Dressing rooms not a drama (2 Viewers)

Pressley is also looking forward to inspecting the new changing rooms which are being fitted out this week.

“I’m quite excited by seeing the dressing rooms,” he said; “it will be nice to get our own changing facilities because before the room was used by others and we were never really able to personalise it.

“Now we’re going to have our own dressing room that we can tailor with iconic images of the past like the Cup Final and the Jimmy Hill era and all the times of inspiration which will help to give us an upbeat mood.

“It will feel like home after a few games there and it will be solely for Coventry City, and that’s a great thing. It will feel more like our own dressing room than the one we had before, and hopefully it will have the desired impact on the players and create a positive environment.”

What do you expect him to say? He has no say in the matter, his only option is to try and put a positive spin on it.

Maybe its just what he thinks. After all he didn't have to say anything?

Spot on, he says that the new dressing room will be better than what they were used to, and even seems to criticise the old dressing room by suggesting that it never felt like theirs anyway because it was used by other teams and they couldn't personalise it.

Depends if he was prompted or not. If he's asked what he thinks of the dressing room situation he's not likely to start having a pop at Wasps is he? Don't think the dressing room itself will be an issue, assuming its of a decent standard, not being able to use the warm up area is a bigger downside.

Sounds OK to me. Funny though ain't it. He sends out an email to fans and it's jumped on with "Waggot wrote it", "Desperate PR from SISU", but he says something positive over the dressing room and all is fine.

From memory those pictures from the old dressing room didn't show any evidence of our presence apart from a few Sky blue tiles scattered on the wall .

It also only appeared to be a meter or two narrower .

It really shouldn't and am sure will not prove too difficult to personalise It to our Brand /History etc .

Pictures / Graphics / Slogans etc are very easily produced at not a lot of expense ,so It should prove to be positive which I think he's reflecting .

It might well be OK with SP, but it still pisses me off hugely. This should be our stadium, not theirs.

Regardless of blame, getting kicked out of the dressing room and having Wasps logos all over the place doesn't feel right to me.

I'm so excited & really looking forward to driving my 2nd hand 56 plate ford focus as its now personalised with my own air-freshener & CD collection......

I don't miss the 64 plate Mercedes E-class coupe company car from my last job whatsoever......it never felt like it was really mine....

Disclaimer: I don't actually own a 2nd hand ford focus & my last company car was in 2006 & was a ford mundaneo

From what he's saying one room is now just for Wasps (which used to be our room) and another room is just for us (the new one) and then there's a neutral away room. Won't they need to add a second neutral room for use at other events. Wasn't that the whole point of not having our branding all over the place?

Eastwood and his cronies must be pissing themselves laughing at how easily some of our fans are appeased. Let's hope we see some substance behind the new ground sooner rather than later.

Similar to SISU pissing themselves that some of our fans believe them when they say the new ground is the solution

Not nearly as much as SISU who are laughing at the people who Support them so easily with their "new stadium" somewhere nearby, at some future indeterminate time.

It does amuse me that when Pressley sends an e mail supporting the clubs ticket drive its a shoddy piece of marketing writing by faggot and wisher.

If he's praising wasps and justifying their strategy then it's clearly him and a ringing endorsement of their policy.

What a strange place this forum has become.

It's a horrible solution but it will be better than renting and playing in a Wasps branded stadium, at the moment them giving us the smaller dressing room and being told we can put up a few posters whilst the rest of the stadium has Wasps plastered everywhere is them being respectful.

just wait until a few years down the line when they are not so worried about being respectful and all the seats are ripped out and changed.

Anyway based on track record the new stadium will never be built but it would be better than playing in a black and gold stadium as second fiddle to Wasps.

How does the branding compare to this?

One thing further down the line I picked up ,possibly at the trust Q+A with Eastwood was the possibility of covering a percentage of the seats from the back .

Would Imagine that to be next season though as it would involve us making a change that couldn't be done mid season.

Can't disagree with this. I struggling with the thought of the seats changing to yellow and black which they will at some point in the future. Then, it'll truly hit home that a stadium built for us is owned by a f*&king rugby club.

It absolutely destroys me every time I look at the Ricoh with the Wasps signage on or an article about how they will become one of the top revenue teams, it's like a stake through the chest everytime and it doesn't get any easier knowing it should be ours.

Yet some on here just shrug their shoulders and don't seem to be bothered and a small few seem to be absolutely revelling in it.

As Pressley said after the Worcester match, there's people who it just doesn't mean enough to.

if the club have any sense our away kit next year will be yellow and black. Similarly, Wasps away kit could be sky blue. Half the seats could be Yellow and Black and the other half sky blue, with "Wasps" behind one goal, and "CCFC" behind the other.

Me too, and I will never, ever forgive SISU for pratting about when they could have bought the place for peanuts. Their idiotic posturing got exactly what it deserved but unfortunately they've dragged us down with them. We are where we are though and I'm quite convinced that our only future is as part of the Wasps group.

Agreed, that's the only kind of future that makes sense.

and the council who have been trying to kill us for a decade

that's right. For 10 years, the council have be desperate to kill of COVENTRY city Football Club.

So, those that vote for them were voting to kill off the club.

CCC are elected. There have been opportunities to vote them in the last 10 years has there not ?

If there was an opportunity to vote SISU out, I would hazard a guess at the outcome
