It wasn't 27,000 sisu fans who turned out on our return to the Ricoh, the last positive thing to happen at our club. It was 27,000 football fans hoping to see some football. If we'd continued to win, we'd still be getting the crowds, and we wouldn't be focusing on our owners. But it all went wrong, and it's taken a long time to get round to taking any further positive action. But now it's happened, are we going to give our team a fresh surge of support? Are we going to show any change on the terraces as a result of Pressley's sacking? If we show our support in numbers on Saturday, this will surely encourage team, who must be looking for a sense of change from all quarters.....we can play our part, and I hope we do!

We won our first game back and the attendance at the next home game which we also won was 11085. It was always going to drop off regardless. I didn't go to the Gillingham game myself as I was abroad, and usually I'd be slagging people off for giving up so quickly. I did at the time when I was still going.

But the figures suggest you are wrong.

Then we lost, drew, lost then won. Attendance at the win? 8957. It wasn't a terrible run, but the football was shite and I think I'd stopped going by then, last time I went was Bristol I think and I left at half time.

If the owners just stuck to the task of running a football club in the customary sort of fashion I would agree but this is a determined, incompetent and arrogant hedge fund who dragged the club away from its home city for 18 months and just when people started to gain hope for change as we returned they chucked it in the faces of the fans once again by declaring it was all temporary and the court cases would continue !

This Gillingham game and it's attendance is always being brought up. A large gate was always going to happen should we return to the Ricoh especially if the season had started which it had and the fall away was always going to happen. What it did shoe however was potential, as did the 32000 Crewe gate. There is a crowd potential here but we have suffered years of problems going back before SISU and since they came. That will take more than gimmicky game like Gillingham to turn things around. But I take the fact we can take over 7000 would have been a lot more had their ground been finished to MK Dons for a piddling division 3 match as hope for the future if we get things right.

I think it was. Probably had an effect. But also I had several people taking the piss that they were going to the Gillingham game and I couldn't, who were doing the same that I was going to the next game and they weren't. Big time Charlie's day out and not a barometer of future attendances.

When has changing the manager actually had a positive and lasting benefit to the Sky Blues even in the short term (can think of only one over the last 20yrs, Mark Robins and he jumped ship).

We are now looking for our 12th manager since Gordon Strachen was dismissed in 2001, not a record to be particularly proud of and my guess is that in a couple of years time exactly the same thing will happen.

I'd have stuck with 'Elvis' for the long-term, we'll have great difficulty in finding a more passionate and totally hard working and committed manager, would like to wish him all the best and good luck in the future.

RFC you defend everything SISU do which is your choice but seen as you are in the know when are we finding out about the new stadium and how will that benefit CCFC if CCFC do not own it?

Sorry RFC can't agree. To me SP proved time and time again he is not and never will be a good football manager at this level of above. We will find him dotting about probably the Scottish leagues couple of years here a couple there, but at top level no way. Has no man management skills whatsoever a vital component to be a decent pro. manager and he will never learn that, you are what you are and that will always come out eventually.

yeovil crowd was a real shame. second home match, on a winstreak lol and not many turned up. then we won and attendences still fell.

lets hope we play better now SP has gone and can tempt some back.

No, not at all. At the time I was shocked at the drop. I was expecting around 18,000-20,000 maybe for that game. Still can't get my head round it, but what I am trying to say is in terms of the drop from 11,000. That was more like our 'normal' attendance.

I think the attendances dropped further and further because it was a bit like watching paint dry this season, Peterborough apart.

Couple of genuine points here Torchy....Why? when the vast majority of supporters thought SISU were finally doing something good for the fans, did Fisher wait till the very last minute of tickets and ST's being sold to open his big gob to burst the bubble of optimism running throughout the City supporters? Where did that "Full house" money go?..Certainly wasn't to the "Football Club" was it! It went straight to the fund of "Let's batter the f**k out of the Council in a NEW JR" again! It's as tho' they wait till funds are low then come up with a idea to "Curry favour" with the fans, take some more money off them then "Royally shaft them up the a**e" once again!

I am going nowhere near the inside of the Ricoh unless we get owners that run the club as what it is, a football club. Instead of a loss leader while they chase fruitless court cases.

The bond between many fans and the team is broken and they do not seem to care or do any thing about building any sort of bridges.

Gillingham was an 'event' game as was Wasps first match there. Both clubs then suffered significant drops in attendance. The City match was an outpouring of optimism but soon to be pissed on by Fishers comments about moving on again, I still think that it would have dropped to around 15,000 even if he had kept his gob shut though. Oh and ticket sales/arrangements for the Yeovil match were once again a shambles, we queued for 25 mins to get in !
