if that is so it's very disappointing indeed, but I honestly thought there looked a few more than that. I was down the front of the East stand and it's difficult to see how many were in our stand from my vantage point but the north stand looked a little healthier than usual .

Only if you keep posting negatively and don't get behind the team!

what should we all chant then once we're 3-1 down with absolutely not one second half opportunity ?

All your fault. Nothing to do with the horseshit on the pitch. Shame on you ccfcway.

No 8k was about right. For me the ground looked empty. Disappointing after 2 victories but it's still early days and it's going to take more to lure fans back. In saying that. 2 of my mates came back today and 2nd half performance has not given them the feel to come back

The decline has taken 20 years, reengagement is not going to happen overnight.

What's the population of Peterborough? How large is their fanbase historically?

isnt it about 170,000 ?

by that reckoning (if you times by 2 for the cov population) ,do you think we would get less than 12,000 if we were in play offs ?

What has that got to do with the size of the crowd? what were the crowds like 10 years or even 7 years ago?

My guess is that's what he means by decline, although I'd say it's only in the last few years that crowds have shown real decline rather than hovering around a steady figure. Allowing for the new ground factor when we moved to the Ricoh it was always pretty constant.

Given the amount of people at the Gillingham and Crewe and Chelsea games and the population of Coventry, we should get far more........and so on

We should do but I preferred spending yesterday watching my eldest lad play, the football is dire up there and let's be fair even with a big crowd they hardly act as the twelfth man, the Gillingham game was meant to be the big return but we scraped it in the end.
I took my lads up before Christmas and the game was awful and at half time NO HOTDOGS !!! Hardly anyone there so the mice must have ate em all !

Fucking hell...

We were the better side that day but not by much. Two poor teams in a poor division. One being slightly less poor than the other.

I used to support leicester but stopped as they had no burgers left one game. Couldn't get over it.

Population of an area is a very poor way to gauge support.

Using that theory Leeds United are one of the worst supported clubs in the country.

Last time we mounted a promotion challenge in this division crowds went up by 16k, what is there to suggest that wouldn't happen again?

The fans are not coming back, why do people presume differently? SISU are still here, most stay away fans stay away due to SISU. It won't change.

Our crowds were poor until we moved to the Ricoh and then we saw over 20k being the average.

It's hilarious that the fundamentalists will label me as a sisu lover for pointing this out. Morons.
