Open Letter Issued
The SISU Out Group have issued an open letter to Tim Fisher
The letter reads as follows:

"Dear Tim
You may be aware that our group organised a protest at the match versus Swindon Town on Monday.

This protest was put in place to allow Coventry City fans to register their concern at the direction our football club is currently going in.

Despite the poor attendance on the night we felt that the protest was well supported and gave us encouragement to carry on hammering home our clear unequivocal message. The feedback we have received has been largely very positive.

The fact that the game was attended by a record low crowd in Coventry bears testimony to the dire situation the Sky Blues now find themselves in.

To be fair to you , the board of the football club and the owners we feel that you should at least have the opportunity to answer our key concerns before we continue the next phase of our plan of action.

With regard to the proposed new stadium we have made our position clear.
That being that the time has come, in fact is long overdue, for the football club to announce firm plans for a new stadium.

It is now at least 12 months , probably longer, since fans were promised an announcement on a new land deal.

For this information to still remain unforthcoming is unacceptable.

Coventry city fans need to know exactly what your plans are. If there are no actual plans in place, as recent information indicates, then we need to be told.

If as some current rumours circulating appear to show there are plans but for a stadium to be built outside of the City of Coventry then again we need to know now that this is the case.

We would warn however that a large number of city fans have already advised us in soundings we have taken that they will never accept Coventry City playing anywhere other than in the City of Coventry.

Therefore if this does form part of your strategy then we would advise you to have a massive rethink.

We have a number of other major concerns including a lack of investment in the playing squad , an inability to communicate with our supporters and also democratic representation of fans.

If the idea of supporter involvement on the clubs board is to be taken seriously we would advocate real fans chosen by actual club supporters ,not the club owners ,as a massive step forward.

We hope you recognise our genuine concerns as supporters of many years standing and look forward to an honest and unambiguous response at the earliest opportunity.

Please note this letter has been issued to media outlets,

Kind Regards

For the record, we all want these answers so i have no issue with the content (maybe how it was worded is a different issue) but do you really think that SISU will engage with a group called SISU Out!!

And haven't they called them scum too? Can't see them rushing to talk to someone as unprofessional as that.

Can you hear that? It's the sound of Tim's secretary ignoring your letter.

I think you may be getting the 'SISU out' group confused with the 'SISU Out' group. Or possibly the 'SISU OUT' group...

Why are the "SISU OUT" group anonymous? Not really something that goes down well with "media outlets"

Be you are the folks who so annoy Clive and Stuart by not putting your name on your texts.

The thing I hate most about all current protests is being so contrived – this Swindon one being a typical example.

It’s not just us (although many of our idiots get the wrong minute anyhow) but the whole thing is cringe-worthy in announcing what we should do and when. Spontaneous protests that evolve and people join in if it resonates with them are far more effective, far more passionate and I’m much more likely to take part. If you compare recent efforts with eg those at the Derby game or the old Highfield Road ones on top of the low level boxes in front ofthe main stand, the difference is so apparent.

I guess it’s just yet another thing that dinosaurs like me dislike about the modern game that is being systematically spoilt.

For the same reason you and me are anonymous on this bulletin board.
Can't be bothered to take the flack from fellow fans who in the majority are in agreement with them.

People here aren't generally trying to get their threads and posts in mainstream media though.

A little amateurish but their hearts are in the right place.

We do need a body to pull our fans together in a common goal but as seen from this thread and other SBT threads it's a thankless task.

That's the job of the SB Trust.....in fact, since the divisive sixfields move, it should have been their primary objective.....

....actually turn the squirrel knitting circle into a 5000+ strong fans movement.....

....never mind.

It's very important not to confuse this SISU out group with other similarly named SISU out groups.

This particular Sisu out group, actually wants to work with Sisu in the future, they have a very unique and forward thinking idea ,which is working closely with SISU to remove SISU from power ,which defines them very different from other SISU out groups, so being a bit pedantic I would advise them to rename themselves

'SISU out' sometime in the future group

I have said a fair few times the aim should be to get everybody together because of their love for CCFC rather than hate of CCC / SISU/ AL / TF etc etc. It doesn't get many "sisu hate points" though so gets ignored.

yep - definately saw them "agitating" on Monday night.
Actually you are wrong yet again as the people behind this are not even trust members just Coventry City fans and mostly season ticket holders.

Then again blame the trust as they are the root to all evil and not even CCFC fans they are getting used to being blamed for everything so another accusation shouldn't hurt.

So you know who they are then?

Can they get me a good price on sisu out balloons or a free ticket to wasps?

But it is entirely reasonable to seek clarity on the location of this stadium is it not and it is true isn't it that a lot of fans have said they don't want a new stadium out of Coventry and of those a percentage have said they wouldn't go if one was built outside Coventry (I make no assumption of what that percentage is).

It is also clear that if the club misjudge the mood and likely response of the fans, their customers (like they did upon moving to Northampton) and build a stadium that is in the wrong place and is poorly attended then they could end up with an expensive white elephant on their hands.

Fair play to them. At least they recognize that SISU are the clubs custodians and therefore responsible for a way forward.

A pointless comparison you thicko - these people are supposed to be representing fans, is it one person or 10 or 50? Who is going to speak to the "media outlets" then? A figure in shadow with a disguised voice??
