People haven't been able to get through on the phone or ticketing web-site. It seems the only way to buy a ticket has been to queue up at Gallagher Retail Store - where at times only 1 person was on the desk dealing with both season ticket renewals and general sales. Because of time constraints when I went over on Tuesday, I had to make a second visit on Wednesday! I shan't be doing that again as it's over an hour round trip for me plus queuing time, the club need to sort the logistics if they want to benefit from the current goodwill of fans.

Not true at all. You can log on and buy tickets without a problem at all. I chose to collect mine from the store and when I did there were about 5 people in the queue. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it's just a case of the fair weather 'fans' not bothering due to price or whatever else!

With some 'die hard City fans' though, you could give away free tickets and they'd still have excuses why they can't go.
I couldnt be arsed to queue so I'll just pay cash tomorrow : £2 v a bloody long queue or messing about on a website! Agree though tomorrow they should drop the £2 matchday charge : I would have purchased early but they have made so difficult I haven't. First Saturday game and will be great to get back into Sat 3pm routine : meet in pub @ 1pm

Got my ticket online in 2 minutes. Tickets arrived to Blackpool within two days. Just as easy as it used to be. I appreciate some prefer physically buying at shop though.

Surely that's 2,500 over and above the season ticket contingent of say 4,000. Even still that is a pathetic crowd at this stage!
On one hand, it really riles me with the bandwagoners who all pretend to be city fans for special one off occasions such as last Friday, Crewe, arsenal away etc. half of these fuckers posting selfies on Facebook won't set foot in the stadium again this season unless we need a win for the play offs or get through to the JPT area final again when they'll all be scrambling around for a ticket to get to Wembley!
On the other hand, the availability and accessibility of ticketing is a disgrace. Yes they have had the initial rush and fair play to them for selling out the ground for gillingham but why, 3 weeks later are people still struggling to get through? Why are season tickets not yet issued? Why should we have to go to them to collect? Someone higher up the line needs shooting because it is now beyond embarrassing, even more so taking into account the figures stayed by Grendel above.
They initially told me I couldn't sit in the north stand, so moved to the south stand. I was then told that I couldn't sit there so moved to block 17 in the easy stand. They now tell me my seat in the north stand is available and sent me a receipt transferring back tou original position. Had a missed call on Monday but haven't been able to get through to confirm ever since!
Reduced ticket prices would've seen the gates rise dramatically despite the hoo-hah to get a ticket. Back to nothek tomorrow then...i thought the wave of enthusiasm would least for a few games at least!! Saying that, I'll gladly wait in the beer queue for 2 minutes as opposed to the 20 last weekend now that the once a season brigade aren't in attendance!

A Liverpool spokesman was on the radio talking about their sale of £50k's worth of Balotelli shirts in 24 hours. He said more than anything it was due to anticipating the demand and having systems in place to cope with it. He said when opportunities arise you have to capitalise on them, which is something we certainly haven't done. We have seriously cocked up ticket sales in the last two weeks, and even with minimal sales for Yeovil people are still turning up at the shop and facing queues. Buying tickets should be easy and coupled with paying £2 more on match day you can see why the occassional supporter won't be bothered.

Simple soloution just make match day tickets 18 quid tickets max. 24 quid is just to steep for alot of people with kids going aswell.and before you say get a season ticket alot of people cant afford that outlay in one hit. They have missed a trick with the prices.if they haf kept them lowish it would have built some bridges with fans and kept them coming week after week.simple drop the price!

Rubbish, people still managed to buy / sell 30000 tickets for the Gillingham game. The problem is that the demand isn't there.

Unfortunately alot of fans will now have moved on from CCFC. My facebook was covered in people who support other clubs up at the Ricoh on Friday. They aren't going to go back up.

Sad if true. I don't buy the not been able to buy line. Like others have said, 2 minutes online and 2 days later they were on my door mat.
SISU clearly have a lot of bridges to rebuild with the fan's and I think tickets doubling in price the minute we got back can be considered bridge building.

27,000 tickets........which we struggled to buy. The demand is much lower but we are still not finding it easy to buy them.
When was the last time that we ever had problems buying tickets when the demand wasn't massive? This looks like an average attendance. How many ticket sales will they have lost by not having enough staff dealing with ticket sales?

I have been up 3 times to eventually get my tickets. On each occasion the queue was into the middle of the shop and an hour wait.

not withstanding.. tickets were not able to be added to basket yesterday on website- despite having customer number, a point I became frustrated with, upon attending the Gallacher store at circa 4pm 11/9/2014- I was met by a queue circa 1 and a half hours in duration, as advised, so I politely declined- was also advised phone lines were "down" by the gent who greeted me at the door of the store along with an acknowledgement that the website was in error.
This morning the website seems to be OK as our tickets are purchased and reserved for collection- I anticipate that a 'collection line' is established at the store.. to expedite throughput.

I predict a crowd of 13,500 for this game, on the basis that of the 7 of us at Gillingham only 3 of us will be at this game. Varied reasons for the others not being there.
