Scunthorpe
Why not Yeovil?
Bizarre.
Wish we would just stick with flat back 4 and let him be a permanent right back

Don't understand why yeovil don't want him. I know he is crap but seems to have done well for them. I hope this means we don't get Martin as I rate Martin myself.

Why? Just so you can shout SISU OUT if we sign Martin?

No because I think Clarke could be a good right back when played in his favorite position. Martin hasn't done enough to warrant a permanent move imo.

Oh and SISU OUT!!!

I hope this doesn't jeopardise the Martin deal at our end. It seemed all the more simpler as a straight swap but now I worry if they will a) either want him back as they are a man down or b) command a fee as he is under contract.

Not bothered about Clarke going. I would much prefer Willis/Pennington/Phillips in this position every single time.

I'd be sad to see Jordan go. He holds a special place in my career. He was the 1st Sports Personality I have ever interviewed. If this is the end for him at City, I wish the best of luck to him

well mark robbins obviously rates him.. there was a time when he used to keep cryus out of the team so he cant be that bad

We're in talks with Martin according to Gary Johnson. He's also mentioned that Scunny have come into some money, so I reckon there'll be a nominal fee.

Hope we would see some money, as presumably if he went Yeovil it would be straight swap with Martin. So now if he isnt going there, we would have to find something to get Martin in. Unless we get REALLY lucky and Yeovil want to do a swap deal with Webster....

Not really a justified reason to keep him though eh ;) Or should we be hounding SP telling him he's got it wrong?

Youvhavent interviewed any of the rest of the squad have you? ;)

Surprised none of these Championship clubs who were clambering for his signature haven't snapped him up... almost as if there never were any. Clarke will never play any higher than what he does at the min - a lower end League 1 club. I look forward to seeing him losing concentration for Scunthorpe and gifting goals against them on the Football league show in the not too distant future.

taken from their board.....

re: Jordan Clarke
It appears the delay and the reason for only a part medical being done today is that he needs a few more days for a hamstring injury to completely clear up.

Over 5 seasons at the club, over 100 games, a few England U19/U20 games, seems to have got worse as he got older, a defender but not a centre half - not big enough, a full back but definitely not a wing back not effective going forward. Always seemed arrogant to me - if he was half as good as he thought he was he would be twice as good as he is. Played out of position by SP which can't have helped his career. Best of luck at Scunny but hardly a dream move
