the sad thing is there's another case on hold just waiting to go after this one's done.
Then depending on the outcome of those probably more appeals to follow.
Another 18 months racking up legal bills

July, Fucking Ridiculous. That's getting on for a full year after the initial decision just to decide if they are allowed to appeal.

The courts probably have better things to do than listen to a bunch of 'uber capitalists' squealing because they lost few quid. Where do they get the idea from that they are entitled to a return on invesment.

The courts are half the problem, 3 different decisions just to decide if you are allowed to appeal. Just do it properly once. The whole system is an utter disgrace.

Hence reason why I have stopped going to watch the Sky Blues.

I am not going to take part in subsidising these owners and there court case nonsense while our beloved clubs slowly and painfully dies.

There is a cats in hell chance any Judge will allow tax payers money to be compromised by a private organisation such as SISU.

The judges will know who are paying there wages.

I assume they now have the July date, and if they lose that, they take it higher. If they lose that they then start the seperate JR to challenge the loan between ACL and wasps, which cant start until this one is done. Once that starts, the merry go round starts again.

Going by previous timescales, it cant be unrealistic to think the could drag for at least another 2 years and more ?

Probably longer. It's 18 months since the first JR application. (Edited as my dates were mixed up)

Sisu's continued ownership of the club is only now a means to get to court.

If all goes to plan I shall be sunning my ass somewhere warm about then and not tuning in to yet another load of guff from a court room where a hedge fund throws a few crocodile tears in a last ditch { joke } attempt to win back some credibility !

That will come as per usual in early August
so they can gel into the DNA by October

Will it ever end surely if they lose this JR and then start another it could be 5 years plus after all the appeals, the only good news is we will be in The Joy Bowl by then sitting in the Tim Fisher stand.

Is it any wonder the fanbase is deserting this club in their hundreds/thousands.

Personally sick to death of the whole shebang, and now we have endless threads on SBT discussing the pro's and con's of this court date, can't wait.

The whole lot of them are absolute bastards for what they have done to this once great club, hold your heads in shame the lot of you.

If Ipswich/Norwich get to the Prem i'll take a few games in there instead of putting my money into this carcrash of a club. Diss Town and the odd game at Portman road it is for me next season, fuck me how depressing

Coventry Telegraph

"Pressley raring to go"

The court case of SISU v CCC which started today isn't detracting from SP pre season preperations. Steve Wagott confirmed "we have been working extremely hard over the summer to build a squad and ethos that will give SP every chance of a promotion push in League Two. We have scouts in place all over Scotland, Wales and Ireland looking for players who fits with SP ethos and the way he wants his team to shape up. We are delighted to have brought in the 17 year lad from Wigan on a 30 day loan, and hopefully look to get one or two more over the line before the season starts. The loss of Ryan Haynes was unfortunate, but his head was turned by Brentford and the £100k fee we received will be given to steve to strengthen the playing side of the squad. I am in touch on a daily basis with the Stadium group and we hope to have some news in the coming months regarding the purchase of land within the coventry area. We visited Weston Super Mare last week and were very impressed with the set up and its amazing what can be achieved with 100% of the revenues, which if we adopted that model here, SP would get 60p in the pound to invest in the squad. We acknowldge we havent been as open with the fans as they would have liked and that will change."

Regardless of who wins, the dwindling supporters of Coventry City and possibly the rate players of Coventry are the ones who feel the pain.

Bloody hell how much longer does this shit have to drag on for.

I think Fisher is going to be in for a shock at the pitiful level of tickets sold for next season.

I think you misunderstood me. I agree with being able to appeal, I even for the most part agree with having a decision about whether you can appeal. I absolutely positively don't agree though with 3 decisions about whether you can appeal, each 6 months apart before you even get to an actual appeal which would likely be another 6 months later. The current system allows you to ruin people whether you have a case or not if they don't have much money and you do.

my do it properly once comment was in relation to doing the can they appeal hearing once properly. not getting rid of appeals.

As much as I dislike SISU they cannot be denied recourse to the law like the rest of us. We cannot be selective

July is fine with me. By then my season ticket will have expired and I will be in a position where I shall not be contributing another brass farthing to this ridiculous farce. I suspect many others will have abandoned the club for good by then too. Seppala, Fisher & the remaining cast of idiots can repent their folly at their leisure.

Agree and even the people I go with are saying that they will not be renewing which has really shocked me.

In fairness, there appeal has been rejected twice since then. If they keep putting themselves back in the system?
