We'd do better if we were in Nottingham.
The blaze do OK with their limited capacity but Cov Rugby should be getting 3 times that for a City the size of Coventry.

It's fine getting rid of Sisu, but to replace them with who exactly?
Number one priority surely has to be City staying at the Ricoh and us getting the product right on the pitch. That includes fans coming through the turnstiles and filling the stadium.
We have success, then CCFC will be much more viable and everyone wanting rid of Sisu will most probably get their wish.

To be fair a Rochdale fan sympathised the other day . He said he felt sorry that for the last 50 years we have had 35 in the top flight and 13 in the second tier.
He was wondering where it all went wrong for us.

And a city the size of Coventry should have a rugby team that is at least Championship level. Its a two way thing. The rugby club has also been poorly managed, through no fault of the fans. When they are the best supported team in the division then you cant ask anymore of the supporters.

Who is making excuses? Are people not exercising freedom of choice around, lack of success, lack of entertainment and lack of direction and commitment from the owners. For some, other commitments and/or finances dictate. But even when the fans do turn out the likes of you and Andreas slag them off anyway as glory hunters.
Let's face it Grendel on the 100,000 pound you earn a year, 20-25 pounds on home games is no commitment at all. You admit you don't go to hardly any away games. So the sacrifices financially you make, is minimal, yet you see it as a massive form of loyalty?

The main reason behind the trouble was one of the main sponsors went bust. Crowds had declined slightly in the same season which didn't help.
However due to the trust and respect that exists between the fans and management at the Blaze, when the chairman put out a statement saying the fans needed to help, they packed out the Skydome for the next few months.

Coventry has more established rugby clubs per square mile than most cities towns. The knock on effect is many are playing rugby on a Saturday and the ex players stay loyal to their own club on a Saturday afternoons. They are a network of little communities.
that comes from people I know have played rugby all their life. Several have said if Wasps come they would go and watch them, why? Because they plan to play their fixtures either Friday or Sunday.
Moving a teams location seems wrong to a football fan, it is apparently more common in rugby circles.

Most people don't if it doesn't effect them....
For all the leaflets (fix Football) and things we did we had plenty of sympathy at that moment from opposition fans but as soon as the game started they really never gave a fuck.

tbf that's the hurdle we all need to find a way to get over in football as a whole. Nowt wrong in being tribal when it comes to the games, but we need to learn if we don't work together outside of the matches there won't be any games to get tribal over!

The problem with that in football is the teams at the top think they will be there forever and therefore don't worry about the lower leagues. Imagine trying to persuade a Chelsea fan that they should get less TV money to help out Accrington. They response would be why should we help? Nothing to do with us.
I'm sure we were the same when we were in the prem.

Sorry if this has been pointed out already but we were getting 10-11k in League One at the Ricoh in 2012/13, so it's not like we're down on the previous marker. Relegation season in the Championship and we had £15k average.
If you want to look at why crowds aren't higher, look no further than our vile owners who have totally alienated the fan base. Hard to get a city excited when there is such a bunch of scum running the club.

I still maintain however that the feel good factor of us coming home after all the pleading and begging, would have resulted in more interest than just that first game back.
Was said then by many that the Yeovil crowd was down because it was two games in a week. Well on Saturday it was 2 weeks and the crowd was even lower.
I do expect crowds to fall when we're not doing well, that is natural, but we were so desperate to get the team home, so it has been rather embarrassing to see the attendance tail off so, so quickly.
The performance against Gillingham was not exactly exciting was it? Yes, it was good enough to give us a win but did not fill those of us there with the feeling that that was the start of something special. Until the team produce performances filled with excitement then attendances will continue to fall I'm afraid.

I am one of about 8,000 supporters who didn't give a fuck about the policies until they took us to Northampton.
We will be there through thick and thin unfortunately as Ian said on the Radio on Saturday it is an entertainment business if you do not entertain most won't go.
Ian is one of the 8,000, Ian is also one of the 1500 who went to sixfields.
And before you all start ranting it has fuck all to do with being a super fan it is about being a Cov fan and a stupid one at that for paying to watch that shit.
Give the people what they want (A good entertaining side) and they will be back Just don't leave it to late.
