I could never support another club myself but know many who do some secretly and some openly.
The thought fills me with dread to be honest but I was asked recently have I another club I like ?
The answer I gave was a firm none, but if pushed I don't mind Fulham as they are in the shadow of their local rivals Chelsea who I dislike,and I went to Craven Cottage once in the 70's to watch us play and liked the ground and their friendly fans. Any other suggestions ?

I have always had a soft spot for both Burnley and Accrington. My Grandfather played for both teams at one time or another, but there would never be the same passion I have for CCFC.

I don't think I could bring myself to support another football club. I would most likely switch my attentions to Cov RFC and Coventry Blaze

If I wasn't a Sky Blue then my team would be Arsenal. BUT I'm a Sky Blue through and through. Nothing will ever change that.

i have had a soft spot for a few teams, but I don't think I could ever support any of them.

If City folded and I went to live elswhere I might follow a local team then perhaps, but I think that would be the only circumstance of that happening I think.

If City folded and I was still here I would take more interest in all our local clubs.

Nothing wrong I guess having a soft spot for another team but when I'm out and about and see people wearing shirts of other clubs and not the City it pisses me off.

I moved here about 5 years ago and now I follow my local team (Newport IW) and go to every home match. They're in the Wessex League and I've seen some great footie. But of course, I still follow my home club CCFC and am still passionate about them. (although that passion has waned somewhat over the last few years :()

I'm like ajsccfc the way football has gone recently and the state of my club ccfc, I can quite easily take it or leave it.

Not at the moment BBR! We've had a really bad run lately! Our top striker has buggered off down under for six weeks! We're really struggling at the moment! But if it ever happened I'd pay a small fortune to watch that match! (Newport once played Portsmouth in a pre-season friendly a few years ago. Not quite the same I know, but it was at a time when Pompey were a really good side!) Maybe arrange for a friendly? Kill two birds with one stone? A nice weekend on the Isle of Wight and a game of footie thrown in! **Note to Pressley!** :claping hands:

I like some of the London clubs having some connections down there... Arsenal, Palace and particularly Orient but could never really support them.

Us City fans all twenty of us would be in the Newport ground being out sung by the home fans shouting "UP THE PORT " By the way did you know Brendan Rodgers the Liverpool boss played for your local team ?

I think I could too. I don't watch premiership or England games and would probably just watch when the lower leagues or Scottish games are shown on Sky. Would visit a few lower league grounds with my lad to watch the odd game if City went down the tubes.

Only ever been a supporter of CCFC, I lived in Swansea for a while and I look out for their results. If CCFC folded I would probably look to supporting CRFC and Cov blaze....... sort of diversify my professional sport watching. I have no interest in Cov Utd or Cov Sphinx

What does come first in any case and is far more enjoyable for me is watching my lad play his football ....... plenty of skill, passion, effort, commitment, excitement...... all the things CCFC used to have before they went to playing sterile football

Rugby Town. I go and watch them from time to time but not as much as The Sky Blues. I have given up on the England national team though. It once ruined my holiday in Falaraki in my youth when England got knocked out the world cup 5 days into a 2 week holiday (fucking Becks getting sent off against the Argies) but these days I couldn't give a flying one over England results because of the bunch and overpaid, overrated pre Madonnas that pull the shirt on.

don't think i could ever support another team but i do always look out for Southamptons results because i used to see them as a team similar to ours when we was in the premier league and the old first division...oh and always coz they escaped the clutches of the evil witch seppala and her two ugly sisters waggot and fisher :)

I would jack it in completely, i'm nearly their to be quite honest. I would then support Man Utd from my armchair like most of their fans. I have always enjoyed watching united ever since the squad of 92 became successful, I know most people hate them but is only down to their success, I suppose its a bit like I cant stand Chelsea or Man City now.

Its bad enough dragging my backside off to Ricoh at the minute and that's to support the club I love, you have got no chance of me going anywhere else if I don't need to.

It's a question i often think long and hard about as i often wonder if we will still be in existence in the mid-term future. Having always lived in Stratford i don't have the whole 'i support every club from Coventry' mentality and i have no interest in Rugby as a sport whatsoever. I've always considered myself to support my local team. If i was to want to watch local football of a decentish standard it would have to be Blues, Villa or Baggies of which i don't think i could ever do (despite the fact 90% of my mates are villa fans, it would make everything a lot easier for me). I go to a Barcelona game every season but i dont count that in the same way but my best mate is an Arsenal fan and i sample the joys of Premier League away games with him a couple of times a season, so i think would have to be the Arsenal. Play football in the right way, lovely ground, best mate supports them and i've been to plenty of games as it is. It would NEVER feel like a City game but i couldn't give up on supporting a football team altogether. I just hope to God it never gets that far!

Kettering Town. Used to go and watch when I couldn't get to Cov (lived there from the age of 9 -19). They are top of their league too, so chance to glory hunt! They have also been shaftd by a dupicitous council and a shite owner, and left the Borough for a short time. The fans saved them and now own the club (well, a relatively wealthy one does I think).

A Villa supporting (season ticket holder) mate of mine is thinking of following them again a bit more due to Villa being shiiiiiite (his words).

Nothing will ever replace Cov though

Moved to Bournemouth 14 years ago, and used to go and watch them when they were bottom of league 2. But once I was old enough to travel to Cov on my own, I haven't been since apart from when we played em and won 2-0 :D

But I'd probably casually watch them, but nothing will ever replace the original CCFC. Would definitely support an AFC CCFC, but depends how it's run/set up.
