We're shagged then. How are we going to win games when we can't score goals. Even our manager thinks the strikers are a pile of pish! Come on Hoff, make it happen!

Has any chairman ever asked the fans to buy the players before? I've never known anything like it, is our ticket and shirt purchases along with refreshments not enough, doe's this mean he would step down and let us fans take charge? Nope, what a twat.

Much as I distrust our Chairman even in my most cynical I cannot give this story credence. On Saturday Dulieu stated that we were working on transfers/loans and he hoped to have a couple of new faces in before the end of the window - surely not even he could be such a bare faced liar? Maybe on Saturday he was misunderstood and he meant we were hoping to get a couple of loan players in for nothing and obviously not pay them either - must be some club willing to take us up on this generous offer.

I agree with you Duff that in reality we won't see anyone in unless they are free loan with the parent company subbing the wages 100%. I just find it incredible that in the afternoon he pronounces to the world that we are looking for new players and then in the evening tells some supporters if they want a new player buy him yourselves. Is he really that arrogant and ignorant?

I don't really thing the story is a starter. Unless big ken really is that bad of a liar.

If this is true then its the final nail in our coffin, no new players = not enough goals = relegation

History tells us that he is just that, a bare faced liar!

the interview i heard with Brody was recorded before kick off and he was saying he hopes to have 2 players in before the window closes but that he wasn't promising anything -

i wonder if the "you want players, buy them yourselves" is him chucking his rattle out the pram because of our protests on Saturday. He's a child!!!

IIRC, This is what Ken intimated whilst chatting with CWR on Saturday ie that fans help pay for players....it was put to him that one board member had suggested this, and he said it was an option they were considering.

I'm afriad the answer to this no, otherwise we would not be lossing money every week. :(

What is the Difference Between a Ken Dulieu, Paul Clouting, Sociopath, a Compulsive, a Pathological, a Chronic, and a Habitual Liar?

A Sociopath
A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused - it is done to get one's way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways (see, lovefraud, for more on sociopaths).
Compulsive Liar

A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (unlike sociopaths), rather they simply lie out of habit - an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship

at the end of the day who would own the player ..as third party ownership is banned in england ,so say we raise 250,000 for a player who turns out to be worth £2,000,000 do we reap the reward or sisu..i know the answer is sisu

on one hand i am amazed of what he said but on the other hand we all could c this happening. This has just made CCFC more of a joke well the bigger joke would be Sisu. how can they expect the fans to put there hands in their pocket to pay for players isn't that why we buy season tickets ect.
every day i wake up these past few days and there are more jokes coming out of the bare faced lairs even my nephew can tell the truth better than they can and he is only 2.

but i think every supporter knows whats going to happen they are going to sell everything that is worth money to CCFC and then do a runner and i have said for a while back that the reason way we haven't brought any out field players for is because we are under another transfer embargo.

There could be a way around this.
If a new fund was set up with those 250.000, the money can be channelled to the club as a loan. The loan should carry an interest of e.g. 10% p.a. The loan should have no periodic installments but should be repaid in full at the date the players original contract runs out.
I am sure a half decent lawyer can get the wording in the loan contract right to avoid conflicts with the third party ownership regulation.

The money could come from supporters as well as investors.

Oh and profit on the sale of the player excluding the interest paid on the loan would go into the club coffers.

Why is this article treated as CovMad bullshit.

I read on here last week that Brinner was phoned outdide SISU's offices on his mobile by the elusive Mr Brody.

He intimated that maybe, if the current board were to guarantee to ring-fence any funds donated by the fans, would we, as fans

condider that a good idea?

I don't think it is BS - I find it very likely the board are looking in all corners for money to stabilize the club - including funds for player trading.
It is being rediculed, but personally I applaud the board for trying to think out of the box.

I do admit, however, that this contradicts Ken Dullieu's pre-match statement in which he said that they expect to get 1 or 2 new

players before end of transfer window.

Maybe the statement was based on the proviso that the fans actually cough up!!

Or maybe they really do try to get some loan players from PL and really have the wages from King, Westie and Gunnar to spend.

so they want the fans to pay for players after paying for tickets, replica kits etc, programs, transport to and from the ground, food and drink(which the club dont get a penny for !!!) and who is going to pay there wages, are we ment to have a direct debit each month from our accounts for this to ?:jerkit::jerkit: why we are at it let us know what the rent is for the training ground, and stadium and perhaps we can pay for that to ? what would happen to all the profit? if and when they sold a player would it be a undisclosed fee again another way of hiding the truth from the fans and taking more money from the club again ~!!! SISU own the club they are ment to invest give the fans a product they want to buy and thats how they get there profit !! not lie to them give bullshit answers for year on year and run the club into the ground by selling eveything and evryone and then turn round and say 'ok fans we have no money but we want you to pay for everything now why we take the profit' !! no fecking chance

Anyone else seen our Man-tan of the People driving round in his new motor this week? Given he’s only in the UK for a maximum of 90 days each year do we know why the club are paying for him to have a Jag XJL?

Rather than telling us to pay to sign new players, how about you spend what we’ve already given a little more wisely Ken!

The Cov Telegraph should ask Ken & his co-directors what their renumeration packages are, they will get the brush off but it would be interesting to see how they cope with that line of questioning.

How do you know the club paid for it?

Oh I am 100% serious.
We have used up all the conventional options over the last decade ... and that brought us here. Time to be creative to get us forward again.
Maybe this idea won't stick, but without trying something new we will only look down.

And btw - in the absence of a sugar daddy, the fans are the only ones left to pay the bills. Any business depends on customers to pay the bills.
