always do what Arsenal did with their old ground and make lots of apartments out of the ground when they moved stadiums. Maybe this is their sneaky plan. Build a stadium, move back to the Ricoh and make lots of flats out of the shack they build to pay for the Ricoh.

The M6 isn't the boundary is it? I always thought the boundary was up by Makro / Leekes?

I would assume the nearer they get to the boundary the more cooperation they need from CCC in terms of any infrastructure changes. If we can't build it in Coventry as CCC will block it would that not rule out site right by the boundary?

What potential sites are there that could be covered by N&B council. Quick look at Google Maps seems to throw up the one that was mentioned in the CT before, the general consensus on that was zero chance of getting planning permission, or maybe right be Nuneaton Town which they surely wouldn't be too happy about. Any other potential sites that aren't green belt?

Cant be south of M6 due to that area being in the boundry of Coventry
And dont think it will be built in Nuneaton and Bedworth borough . No where for them to build a stadium.
I live in Bedworth and will not support Coventry unless its in the borough of Coventry its in the name.

Behind Leeks up towards the M6 is Bedworth.
Its all in the perception. If it was South of the M6 you thought it was in Coventry so is that okay?

Damn. And I'd have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for you meddling kids. :)

Simon Gilbert has tweeted the following:

'Received apology from @NBBCouncil - after I reported them to the Information Commisioner - for refusal to answer FOI about Sky Blues stadium
'We already knew, but @NBBCouncil have now officially confirmed 'informal' discussions about a new Sky Blues in the borough.

'However, the precise details of sites discussed are being withheld by @NBBCouncil. Do they have a duty to inform voters / the taxpayers?'

Congratulations Simon, another good & helpful piece of journalism.

I no longer live in or near Cov but how about you citizens of Cov/Nuneaton start asking questions of your local MPs and MEPs. There are 2 MPs listed for Bedworth/Nuneaton--Dan Byles and Marcus Jones plus the redoubtable Ms Nicki Sinclaire as MEP. Not sure whether she is up for re-election in may at the euro elections but Byles/Jones will be next year in the General Election.Lets get some clear answers as to whether they support CCFC relocating to Nuneaton/Bedworth area( and maybe vote accordingly?)

This would be an easy point scoring exercise for the GCBTR candidate. If the question is asked they can't really ignore it and are they going to want to risk annoying their constituents by supporting us moving into their area.

Oh, they'll turn on Simon soon enough. He'll just need to put a word or two out of place and he'll go the way of Les Reid.

Well it's a step up from publicising different £3million scams every week I suppose.

If I remember correctly she was voted in as UKIP and then promptly resigned from UKIP and started her own party. I was thinking of voting UKIP anyway as a tactical vote to send a message to Brussels that they need to wind there neck in and the chance of voting out Ms Sinclair was the clincher.

You think Brussels are interested? Brussels is the least of Britain's problems.

That is just priceless. You berate GMK for casual racism because of Indian food puns but you're going to vote ukip.

You couldn't make this shit up.

Comments like that just encourage racism.

I knew you didn't believe in democracy at a local level, but it seems you dont at a European level as well.

UKIP, the pink gin and Golf Club wing of the BNP, for those who like to watch Roots backwards so it has a happy ending.

That's like saying the labour party is full of militant communists who want to send anyone who disagrees with their ideology to a Siberian work camp.

That's exactly the description of the Labour Party that you'd get from a typical UKIP'er.

Missed out LIEbour, LABLIBCON and EUSSSR from UKIP bingo there.

A bunch of paranoid, frothing, mentalists dreaming of a better world that never really existed.

Can see why would go down well with some on here!

Just to clarify what your saying then:

A centre right party have links to extreme right wing parties.

A centre left party have no links to extreme left wing parties.

If you dont agree with ukip then fine, but to brandish them as racist because you disagree with their policies is moronic.

To try and steer things back toward topic what potential sites are there in the N&BC area? There's the one the CET ran a couple of articles on that most people seemed to rule out due to issues with planning permission and access. There looks to be some free land right next to Nuneaton Town. Any other potential sites come under that council that aren't green belt?

That's a flood plain. It would be a brave man that builds on there.

I brand them as racist because they are, dressed up as "Common Sense", and scare tactics to keep people divided, fear of the other.

Always the types to say "it's political correctness gone mad" because they're not allowed to call people "Paki's" or "Niggers" anymore.

Feel sorry for them to be honest.

Like I say, if you disagree with their policies then fine. Just because you choose not to vote for them doesn't mean their racists. Nor does it give you the right to slur the good name of people who do vote for them. Coincidentally I won't be voting for them, but I believe in democracy.

Next to Nuneaton Town? Well that would rule that one out you'd think. Any other possible sites. It can't be that hard to work out likely sites of that size.

Yes the River Ankler runs through there.

Not if it encouraged racist parties no I don't. Still coming from someone who thought a few Adolf jokes was worth a laugh what do you expect.

Personally I reckon democracy sucks.

The only good thing that comes from it are the intrinsic values of liberty and equality.

Its a shame that political parties don't always follow these ideals.

Clearly you've been waiting for an opportunity to accuse me of being a racist but this is pretty lame by any standard.

Interesting that you now admit that there is casual racism on GMK though. What changed your mind?

Comprehension not one of your skill sets is it?

I'm not sure he has a skill set does he? Copying other posters jokes, phrases and user name parodies is hardly a skill set.
