when will coventry supporters realise that going to northampton can kill the club.it will certainly cost us many young fans who will follow other clubs instead
stand up and be counted a total boycott may just get us back in cov.it may even give a boost to forced negotiations

I think that almost all supporters, those that go to Sixfields and those that do not recognise that being in Northampton is killing and will kill the club. We just see different ways of responding to the threat.

The fans have Hobson's choice on this, they can only protest or act as the feel fit.

They don't give a shit whether you go or not. Protesting has got us nowhere. You say a total boycott may just get us back in Cov, What if it dont? Boycotting is loading the club with more debt and makes up less appealing to buy. They want their money back or most of it and to do that they need a stadium and will get their return in the long term. IMO the longer you stay away, the longer SISU will be in control

It's nigh on a total boycott already. 80-90% has made little difference so far. No suggestion that a 100% boycott would either.

As many keep pointing out, these are not normal business people.

Who cares? If they go it's their choice. Personally, I don't go but people who do go don't bother me.

Negotiations will happen when the parties decide to do something about it. Not because people did or didn't go to Sixfields.

I've heard on good authority that negotiations were almost started last night but we were 3 people over the magic attendance number so they are on hold again.

I heard 2 burgers over the limit were sold in the ground last night, so SISU are happy to continue at Northampton whilst they are gaining the critical crisp and pop money

Was that a sky blue John exclusive?

If you go to Northampton you are backing SISU so you are helping to kill our club.

If you don't go to Northampton you are withholding funds for our club so are helping to kill our club.

Just do what you want as whatever you do some will find fault with it.

To be honest they must be loosing money hand over fist ...the last 2 matches have cost me £11 each time for an adult and a 16 year old..it is so cheap

Certainly less people going makes the current position even less sustainable.
In respect of the law of diminishing returns:
That is obvious.

A total boycott shouldn't have been beyond the ken of the tiny minority (at least for one match) but then neither is it surprising that Cov fans won't act in unison.
I've only ever seen it in 67 and 87 .......
The view "it wouldn't make any difference" is both defeatist and short sighted.

Properly organised it would, at the very least, concentrate the lazy minds of the media.

I saw a 3663 truck outside the Ricoh last night obviously delivering Food stuffs in. HAS TO BE for the stalls for us so WE MUST be going back to the Ricoh. All the first teamers dad's have said so anyway.

the interesting point is while the club is "dying" how the hell are we signing players like jackson johnson and pugh they are funding something somewhere or we wouldn't be able to attract these players.

i personally dont think the club is dying its in a very dark place but long term we will come through this dark period of our history

Wilson and Arsenal money. If we're relying on that every year then we most certainly are dying.

How many fans do you think we will be able to attract after 5 years in Northampton?

how is anyone ment to answer that question we could all be dead in another 4 years its a long time and anything could happen. with 4 perfect seasons you could go from league 1 to champions league (thats simple facts not a prediction before i get a huge amount of abuse for suggesting sisu are taking cov to the champions league)

A total boycott is about as likely as a campaign to put pressure on ACL demanding a good deal for the club.

Possibility rather than facts.

How long Sisu are in control is down to Joy Seppala and no one else. As is how much debt we are left in to some extent.

Going or not going is a personal choice based on your own beliefs and nothing more. Neither action will impact long term.

I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference if people go or not but don't lose sleep if others think otherwise. Personally though I feel that the last thing that people should do is judge others for their actions or opinions as none are any more valid than anyone else's.

Refreshing to read that Shmmeee. Some insight on a usually polarised situation.
