Who's Clarke (I presume it's not Jordan given he's still a Coventry contracted player? And really is that the best you can come up with? And are there any time constraints? You've included mcpake and Nimely that left ages ago?

I'm not sure what the requirements are here? If you're including Murphy whose contract ran down and left for a higher placed club then why not Westwood?

On current form I would choose the Chelsea team, as we didn't sign any of them.....is that how it works?

Cafu.....Beckenbauer....Baresi.....Brehme

Also players we didn't sign. Let me know if you want me to do some subs and/or a 'B' team.

And if you're including Nimely and Petrasso who were only loans, then why not Norwood, Bailey and Mcgoldrick who are better than nearly everyone in that team?

Nimley was available last week we should have snapped him up.
Just players that we could have feasibly afforded today Mcpake fits in that bracket.
Yes Jordan, possibly a weak link on the team. However he will be a good RB if he is allowed to play the position for a season. I would fancy that that team over our current first 11.

But we couldn't afford Murphy, unless he's rather be on half the wages huddlesfield currently pay him? We couldn't afford to continue paying baker the wages he was on here, I doubt we could afford Doyles either, not Cody's if he'd have stayed (gillingham pay him x3 less than we were). Mcpake wouldn't be for so your team would only have 10 men (plus he was poor), Clarke doesn't for your criteria, and I'm sure we could afford better than nimley. Interestingly he wasn't on port vales bench on Saturday.

Why have you picked that back four? Given the criteria you could have had Keogh Turner Dann Fox who have all moved on to play at a higher level.,have then playing in front of Westwood and I'd be lot more confident than I am now!

You'd take McDonald over Wilson? I'd even take Juke over McDonald, he might not be banging in hundreds of goals but he's playing in the PL which is a lot better than most thought would happen when he left.

I'm not sure on his criteria, I think he means players we've willingly released/terminated contract or either players we could have signed but didn't for one reason or another.

No players we realistically could have held onto or resigned

Surely this a round about way of Dongo getting on his knees and proceeding to polish Cody McDonalds shaft with his throat again.

If we're going back in time for this kind of thing (and yes I do know this is a 'fucking SISU' thread), mine would be:

Kirkland

Danny Thomas - Callum Davenport - Gary Gillespie - Stuart Pearce

John Beck - Barry Powell - LLoyd McGrath

Ian Wallace - John Aloisi - Cedric Roussel

Even by dongonzales standards this is the most ludicros, unrealistic, myopic bullshit thread ignoring any financial realism to date!!!

WE COULD NOT HAVE KEPT HOLD OF MOST OF THESE FOR WAGES WANTING TO BETTER THEMSELVES....etc.....please close this thread!!
