Righteous??? there is no righteousness in not allowing a person a second chance in life......check out that big book my friend.

How do you give someone a second chance when they refuse to acknowledge their guilt, and continue to attempt to blacken a girl's name?

Why would you even consider giving him a chance until all legal avenues he chose to explore had been exhausted, and he either proves to be one of the infinitesmally small proportion of people who are wrongly convicted, or he recants and acknowledges his failings after all.

Or would you rather be humbled in his presence?

Morals? My arse.

The fact that he continues to protest his innocence even after serving his sentence tells me something which you have quite obviously missed. On the subject of morality......get over yourself.....it was never right for a club calling itself Coventry City Football Club to be playing in bloody Northampton!!!!!

Point proved!

how ?

There is a difference between "not remembering" and "not knowing"

I dont know as I wasnt born. I could google, but thats not the point is it ?

and to be fair, if someone scored the goals to get us to prem league, you wouldnt need to remember them, you would walk past their statue on the way to the stadium !

Why am I mad......because I don't share the same views as you?

Because you have a very warped view of morality, where you appear to be keen to decide those going to watch a football match show dubious morals...
Utterly, utterly crazy.

Ah ok, so I have no right to discuss a major new story.

Where have I said she had no right to decide who she has sex with?

You call me a dinosaur, yet you seem to want to stifle debate. Why are you so scared to talk about something like this?

I'm not scared in the slightest, bring it fucking on. Where did I say you said that? You have though, implied that by going back to the room the only real conclusion is that she wanted sex. Ignoring the glaring facts that she did not go back to the room with Evans and that she can consent or not at any time no matter what room she is in.

You know I can see peoples point here what we do is close the academy and have our scouts who will from now on be known as probation officers based at Strangeways etc get a new team in no time sponsored by Care in thr community or Thugsrus

So if Ian Huntley was a professional footballer and was let out after 10 years of.a 20 year sentence you'd be ok if we signed him?

I asked "Is it so wrong to ask why she did that?"

You replied "Yes it is".

Sounds like your all for restricting what I can and cannot say on this subject to me.

She went back to the room with Clayton McDonald, whom she then made false allegations of rape against.

If, as a young lad, an attractive girl told you she was coming to your hotel room after a night out, what would you think? 99.9% of the male population would think their luck is in. The fact that men think in such a way is common knowledge. I find it strange that she didn't understand that.

Now I'm not suggesting for a second that she deserved what happened to her, and Evans most probably got the correct verdict. My only point is that she isn't exactly Snow White is she?

As I asked before, do you think it was wise of her to go back to the room?

That's FORTY pages of CCFC fans insulting one another over something that has not happened.

If it becomes fact which is highly unlikely given the potential wage involved, that would be the time
for this charade.

You do manage to spectacularly miss the point don't you. I don't care if 100% of men thought that and it is irrelevant that she understood it or not, she has the right to remain safe and free from abuse. Do I think it was wise? Why should it be wise or otherwise if our expectation is that the her rights and the law are observed. Bottom line (if you'll excuse the pun) is that I would not expect to be rogered while sleeping/incapacitated. No matter what room I'm in or who is in that room or what I had said or done beforehand! Can you not see that simple point? A line is crossed regardless of all other circumstances. Do you get that?

She isn't exsctly Snow White?

Are you saying that if a woman engages in casual sex we should be questioning her morals? What's wrong with a woman having casual sex if she pleases? This is 2014.

So how much do you pay a player that nobody wants??

Don't think he is in the market to ask for a large wage.

The word that is missing in all of this is RESPECT. Until today's generation (both male& female)
learn it these things will always happen.

Goalscorers of his calibre are in huge demand all over Europe, Some Club somewhere will cough up the "Ackers".

yer, that 1 goal he scored in the Premier League in 2008 will mean all the big boys will be after him

He has only scored just over double figures in the top 2 leagues in this county in his entire career.

he is hardly Luis Suarez

I think he should try somewhere on the other side of the planet .

Somewhere like Tazmania ,the original destination of the Chain Gang ,like the rest of that country about 40-50 years behind us In attitude .

Perfect fit !!!

In all seriousness, from his POV, you'd think going off and playing somewhere else in Europe for a couple of seasons would be worthwhile, let the storm here calm down.

Wouldn't be *as* much though.

Plus if he doesn't speak the language he might be able to convince himself they're all chanting *for* him!
