We are in such a sorry state on the pitch that it is serving to distract everyone from the shit that is happening off it!

Pressley has got to go. I've just had enough of him now. He didn't deserve that 4 year deal he got (what Idiot made that decision?). If the club had any sense, they'd bring back Mark Robins and give him a small transfer budget, he works wonders at every club he goes to.

Extremely unhappy fans to be expected. Deal with criticism but will continue to put things right at this football club

I'm sorry but what does he mean here? Continue to put things right at the football club?! What has he ever done right? There is no way back for him now. Disgrace to the profession of football management.

I hope he does read this and particularly this post.... Clive, you and Linnell are almost as shit a commentary team as Pressley and Karl Pilkington are as a management duo. I cannot wait until the day that you both fuck off and we no longer have to hear you getting a hard on each time we get a throw in within the opposition half. Get your geriatric cocks out of Pressley and Fisher's backsides and tell it how it really is. Whenever I listen to views on other local stations after away games that is exactly what they do. Perhaps you should take note you boring bastards.

Wo was that mad Brummie that they used to have doing the post-match on WM? Always used to tell it as it was. He'd be good for us.

That's pretty much what I've always thought that a good manager does! Even a decent manager can organise and motivate to a certain extent. I think Pressley came in with the shouty approach, it worked for a bit as the players did need a kick up the arse and he had some quality players still, but that can only get a response and paper over tactical failings for so long.

It didn't work at first though. We were awful when Pressley first came in. It was only when Clarke, Wilson, Moussa and Baker all started scoring that we did well, and even then that only last 3 or so months.

Look at Robins at Scunthorpe too.

It is all well and good people going on about investment etc but surely the best managers get the best out of the team they have with the best system to suit the players?

Exactly. Rowett at Birmingham, Robins wherever he has gone, Pardew at Palace, Eddie Howe at Bournemouth. It's all about picking the right manager who has been there and done it. All Pressley is is a nodding dog who doesn't have the bollocks to say anything to Scrotium. He knows he will struggle to get such an opportunity elsewhere. The mistakes he has made this season are amateurish and unforgivable. The players must be laughing their tits off at him behind his back.

You would think SISU would want somebody who could get results on no budget though, best of both worlds then isn't it?

I fear no break clause has been put into Pressley's contract and the prospect of a 3.5 year pay-off is a bigger factor.

I have tried to back Pressley's vision but it just ain't happening.

As the late great Owen Hart used to say "enough is enough and it's time for a change"

It's the pitch that matters.
That's the kind of approach that gets clubs like us into this state in in the first place imo. It's like Old (& some would argue New) Labour...throw enough money at it & make enough changes to it & eventually you'll find the winning formula...but go bust in the process.

Tony on yer bike Butler

That's the fella. "On yer boike!" Would love that kinda attitude on CWR. You get a glimpse of it when Benno loses his rag, but he tends to get reduced to exasperated gasping.

Just remind me why we let McDonald go ?

Pretty much everyone on here thought he was useless and good riddance. I was one of the few dissenters.

The club is so deluded they have posted a score of 2-1 on their website report.

Typical of the incompetent tossers!

Frantic defending of Pressley by Eakin and Linnell now! It's obvious that Clive also reads on here and doesn't like the majority view of the manager.

CWR is awful now, I get the impression they are terrified of upsetting the powers that be and losing their privileged position of having exclusive media rights. Isn't it noticeable how Waggott and Fisher are only ever interviewed now prior to coming on air? They are NEVER available to take questions from callers, and the presenters rarely challenge the answers that are given to them.

When Geoff Foster started on there years ago (I think while Gurney was still commentating) I thought he was pretty good, he seemed to be fairly expressive, but now his line of questioning is laughable. I'm expecting him at some point to ask Pressley what his favourite colour is. He seems petrified to ask him anything slightly challenging.

Eakin and Linnell clearly don't like the growing anti-Pressley opinion, and Eakin drives me mad when he constantly interrupts a caller and then has a go back when they try and do the same in reply. Some of the things I've read in this thread (that were said by the two of them) after the game today were ridiculous.

I quite like Geoff and Clive on commentary, maybe just because they've been doing it for so long. Although Geoff seems to have been ditched to cover Wasps. Maybe they need to get let them just do the match and get someone else in to do the after match stuff.
