Don't wish to piss on anyone's chips, but if an offer such as 3m comes in for a player like Wilson you have to take that as a club and if you didn't bring a number of players in, in exchange for the players you have lost you would be rather incompetent wouldn't you? The club have merely done what needed to be done. What had to be done for us to function as a squad for next season.
No disrespect intended here Otis, but, how many of the "Incoming Five" have been "BOUGHT"?

You don't have to "buy" that many players on this league.

Doncaster "bought" only billy Paynter and got promoted, Yoevil only "bought" 2 players and one was paddy madden for £15k and got promoted.

So no one defends them?
So posters who never have a bad word to say for them and there are some are defending them covertly?

As for Gunnarson out of all the players we brought in how many that we have never heard of turned out any good?
So bring in 6 and hope one turns out as a reasonable player.

Just can't see it as good business.
We have a shit defence and if it wasn't for the Goals last season we would have got relegated even without the 10 point deduction.

So we sell our strike partnership best we have had since Wallace and Ferguson and I should see it as a good deal?

At least we looked exciting going forward last season I now worry we will have nothing.

No one's defending SISU you plank....I'm commending SP and SW on a good bit of business....£3m and some players coming our way...not a good bit of business? Think about it on its merits....regardless of the situation.

As for not having heard of the players.....fair comment.

I had never heard of Gunnarsson when we signed him either......

This thread isn't intended to follow the same route as 98% of threads on SBT in the past few months...leave it out! Can't we f*&king celebrate some players coming to the club without resorting to the same shite that's been volleyed around for the past god knows how long?

We're still a football club (just about). Regardless of what goes on in the courtroom, lets be appreciative that we've brought some players in to replenish our squad whilst a few are sh*tting themselves that we'll get relegated.

WM

PS. No offence.

I understand you sentiment, and yes, it could be good business, but even if this got us to a playoff or fa cup final, right now I would not go. Just as hard as I try cannot get excited about football until these kid-knapers / High-jackers or whatever they are have return OUR CLUB to the City of Coventry, not the area, the Ricoh, and started to treat me as a Football fan, not a franchised team follower.

P.S Thank you for the goals last season, wish you the best for the future...

As I take little interest of any league outside ours I hadn't heard of Juke, dann, fox, cork, Westwood, warnock, gunnarsson or keogh, I hadn't heard of huckerby or Ndlovu or Stuart Pearce either before we signed them....

I had heard of Kyle Lightbourne and david bell and Nathan Delfouneso

No idea. I'm not knocking Sisu here because I can't see that they have any other choice than to sell Wilson if the deal is around 3m. I can't knock them either for bringing in cheaper replacements than those players that have left. Makes business sense.

Don't think they deserve credit though. They have merely done what a football club needs to do to survive.

OK I will take your word for it that they are good players but most of the players you have mentioned we Brought apart from Warnock(who we should have brought).
But I was on about Loan players.

I dont have a fekking clue who you are, apart from you attend the Rugby and steward on marches...oh and own a whistle, and type on a keyboard like I do.

He's such a twat. It took what, three posts of 'I don't care what you say' etc to get to 'come and meet me'
What a warrior.
Ha ha. Fuck your march.

I can't bring myself to say 'well done SISU' and mean it. All they have done is replaced players who have left, and they had no choice to do so unless they wanted League Two.

So yeah well done for running the club....like a club should be run, for a change.

No you do a good job yourself.........;)

Why what have I done that divides fans? Funny how its only the ones who hammer people for sixfields who go on about dividing fans. Oh and Michael just after he has had digs at other fans and divided them up into little groups.

Every time there's a whiff of a player leaving (which happens when 99.9% of clubs get a bid in for a star player), everyone on this forum, me included, gets our knickers in a twist.

I think in this case, getting £3m for Wilson and 2 or 3 loanees is a cracking bit of business. Couple with the two other new fellas, a tiny bit of optimism has creeped back...for me anyway. I know everyone wont be happy until we're back in Cov (me included) but it's good to see that we're signing players and doing some positive transfer dealings.

I know it remains to be seen how they turn out but at least they'll have a full pre-season together.

Credit to SP and SW. Well done chaps...more of the same please...

WM

Sell best players and replace them with cheap unknowns. Sorry you're wrong.awful way to run a club and we will be relegated because of it.

Nothing just returning the complement.
Look I have said before don't agree with most Michael does but his heart and passion is in the right place we are all misguided at times.

So why do people moan we replace players with nobodies, when most of our decent players were nobodies who they are then outraged they left.

It's like the people who moan about signing people for free and moaning we sell them and free players are no good.

Oh and when have I ever said sixfielders were dividing the fans?
I just said they were cunts.
There is a difference and that's just my opinion.

That sentence,"you won't be happy until we are back at the Ricoh" for 90% of the fans is the most important.
Those 90% would not watch the sky blues if we signed Neymar, the club do not realise this,it's the basic principal that Cov playing in Northampton is just wrong ,morally and financially, and they will never attend.
That also goes for the stadium in "the Coventry area", no one will go apart from those who attend sixfields, .
SISU have totally lost the majority of the fan base forever, they will never be forgiven for how they have treated the fans.
Build the stadium and they will not come ,that is a given
Legoland will stand as a monument for everything that is wrong in how to conduct business, and more importantly how to treat your potential customers.
It will stand mostly empty ,and impossible to sell ,as it will always be associated with SISU ,full stop
The biggest loss making stadium in the history of British football and if SISU do not realise this they are truly incompetent beyond belief

I bet they fucking would!

Nick that is not the point and you know it.
Fuck me Maradonna was nobody once as was Messi there is a difference.
You will struggle with a team of nobodies most of he time.
Fisher said we are going for a title winning side and that Wilson is not for sale at any price that was only 3 weeks ago if it is not true then don't say it.

So why do people moan we replace players with nobodies, when most of our decent players were nobodies who they are then outraged they left.

I don't believe he said that.

A team of nobodies like Wilson and Moussa you mean?

Oh like Marlon some posters on here slagged him off for what he had done.

Then they expect forgiveness for going to sixfields.......

Marlons a c**t.

People going to sixfields don't require anybody's "forgiveness".

Though plenty more than happy to forgive King for beating up women as long as he scored a few goals, and even celebrate it.

To True I cheered every goal he scored.
If I had felt that strongly about him I would not have gone.
Just like I feel strongly about us playing at shitfields so I don't go, and who said they require forgiveness I just said they were cunts.
Even the ones who are my mates.

Funny you should say that lord because a few posters that have brought up that very argument then go and slate the Women who made a stand and stayed away from matches when he was here.

But hey double standards OK for some.
