For the first time in a long time I am looking forward to Saturdays game with excitement! Port Vale are a poor side in this division and one we should be beating with ease...I am hoping TM will get the best out these lot because if he does there is definitely potential for exciting football and more importantly GOALS.

Most sides in this league would love to be able to boast the fact they have players like tudgay, nouble, jackson, fleck...point being is this squad should be a lot higher up in the table it's just that Pressley didn't have a clue how to get the best out of them. Also hoping TM likes playing wingers and not this stupid 4-3-play wherever you want formation.

As I've said port vale are a poor side if we keep marshall quiet were in for a good day. Good

They're a damn site closer to the play offs than we are and play direct football that sometimes gets results in this league.

Get what you mean, but at the start of the season bet there wasn't many fans that were disappointed with him signing. But how did pressley play him? As a target man to begin with....tabb and misfud would have been better target men. Like I said complete mismanagement of a good squad

If your players under estimate us as much as you have I will be a happy man at 5pm Saturday. 3 wins in 4 and still with a chance of the play offs. Haven't conceded in open play for nearly 7 hours. Were an average side in an average division yes... poor no.

The fact you lost to us at home when we had pressley in charge suggests differently. As the table shows it's not hard to be up there competing it's a poor league with not much in it. Good luck though

Everyone is beating everyone else (We did have three key players missing too in Pope, Lines and O'Connor) plus now have Moore and Inniss who are currently our two best performers, it will be a vastly different XI. Coventry are below us so from our point of view we will be feeling we should be winning this and equally you'll fancy your chances under a new boss. Set up to be a good tie.

Do you see yourselves as safe though now even if you lost tomorrow then?

To be fair this league is full of very poor teams, you and us included.

Considering most managers throughout his career have used him as a focal point up front because he can hold the ball up, suggests to me you're just looking at physical attributes rather than how he plays and another chance to Pressley-bash. And saying Vale are a "poor side in this division"... I'd also say you either don't know much or you're a troll.

Erm the three wins have helped and I'd like to think we can get to 52 points (7 more) comfortably. We have Yeovil and Orient away (Both poor at home) and Colchester and Crawley to visit so 7 points from them? With our home form (Tuesday aside and your visit) we should be comfy.

Just wish I could make this game. However I had a dream last night that we were dire in the first half and after a TM half time hair dryer we went out and tore them a new A hole coming out 3-1 winners with our second half performance then setting the standard for the rest of the season meaning we went on to finish comfortably in the top half of the league. Then I woke up.

Fair enough with that run in provided you don't have a major slump you should avoid getting dragged into it.

So assuming your safe, if you could arrange a defeat for Vale tomorrow, then turn over those others it'll be much appreciated.
Good luck for rest of season after tomorrow.

Anyone thinking we will suddenly play attractive one touch passing football is absolutely deluded, TM has had 3 days to work with the squad and is still learning alot about each players ability, any changes to the play will take alot longer than people think, all we will see tomorrow is a different formation tinkered here and there, with a bit more fire in the belly and a bit of confidence installed by TM nothing else.

This will be a cagey affair with 1 goal separating the two sides in a 2.1 result... to who I am not too sure just yet.

Be a tough game tomorrow, will definitely need to be up for the battle. Feeling slightly confident though (for a change) 2-1 city. PUSB

All I want to see this season is players with some idea of a plan and a bit of motivation.

Then next season with his own squad we storm the league in the first of back to back promotions!

tbf I'd call every team in this league outside of the top 5 poor, it will be the least shit team this year that scrapes into the play offs in 6th place.

yeah id rather play well and draw than play like did vs mk dons and win.

not normally my way of thinking

We are deep in a relegation battle. We need to win games. And if that means win ugly then so be it. Get enough points on the board then try playing good football. Keep the manager for next season and let him bring in the players he wants and we can afford. We will have players come to us because of the manager we have. The remainder of this season is all about survival and not picking up the odd point.

Take out our lucky 3 points from the MK game and what does our form against the bottom 4 look like? 23rd are only 2 points behind us. If Leyton Orient get a point and we lose we are back in the bottom 4. We are running out of games to get safe.

We were never going to get relegated from the Prem. We were never going to get relegated fron the Championship. We will never get relegated from Division 3.......

If that happens we are fucked, Id rather Mowbray tells them to start kicking 7 lumps of shit out of em and getting it forward via any means possible to cause havoc in the box then worry about pretty ticky tacky football in the summer.

Results please and draws are no bloody good!

we have mowbray now.

pressley tactics are reason we so low

chill

We have Mowbray yes. But he has the same players that SP brought in and not the type of players he needs for the way he likes to play. He has not had much time to change the way that they play. It could take 10 games to make much of a difference.

100% agree with this, look at some of the players that started for Vale the other night:

Michael Brown
Carl Dickinson
Mark Marshall
Ben Williamson
Michael O'Connor

They really are an average bunch of players in an average league.

And yet, they'd all probably walk into our side....
