Before Christmas SP seemed to believe he would be bringing in players in this window, small fees were even mentioned. All of a sudden no players in, no money, not even for wages it seems, and apart from that bloody stupid 'way forward' nonsense, deathly silence. So what's changed? Is the end (liquidation) approaching? Surely its either that or SP's end is approaching. Are they waiting for the Maddison windfall with one hand on the plug?

My thoughts this morning, although didn't something similar happen with Robins and then Huddersfield shown an interest and the rest is history ( not saying someone is looking to poach SP) but he could not get out fast enough once he was told he had to cost cut going forward.

I hope so but unfortunately I've thought this bit of bad news might actually be good news and sisu is close to leaving on about 10 occasions already and each time, nope it was just bad news with more bad news to follow. One day it will end. Lets hope we still have a club and some fans that care about it whenever that is.

I feel the same, so desperate for change now that almost anything, even oblivion would be better than this. It would be rather like lancing a large boil - messy and unpleasant but ultimately, a relief.

Depends what you class as investment - part of their calculation of the investment is the purchase price of the club - not sure how much that was but has nil impact on what we see on the pitch, whilst they may have made operational losses, they failed to appoint the right management, scored a huge own goal with Northampton and been unable to turn the club around. They are clueless about growing turnover but better at cutting costs problem is revenue is falling faster than the costs hence even more losses.

We all agree that Joy is the boss. Irrespective of what SISU have done with CCFC most would consider that Joy is a savvy commercial operator, does she honestly believe that she can turn the club around, does she feel that through court cases that this will happen or is she aware that its a lost case but protecting her reputation by keeping the thing going and thus avoiding the embarrassment of a major write off / stain on her business career.

Unfortunately they ain't going anywhere.

Sure but thats what I mean, in the list of why Sisu are disgraceful, incompetent, immoral and unsuitable owners and the reasons for us wanting them to leave, the amount they have spent over the years doesn't even make the top ten list. Franchising is fine, especially if it is for business reasons. A club can give out free tickets to the locals to poach their fans. We won't need to worry about the current fans because we can just recruit from the local area.

Ok, maybe wrong analogy....but if you want people to watch, and pay good money, you have to put a decent product there for them to actually watch. You don't have to be in MENSA. to see SISU/Otium are putting out s**t and expecting the likes of you and me to pay through the nose for it. If you're happy watching S**te week in and week out and paying £20+ for the priviledge then by all means do it. Just don't expect others to do what you do. We are all born with Brains. We make up our own minds on subjects. It surely doesn't mean that the vast majority of CCFC fans who refuse to go to the Ricoh to watch s**t football are wrong. As for your analogy about money being "Pumped into the City" and people quietly leaving. Don't you think if they "Pumped" it into the playing squad supporters might actually "Cut them a bit of leeway" if they see them trying to better the team?

The long list of reasons that moving us to northampton was unnecessary, stupid, wrong and immensely damaging to the short, medium and long term of the football club have absolutely nothing to do with Franchising, just because 2 or 3 misguided and uninformed individuals thought bizarrely that sisu might permanently move us to northampton doesn't mean that move had anything to do with franchising, what some fans views are towards Wasps (and personally I'm never going) is completely irrelevant when it comes to discussing how terrible sisu have been as owners.

Also while the move to northampton was probably the worst thing sisu have done as owners it's not even remotely close to being the only reason they aren't fit to be owners, it's just the one that showed every reasonable person (and it's ok I know that doesn't include you) that Sisu do not have the interests of CCFC at heart.

I'm paying my £15 to watch Cov tomorrow even though according to people in the know here I could go to watch Wasps for free again tomorrow. So presumably I'll see you at the BPA be nice to meet you. Promise I wont go for a Big Mac or a Subway I too hate franchising.

Sisu will batten down the hatches, run us as cheaply as possible, (also has the added effect of Wasps getting less money from our fans) and then they will go in with an extremely low offer for a new rental agreement, stake in the stadium. It will only be a miracle if we manage to stay in this division.

No chance at all that we've been break even, we may have been cashflow positive at one point (as per Fisher), but the period that covered was never specified, and I suspect it was short lived.

I'm mostly being flippant. I agree that eventually if they continue losing money at some stage they will try to sell the name for anything they can get. If they cannot get anything they will liquidate. But for now they are happy to keep the club as close to break-even on operating costs versus revenue as they can and continue taking bonus dividends whenever a youngster happens to attract attention.
