Gets goals I know that! Off wiki

On 21 April 2011, McDonald was
named the ESPN PFA Fans' Player of the Year for
the Football League Two.[15] McDonald also won
Gillingham's Player of the Year, Player's Player of
the Year, Sponsor's Player of the Year and Goal of
the Season at the end of season awards
ceremony held on Sunday 8 May 2011.

Also he's 5ft 10 and score 25 in 41 games for gillingham.

just spoken to a guy at work who is a gills fan and he says that cody is awesome.... quite quick and knows where the back of the net is.... apparently plays best with a big man along side him (so parkin then) as he is a little bit light weight

Would rate him as good as Le Fondre who many were creaming themselves over - personally would rather have a Prem striker on loan eg: Cox or Bednar but I am sure SISU would rather have some assets to sell further down the road and loans are just dead money.

If thats the way SISU do things, KEEP JUKE..... If he continues to improve he will be a big player for us. Rather Juke than Parkin any day!!

I would have thought his brother Ronald was more in keeping with SISU's vision for the club.

At least Ronald Mcdonald might be cover for Clingan if he goes, I mean with feet that frikkin big he could cover a lot of ground

Parkin + McDonald upfront does sound quite nice...

It does indeed. Wasn't too chuffed about the prospect of Parkin coming here, but that was based upon him fitting in with our current squad. Parkin alongside a pacy goal getter is a different prospect entirely.

If you look at the goals he scored it is his big partner next to him supplying him.

Looks like a real goal poacher with pace and can use his head.

Could be a nice addition to the team.

But let's see who is leaving.

Clinigan going will be a massive blow.

kysports.com understands Coventry are poised to sign Norwich striker Cody McDonald.

Coventry are believed to have agreed a fee with Norwich for McDonald with the player travelling to the Ricoh Arena for talks and a medical.

Peterborough have also made a bid for McDonald, but Coventry now appear in pole position to land the 25-year-old.

McDonald impressed during a loan spell at Gillingham last season, scoring 25 goals in 41 League Two appearances and a number of clubs have been chasing his signature.

He is well down the pecking order at Norwich and Canaries boss Paul Lambert is willing to let him move on.

Coventry boss Andy Thorn is desperate to bolster his attacking options and he is hoping to strike a deal for McDonald before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm.

I would be happy with Cody and Parkin. Parkin may be a lump of a guy but he could hold the ball up like Juke does, who knows.

Clingan runs the midfield for us and we have no cover for him IMO, we would be better to get cover and keep so lets hope we get enough from a Juke and Turner deal!

who, Hitler?

He's a very determined quick little fella. When he was a sperm and made it to the egg, killing 40 million others he looked back and thought, “I can do better than that".

who, Hitler?
Not so good at defending though. Sometimes pulls out of tackles, he just doesn't seem to have the balls to go in two footed!

I'll believe it when I see it. Until then it's just another lie by Ken to appease the fans.

Ha ha ha, has Ken even actually said anything about this? I'm all for blaming Orange Ken for stuff but come on, how has the rumour of us signing Cody MacDonald turned into an anti Ken Dulieu sentence?

Then again, I still reckon Orange Ken is responsible for global warming, WW2 and the fact that those Feast Ice Creams are now smaller.

I just assume the rumour comes from within the club. In the same way Hoff tried to spin things in his favour.

Anyway, it's on the sky sports website that McD is on his way up for talks and a medical. So looks more likely.

As City fans we know to still expect to be let down though right?
