Protests (2 Viewers)

Preservation Sky Blues Group

"The situation both on and off the pitch has now become critical. PSB ( Preservation Sky Blues) shares the great concern being raised by thousands of supporters and is completely focused on doing everything it can to help preserve OUR football club. The sacking of Steven Pressley was inevitable but his departure should not mask the fact that the problems with CCFC run far deeper than the managerial position. Whoever comes in will have the same lack of investment to deal with. We firmly believe the malaise at this football club is deep rooted and will only be turned round with new owners at the helm.

On Saturday we staged the second and final of our in ground protests. Although it was moderately supported we are well aware that it could have been a lot better. The clear message we have received subsequently is that we now need to apply more serious tactics. Rest assured that was always our intention.

The Swindon Town and Sheffield United protests were merely "testing the water" whilst keeping the spotlight on sisu. Now is the time to implement some of the more "hard hitting " strands of our strategy. Some of which I will detail in this message.

Firstly though it is important that we recognise that the team are now in very serious danger of being relegated to the 4th tier of English football. For a club of our proud history that is unthinkable. We therefore urge everybody to get up to the Ricoh between now and the end of the season and get behind the boys.

Thereafter, hopefully having avoided the drop, we say to SISU, enough is enough. We call on all Coventry City supporters to join us in boycotting season tickets for the 2015/2106 season. We know for many that will be hard but it has now become obvious that the only thing that makes SISU sit up and take any notice is when they are starved of money. The reason for the Ricoh return was the fact that playing at Sixfields in front of a handful of supporters was costing them dearly. We need these people to understand that until they sell up we will not continue to fund them.

Further details will follow between now and the end of the season but the message for now is this. When season tickets do actually go on sale, however tempted you may be, think of the bigger picture and keep your money in your pocket and out of SISU coffers.

We are also planning a large scale peaceful protest at SISU Headquarters in London. Monday April 13th is the provisional date for this at present but we will confirm shortly. We know from past experience that Joy Seppala and SISU hate it when we start getting close to her business empire so hopefully a good turn out on the day will help them to get the message that they are no longer wanted at our club and that they should put it up for sale at the earliest opportunity.

Finally for now another date for your diary. Tuesday July 7th is the next sisu court date which we shall be staging another demonstration at the High Court in London to coincide with SISU's latest legal challenge being heard. Further details will follow in due course.

Now is not the time for apathy. As Coventry City supporters we need to be passionate in everything we do. Passionate in supporting our team but also passionate in our belief that for us to be able to progress as a football club we need to do that with new owners. Owners that care about football and who care about Coventry City Football Club.

We owe it to ourselves as fans to do everything we can to preserve OUR Sky Blues.

Preservation Sky Blues ( PSB)"

If nothing else written by someone who has a good standard of written English. Nothing puts me off more than a piece full of grammatical errors etc.
I'm sure many will knock all of these demonstrations etc but if we all sit around doing nothing one thing for sure is that nothing will happen.

I thought this group wanted SISU to leave? Selling no season tickets doesn't make us very attractive to any potential new owner does it?

Seems to me they've read the threads about how many people are not renewing and are jumping on the back of that. At the start of next season they'll take credit for the drop in sales.

Tend to agree. Also not quite sure what kind of mixed message 'everybody turn up this season as we can't be relegated, but don't turn up next season' is, either. Surely that just means in 8 months time you end up asking people to turn up again?!?

Genius! Although I don't think that they'll need any help in boycotting the season ticket sales. If they appoint another manager looking to cut his teeth and prove himself such as Hockaday then I don't believe that gates will be above 5,000 next year - whether we stay in this league or not.

Saying that, he could be a tactical genius and win every game between now and the end of the season winning promotion via the play offs!

However I doubt it....

They also say get down and support the team now we're in danger of relegation.

So, next season when the new players will be of even lessor standard due to lack of ST income and we'll quickly find us in a new relegation battle - will they change their mind and urge people to spend money to support the team then?

Peterborough away is the ideal place for protest, and protest by massing the place out with support, should easily top last years MK Dons away game, not put a penny in the sisu pocket and show others our potential AND most importantly support the team at the game.

I think they should have left out the bit about going up the Ricoh between now and the end of the season. Obviously I'm no longer in the country but, when I was, I was in the NOPM camp.

I agree about encouraging people not to purchase STs though.

We need to make it no longer viable for them to sit on their investment and wait while we all suffer.
