it's all about the revenues.....

Exactly. We are not even allowed to have proper merchandising space in the ground we play in.

To suggest it isn't about revenues suggests also wasps are as clueless as sisu as they said without owning 365 day revenues they couldn't compete.

Been like that since we've been back hasn't it? They've certainly been operating from a table whenever I've been there this season.

Sounds like the arena aren't giving them any other options going off what's being said on the club Twitter

I enquired, and its not a definitive answer as you'd probably need to speak to Fisher not someone working a matchday, but I was told Wasps won't allow us a permanent retail space and want a big chunk of change for us to keep anything in storage up there.

Are the club prepared to pay the going rate for a proper retail outlet at the Ricoh? It seems to me that this sorry state of affairs reflects the cost cutting that has gone on. The trestle tables have been there for a while why is it being highlighted now?

Cant help but wonder if this has to be someone else's fault again .....

Judging by the current retail outlet for the club there isn't enough stock for the two tables any way

You can't possibly know that.
I still say the old phones4u show at Tescos would be better the Gallagher park

Wasps want everything CCFC related kept to a minimum I suspect. Hence there being very little 'CCFC related' things around, and where it is, it's in small quantity.

i even spotted a few ex player posters up, but suspected they were either left up from the legends / retro day, or recycled maybe?

eeither way, I think the club are damned if they do, damned if they don't.

I think that the point is that the actions (perhaps "inactions" would be a better word) don't match the rhetoric.

When you change your posting style to only post things you actually believe then I'll have a reasonable discussion with you. I'm sure you know how many holes are in both of your sentences without me pointing them out to you.

My god you're on the PR offensive today. You really want ML's old job don't you.

2 questions

1) who has said we're not allowed proper merchandising space at the Ricoh?

2) what merchandise do we have to sell in this proper space that's been denied"

We've all seen the pictures of the retail trailer at Peterborough what's stopping us investing in one and parking it at the Ricoh on match days?

No Grendel...this is about SISU! If Wasps are a block, fans have already suggested a mobile shop. The fact is SISU have no ideas, they have no marketing nouse, they are a financial institution and pretty green at that! They came to us on the back of boom; unfortunately Seppala and her cohorts have been found lacking since.

We don't have the right to put anything outside the Ricoh do we unless we have joint access with ACl?

Wasps have already said they can personalise the dressing rooms as they want and I'm sure if we ASK they will allow us to personalise the stadium.
I suspect that the real issue for Sisu is that while they are progressing the JR and 'hopefully' talking about a new stadium in some form of negotiating tactic, they can't be seen to be buttering up to a Ricoh makeover.

They can't even fill the outlet shop they do own so this is just typical of our owners and lack of sales tactics. Don't worry the new ground will have a massive retail outlet in it full of mugs pens and ipad cases that no fucker wants.

I thought we were on a cheap rent deal with no thrills. I hope the guy selling has enough stock for 365 Days...

So he said we can sell merchandise in a mobile unit outside the ground for zero charge?

What about inside the stadium? Can we do that as well? If so where?

Would depend what % of the crowd go through Tesco and what the rent would be against what they pay now. Its an option certainly and maybe a suitable question to be raised at the SCG.

We were selling it inside the stadium yesterday. With a little effort I'm sure it could be improved :thinking about:

Grief, well I reckon a primary school class could make a better presentation of even the limited space allowed that I see in that picture.
