What is it actually for ? Surely no one goes there other than out of morbid curiosity . It has absolutely nothing to offer. I would like to know how much it costs to run it against the takings it makes.

They should turn it into a kind of CCFC pound shop where you can buy sellotape, pet food, screwdrivers, shampoo, bike tyres , nit combs, seeds, plant pots, pegs and other household items. All in sky blue.

I went to the JSB end of the Ricoh just befoe kick off where they have, quite literally, one table selling a few hats, scarves etc . I bought two car stickers and a badge. Came to just over a fiver. They must make more here than in a week at the club shop.

No one at the club has any imagination when it comes to making money, that's the problem.

We are run by people who's businesses make money not from selling a product/service, but by debt restructuring and interest from complex inter company loans.

They haven't a clue about the day to day running of a business.

It doesn't take a genius to do it, even if they don't have any idea themselves on the day to day running. Surely they can hire people with the expertise of running these sorta things on a daily basis. I can only assume they don't actually care about things like running the shop properly, either because they don't plan to be here for much longer (hopefully) or they just don't consider it to be worth their time.

Over Christmas they missed out on a trick.

Half the shop is closed off now anyway as it was just dead space. They need stock to sell things and make money.

The sort of old shite Poundland sells can be picked up for next to nothing. Shouldn't be difficult to find a someone in China to supply the same stuff but CCFC branded.

They could just go on alibaba and do it.

For example:

Set of rubbers (kids will have them)

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Custom-Shaped-Pencil-Eraser-Set_1425941779.html?s=p

Between 0.1 and 0.5 dollars. (32p)

Brand it up with a city badge, a football, sky blue sam, a city shirt (home and away) - Some nice packaging and sell it for £1.99 - If they dont sell, use it as prizes off sky blue sam, let sky blue sam take some to kids birthday parties....You could even make up CCFC party bags pre loaded with a pencil, rubber, skyu blue sam plastic figure and whats that, a special discount voucher to be used on a matchday ticket, but they have to go to the shop to redeem it. This shop will be full of great goodies to buy, the kid will obviously want a shirt to go to the game in, he will want his name on it too. ;)

Next One....

Air Freshener , again 32p each

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2014-Customized-Paper-Car-Air-Freshener_1570254576.html?s=p

City kid, nice packaging - £1.99 - £2.50 ish?

Cushions

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2015-new-product-custom-printed-Arsenal_60115640661.html?s=p

£1.61 each, sell them for £9.99

Obviously would need to check the quality of it, but if they were all branded up as official in the official club shop they could have made a killing at christmas!

If the logo wasn't copyrighted Id be tempted...

Then you have the shit like USB sticks, mouse mats and stuff people can use in the workplace and people will get as gifts because it is easy as they know you support city.

Oh and actual replica shirts....

I do wonder whether anyone in a senior position at the club has ever visited this shop , or know where it it.

In which case they will be worth a fortune in the future - as are Wimbledon's pre- MK move.

Isnt that putting it rather lightly, on the day where our CEO says.....

"we have to generate more revenue for the football club in order to pump more money back into the first team"

How can you say that when they offer wonderful products like this?

Everything at the club at the moment looks temporary, the season tickets, food sold at the ground, the players and this excuse of a shop. Lets hope it is. My missus went to the shop before xmas and was told due to a robbery a lot of stock is unavailable and won't be replaced before xmas, how long ago was that smash and grab ? Can't condone the robbery but wasn't it insured ?

Yes the same sort of financial meddling that caused the financial crisis of 2008 !
