Never that bad and deserved a crack in central midfield that wasn't forthcoming.

I'm one of the first to defend a player when he gets unfair stick i.e Clarke and Thomas but I've never seen anything from Daniel to say he will be anything more than a L2 player at his peak.

It's actually hard to think of an attribute he had, let alone one that made him stand out. Conference player at best.

He scored goals, something our present team cannot do.

3 goals, give him a 4 year contract I say.

Better yet let's give the rest of the forwards to County for free and make Daniels captain. Someone please tell me what they saw in him to make them think he could be good enough for this level?

Send fleck to county too. Because he contributes fuck all for us.

Not particularly, no. I read a stat yesterday that he has 0 assists and 0 goals in 13 games. Just because he is better than Thomas and Fleck at the moment doesn't mean he has done well, it means he looks better than another 2 who are not playing well.

He can still do a half decent job without getting bucket loads of assists and goals. You only have to look at Nemanja Matic at Chelsea to see that.

DANIELS' LEAGUE ONE SWAP
Notts County have signed 20-year-old striker Billy Daniels from fellow Sky Bet League One side Coventry City in an 18-month permanent deal for an undisclosed fee. ( AKA a chomp bar)

I dont rate him....but i bet he will end up with more goals than any one of our strikers by the end of the season.

Wow, some people REALLY seem to dislike him. Odd

Best of luck to him, never saw enough of him to really see if he was any good. Though its not like the crock of shite on the pitch in Monday night proved anything to us?

Agree, JD. The times I have seen him he's looked OK to me. Certainly better than Fleck and Thomas.

I think he's deserved a better chance with us, especially this season when Fleck/Thomas/Finch have been dire in midfield and Barton not brilliant. At least he looks to make forward runs and gets into goalscoring positions, probably a legacy of his youth team days as a forward? He really seemed to make an impact last year, but hasn't had a look in this season despite bagging some classy goals from midfield. Hasn't he got more CCFC goals in his career than Fleck, Thomas, Finch and Barton combined? Say no more...

EDIT: highlighted in bold the one reason why he wouldn't fit in under Pressley! Sit deep or forget it.

I know a lot of people don't rate him, but i think it's another example of Pressley's awful treatment of players freezing them out. How can you go from featuring regular one season (25 games last season in a better squad) to being completely frozen out, given how poor we've been. Notts County have even paid a transfer fee (undisclosed).

any way 4 down 3 to go...

I think this selling off players is what SP meant when he said
"We'll have to be very creative in the market to bring in what we need.

bizarrely that article on ccfc website is exactly 12 months old. 7 young sky blue stars, promising for the future now down to 3.

Ironically one of his worst performances in a City shirt came in the 3-0 defeat away at Notts County. He was subbed off at HT.

yep, but i cant see Notts County paying that much upfront, or that he's freed up much wages.

I think he was out of contract as well in the summer, wouldn't surprise me if its £0 and maybe a sell on fee or either a small fee after so many appearances/goals.

No he hasn't, Fleck has 4 goals, Thomas has 1 goal, Barton has 3 goals and Finch has none

I agree with you about getting forward, Pressley seemed to stamp that sorta of positive play pretty quickly after 3 goals in his first couple of appearances.

It seems that Derry has signed him to play striker so will be interesting to see how he gets on playing striker.

He will probably finish the season in double figures . SP wil bang on about the high press and pretencious crap about getting the correct blend of tactics and acquisitions- unable to realise that he can get neither right.

Scores on debut. You're a complete joke Pressley.

You have to say something is wrong here with the number of players who leave, particularly youngsters, having been written off as not up to standard and immediately start playing better and doing well for teams higher up the FL than us.
