like normal, sounds like it really is breaking news and it won't be.

@TheSimonGilbert: ACL has clarified what it believes needs to be done for Ricoh return - but I'm not sure it gets us any closer. Check @covtelegraph soon

Sounds like an entrenched stance to me. That's hardly going to push things forward.

yeah that and with the season starting in a month - ACL's way of showing an interest in a resolution further highlighting to the public that it is SISU who are still digging their heels in on a return?

perhaps our prayers are answered and the statement will tell us CCFC are going home??

As always it will change nothing. I don't want to hear from ACL or sisu till it's resolved.

If it doesn't resolve then I never want to hear from either again as it's just spin and lies and I could do without.

Doubtful. I would say more spin and bollocks as both sides are great at it when I only want to hear from either when a deal has been done.

Could it be a load of guff about wanting the club to return on the right terms, invitation to talk to Joy, call to call of appeal, put the past behind us etc etc etc

99% of the spin comes from SISU. Luckily the judges keep seeing through the scumbags' games.

Yes more is from sisu agreed. However unless it's ACL announcing ccfc are coming home then I don't really care what they say as it will be no different than ever before so ultimately pointless.

Tweets like this are designed to get us excited and reading rather than genuine optimism sadly.

So we can safely say that Michael had no such permission to offer a rental deal to SISU.

I reckon CCFC will start the season with a points deduction if this shit carries on . Pay the fuckin bill SISU and get round the table . FFS .

So they eill end up getting 890k then?

How on earth could Michael even try and get a deal done?

too bloody right

As with everything else involving our owners they are deliberately daring the football league and ACL to take action which would result in further litigation by them. The FL need to act decisively and strongly but it may ultimately mean the end of CCFC.What price Pressley saying enough is enough?

So that statement has clarified a few things. One for the FL to look into perhaps? Breath not being held here

Not sure why the FL who 'don't get involved in commercial disputes' did get involved and made this condition.

It would be interesting if Simon could get a line from ACL on the £300k they got from the guarantors.

Points deduction is inevitable and Coventry city playing in Coventry again will never happen.

The march on Saturday seems even more a pointless exercise.

The most depressing thing I have read and the headline should be. Coventry city officially dies in 2014. All hope and promise is gone.

Time to move on now.

So that's neither side now willing to talk to each other and our entire future now rests on the fact the football league will show they have a backbone.......

In the words of Private Frazer 'we're all doomed'

My thoughts exactly. It's just a bad joke now!

Not sure that all of a sudden the FL will jump just because ACL released a strong statement. SISU 'claim' the money is with the liquidator. If it's true then someone needs to come out and say if this is the case.

SG: Could you tell our readers more about the 300k already received by ACL
ACL: No.
SG: OK, thanks.

Can't say he didn't try....
